MACOMO is named after "Makomo (true bamboo)". It is a plant of the Poaceae family that grows in colonies along the water's edge and is also called "Makomodake". Because it has a purifying effect on soil and water, it has been called "the grass where the gods dwell" and "the grass of fate" since ancient times, and is considered a sacred plant. It is used as a mat (mushiro) and a tool for purification in Shinto rituals such as at Izumo Taisha Shrine. We hope you have a pleasant trip to this inn. When you pass through the tunnel of autumn leaves (maple), the inn surrounded by trees appears, and the surroundings are very quiet. It is an area where birds (woodpeckers, cuckoos, thrushes, etc.) and animals (flying foxes, foxes, deer, hares, etc.) coexist and thrive. Please forget your daily worries and relax so that the birds are not startled. The tap water at Macomo comes from the beautiful water source of Shioi Shrine. The historic city of Dazaifu is said to be a small Kyoto in the west. It is in a very convenient location in front of Nishitetsu Gojo Station, and there are many drug stores, convenience stores, supermarkets, and restaurants around the station. A newly built apartment built in 2021, in front of The SoundCrest Gojo Station, all rooms have a stylish exterior and luxury interior with more than 60m2 rooms, and a one-class stay. There is Dazaifu Station next to Nishitetsu Gojo Station, so it is the best location for walking around Dazaifu, a historical city. There are sightseeing spots within walking distance, such as Kanzeon-ji Temple, Saidan-in Temple, and Dazaifu Government Office sites. In addition, this facility is located in a good location in front of Nishitetsu Gojo Station, but the site area is 1320m2 Free parking is available in all rooms. If you come by car, we will provide an ideal environment as a base for your trip to Kyushu. The house was built in 2005 but the first floor was partially renovated in October 2024. There is an outside deck that has panoramic ocean views. Bedding is one queen, one double and two single beds. There is also a futon mattress if needed (not super comfy). The house is in a residential area so refrain from making loud noise especially after dark. Being surrounded by nature near the ocean, you may occasionally encounter seasonal insects outdoors, particularly around lights at night.
