Family-friendly vacation rentals in Kyushu

Traveling is really exciting and fun, but sometimes you're tired, right? So it's really important to me how comfortable and cozy it is when I come back to the house after a long day of walking around. The accommodation I stayed in this time was the best in that regard! It was in a quiet residential area, so I felt comfortable even before I arrived. In addition, the tatami room you see as soon as you enter and the fluffy bed on the second floor were the best! There was also an air conditioner, so I was able to sleep coolly. There were 3 of us, but the second floor room was separated, so it was nice that we weren't disturbed by each other when sleeping. I slept really refreshed for two days in a fluffy bed. In the morning, I woke up a little earlier than my friends who went with me and went out for a walk to buy coffee. Walking in a quiet neighborhood in the morning made me feel like I was on a trip. Tenjin Minami Station was close, so it was easy to buy coffee and bread, and there were many restaurants nearby, so it was fun to see. Especially since I went on a trip with old friends, I think it will be a more memorable accommodation.

I was very impressed by the polite service. I stayed with 4 other people, but there were 4 beds, and there was a single bed that could be pulled out, so there were 5 beds, so there was no problem at all. Thank you very much.

The lodge is stunning! I really enjoyed my stay here, if you've got a car I highly recommend it. Victoria is a great host, always happy to help and very quick to respond.

The foreigner at the receptionist was friendly and my 1-year-old son asked for a high touch (^ ^) It was a good trip.I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

This Airbnb is one of the best I've stayed at 💖 It's located fairly close to the airport, and also to Tenjin shopping area. There are several buses + subway lines that can get there without having to transfer. Within 10min walking there are many restaurants nearby as well. It was easy to find and get inside with the keypad lock. Masaru-san sent all the info I needed before I arrived so I could get in quickly. There is equipment for cooking, utensils and cutlery, the bathroom was very clean, everything was super organized. There were many bicycles downstairs I could use, Masaru-san even provided an umbrella and laundry detergent which I find many Airbnbs don't have (the umbrella was super helpful as it was the rainy season so there was rain for several days). There was even a booklet on the table listing sightseeing places and food in Fukuoka, very thoughtful. Masaru-san is very responsive to messages and always answered quickly. Wonderful stay, definitely recommend 👍✨✨

Five of us stayed in June.The house was beautiful, clean and very comfortable.I felt that it was especially important that the three bedrooms were separate and that we could sleep well without interfering with each other.At another inn the next day, the bedroom was close and there was no partition, so it was noisy and the lights were bright, so it was difficult. The open-air bath was not that large, but my grandson was delighted and went in many times. The location was quiet, but it was nice to be able to walk to the main street.This can be said for the whole of Yufuin, but the roads are very narrow, so it was a little difficult to get out of the parking lot in a large car. The host was very polite and kind, and I had no trouble and was comfortable.It was a house that made me want to come back.

I'll definitely book again here if I go back to Fukuoka. It's around 10 mins walk to the nearest train station. Plus you can use the bikes to go around the city. Overall the location is great and it's like a japanese home. Masura is also responsive and even help us borrow a weight scale that we used to kilo our luggage.

It is a traditional old Japanese house, so there is a lot of inconvenience compared to modern hotels, but it is very spacious and there are no houses around, so I think you can relax without worrying about the surroundings.The host is one of the best in the past, so I think it will be a fulfilling trip if you communicate a lot.

This is my second stay and I am still very satisfied. There are free ice cream and coffee for all meals and drinks. I will choose again next time I come to Fukuoka.

Zhang was friendly and helpful. She also answered all my questions very quickly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The location is great. A short walk to the famous sand sauna and a bus stop. There are many restaurants all within walking distance and we had no problem staying here without a car. Recommended.

A lovely place about 20 minutes drive from Saiki. Highlights were: incredible sashimi (saiki is known for its fish); local onsens (one of them over looking the sea with salt water); hiking in the surroundings and on the nearby island. I would recommend coming with a car as the bus service is fairly infrequent. However the family very kindly took time to drive us around to the places we wanted to visit. Highly recommend!

A very homely Japanese family house with tatami floors. It felt like we were staying at a friend's place (who happens to have kids lol). The neighbor is very quiet and I'm sure the host family is very friendly and helpful, but we only stayed one night and left very early in the morning.

Even though the check-in was significantly delayed, you handled it nicely. Even though it was late at night, the interior description was very polite, and I felt that it was a great place to stay. Thanks to you, we had a pleasant trip to Kagoshima. Thank you very much.

The hospitality and food were off the charts! The food was unexpectedly incredible and the best meals we experienced on our three week trip. OKUMA and his wife were perfect hosts. It felt like a homestay. The accommodation is traditional and simple and the somewhat remote location is a perfect respite from the hectic cities. We walked up into the hills and around the island and travelled to Saiki and Oita.

Such a kind and thoughtful host! Shared local recommendations and help. Very peaceful and quiet. Rural - need to get any food or items in town before driving up. I visited Mt Futago and the beach before driving to Beppu about an hour away. Wouldn’t recommend for tall people as the bedroom upstairs has a low ceiling.

Very chic unit with nice decorations and props that make you feel like home. A lot of things to explore in the house itself. My kids loved it so much.

The sea was right in front of me, and the environment was very good, and I had a fun time. The sea paths such as the aquarium were crowded in GW, so it was more crowded than expected until I went to a private lodging house, but it was very comfortable after entering Nishitosaki. I'd love to stay there again if I get the chance.

They responded flexibly to our concerns and selfishness, and we had a great time. The room was also very nice and we had a pleasant time. I didn't want to go home, so I stayed until the last minute of check-out. I'd love to stay again!

Good spot to stay ehile in Fukuoka

Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay than at Big Bridge Guest Room. This place is a little out of the way if you're visiting Saga City, but we found it to be the perfect quiet home base in rural Japan, and the train station is a 10 min. walk (3 minute cycle with the free bicycles offered us) to Ushizu station. From there, trains run relatively regularly to Saga and take around 8-10 min. The place itself was gorgeous, with a beautiful tatami mat room to sleep in, and a view of the adjoining rice paddies. We cycled all the way to Kiyomizu falls, which was tough as it was a very hot day in April, but it was worth it. Most serene waterfall I've ever been to. The local specialty at the falls is carp, which we passed on, but maybe the next person booking a stay at Big Bridge can try it! 10/10 stay in Ushizu, anyway 🙏🏼

Helpful and professional. It was such a cozy, warm traditional house which had modern facilities so adapting was not difficult. We were in love with the futon and tatami mats and the overall set up of the traditional home. It was also CLEAN! which is so essential for my family.

It's a little far from Hakata Station, but there are other stations nearby. There is a very delicious yakitori restaurant right in front and a steakhouse on the right, which solved the lunch and dinner perfectly. The accommodation is the same as the photos, the water comes out well, and the description is good, so I used it well. However, if the windows are a little thin, the soundproofing is insufficient, but the other things are so good that it's not bothering me. This is a great place to stay for your trip.

Really nice traditional house. Next to a busy road so be mindful of the traffic noise, especially in the smaller room but we all got decent sleep in the main bedroom area. Convenient location and very lovely hosts.
