Or go the opposite direction 1.5 hrs to Matanuska Glacier and take a guided tour out on the glacier! NO SMOKERS please as we live here as well and don’t enjoy the smell of cigarette smoke around our home. Thank you.

The main entrance to the military bases is also close by, and you are minutes from down town. Unit #2 is accessed down five stairs, so guests need to be ambulatory. Host Liz was born and raised in Alaska, and has loads of information to share about life here. Samsung TV has a ROKU streaming stick.

It's only 5 minutes away from downtown Anchorage allowing you to enjoy the city without having to hear the noise of it at night. We are also 2 blocks from the entrance to Elmendorf Air Force Base. Mountain views all around and if you're lucky you can see the northern lights. Short walk to Ship Creek for Salmon fishing. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).

Cupples Cottage #2: Downtown!

Welcome to the award winning Cupples Cottages! This 600sf flat was recently renovated and is beautifully furnished. When built in 1952 by my late grandfather these units were offered fully furnished providing temporary housing primarily to the construction workers living away from their families working on my grandfather's construction crew. Fast forward over 70 years and 3 generations and the property has been reimagined as Cupples Cottages Vacation Rentals, operating since 2017.

We are close to town, 30 minutes from Hatchers pass, lots of hiking, golf 5 minutes away, local breweries. We work hard to give a safe clean environment to stay so please no smoking or pets.
