It's made up of a quaint little cul-de-sacs, with narrow, slightly steep roads leading to each unique house and surrounded by colourful flora. It's these things which give it it's name, "Punta de la Mona" (Point of Beauty). The area is quiet, peaceful and very relaxing with friendly neighbours. La Aldea is a little paradise and a chance for escapism.

There are several hiking routes from the village and free public parking within approximately 4 minutes walk.
