Beachfront vacation rentals in Kauai

Absolutely loved our stay at this Airbnb in Kauai! The views were breathtaking—we couldn’t get enough of watching the ocean right from the property. The space was spotless and felt super comfortable, and Brandi was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and made everything easy from start to finish. But the real magic? Sleeping with the windows open and hearing the waves crash all night long. It was like having a real-life sound machine, only better. So peaceful and relaxing—we’ve never slept so well! Would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

This condo was the PERFECT location, especially with kiddos. The huge lawn was so fun to play on, we could walk to two beaches including Poipu and the coffee shop across the street was soooo yummy, we went to the pool at the Athletic Club everyday which was so fun and convenient and it was great that both the pool and beach had towel rentals (free). We even got snorkel rentals right at the beach. The condo was equipped with an umbrella, boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs which made for a really comfortable time.

When we return to Kauai, our trip will be based around when we can book C5, as we felt everything was amazing and perfect for our liking. Thank you Greg!!

Great spot to stay. Commutation was clear and we got excellent advice once we arrived on the local things to try out. It’s advertised as shared but you get all the privacy of having your own place. They have starwars chopsticks which light up like light sabers: totally lit up our dinners.

Cash’s place was great with an amazing view and easy walk to see a great sunset

Craig’s condo was the perfect place! Located in Princeville close to many restaurants, beaches, and walking trails. The condo offered great light and was spacious. Although it was just two of us (and our pup), the condo could comfortably accommodate a family or group. We would definitely recommend for a vacation in the Princeville/Hanalei area.

Great condo in a great resort! Waking up to the view in the backyard is all I have to say. Absolutely gorgeous. In addition to that, the condo itself was wonderful. Extremely spacious. The host was great, as well. I would definitely stay here again! Just a great experience overall.

Evans was an amazing host! He gave us plenty of local recommendations, and even lent us some of his own belongings to use for the beach! Very gracious and hospitable!

The view was amazing! We really enjoyed the beach, had it to ourselves on two morning visits minus a napping monk seal! The bed was comfortable and surprisingly so was the couch. Thanks!

Lauren reached out to us that we could check in early, she was also so kind to let us have a late check in as well. The unit was so beautiful with stunning ocean views. Would definitely stay again and tell our friends about this special spot.

One of the nicest AirBNB’s I’ve stayed in. Kitchen is fully, and I mean FULLY stocked. So many DVDs to watch. Pool room is a blast. Lots of toys and beach equipment. Board games. AC works great. WiFi is fast. Patio is clean and comfortable. Coffee tastes/works great. 75/10 rating

Danielle’s place perfectly matched the pictures and description. Nicely updated interior, clean and modern, completely free of any clutter. It was wonderful waking up to the sunrise over the ocean every morning. A fun little hike to the secluded beach. The community pool was quiet and relaxing with a nice view of the ocean thrown in. All and all a great place and nice locale for all that surrounded the area.

Loved, loved Bret’s place! Beautiful first floor corner condo that provided the best view of the ocean and sunset! Location was quiet and peaceful and a short walk to grass area, pool, recreation room and walking trails. There was a bbq just outside condo near grass area where you could bbq dinner while enjoying the gorgeous view! Condo was clean , organized and had all the extras we needed! There’s a closet with beach chairs, ice chest and snorkel gear which we so appreciated! Bed was very comfortable! Bret’s place is spacious and we felt right at home! Condo is close distance to several spectacular beach’s, shopping, hiking, grocery, restaurants and food trucks. Bret is friendly and great with communication! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Princeville and cannot wait to return to Bret’s place! Thank you Bret for sharing your special slice of heaven with us!

We loved our stay here. My wife & I were both impressed with the room itself - great kitchen with new appliances , convenient coffee bar, spacious bathroom and shower, and very nice to have in-unit laundry with detergent supplied for us! The place also had all the beach gear you could need. Then, the resort amenities were top notch. Great pool & hot tub, lovely fire pit seating area with spectacular views, and great activities available like tennis and pickleball. There’s a bit of a walk down to the beach, but the resort offers complimentary golf cart rides that were always quickly accessible for us if we didn’t want to walk. And, getting down to the beach was absolutely worth it - gorgeous views! We will hope to be back again!

The most perfect stay! My husband and I brought our almost 8 month old and having a pack n play and high chair at our condo was an absolute game changer. We truly didn’t need a THING while staying here. Having so many amenities and extras made it extremely worth while. If we ever go back to Kauai we will 100% stay here again, I don’t think we could stay anywhere else!

This has been our favorite AirBnB yet! It is absolutely stunning! It’s clean, spacious, and the view is nothing short of spectacular! We sat outside watching the sunrise and sunset over the ocean every day. Amazing views! And a huge plus is that you can see and hear the ocean from your bed! It was also very clean, we loved having a washer and dryer, and we used all the beach amenities offered (chairs, umbrellas, cooler, towels, and boogie boards). All in all, great space, great location (it’s also right above turtle cave — which was cool), helpful hosts with a free concierge service, and just overall beautiful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! We were sad to leave it!

We’ve stayed in Baby’s Beach area and Koloa before but never at Kuhio Shores. We really enjoyed location and the unit! The stove wasn’t working properly so that was a bummer as it disrupted a couple meals we planned to make but they were very responsive and came to unit to assess situation. We would stay here again.

Beautiful and secluded location right on the water. The views are unmatched. The cottage is removed from the crowds around Hanalei which is great for privacy but will be a decent drive to most restaurants and stores. The cottage maximizes the views with large windows facing the water. Since there is not A/C in the cottage (as indicated in the listing), we'd recommend to future guests to try and arrive in the afternoon to get the fans going and open the windows so that you can sleep at a comfortable temperature. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it.

Linda was an awesome host. Got back to us quickly and was so kind. She even coordinated a later checkout for us because it was my birthday! Loved the spot, very comfortable and clean. Beautiful jungle backyard view. If there were laundry here, I’d stay forever! Loved it and thank you so much for our wonderful stay. x

We really enjoyed our 10 nights at Devaki’s beautiful house. It was quiet and peaceful. We never closed the windows or blinds and listening to the rain at night was wonderful. Waking up at daybreak to that view was really nice. The location is perfect and we hope to return soon.

This house was perfect. The porch was nestled up against the forest and we had horses visit us each day. It was a very short walk to a quiet beach and a short drive to Hanalei Bay for groceries. Honestly didn’t feel like we needed to go anywhere else on the island because this place was so relaxing.

The cottage was a fantastic launching pad and spot to relax/recoup. It was even more private feeling than the pictures depict. The cottage is surrounded by landscaping that makes the cottage, deck, and shower feel very protected, and quiet…. Yet also safe. The cottage kitchen is well appointed - making it easy to cook (or bbq out back) my meals. The cottage is located next to an easy to access beach, where you’ll often have it to yourself. Taline and Dan were awesome hosts with lots of local knowledge and were extremely responsive. The location is also such that it’s easy to find good food, and places to relax and explore.

This property is all about the view -- the most breathtaking sight ever from the extra-wide balcony with a 180-degree, unobstructed views. We have travelled a lot, but I have never seen anything like this. We felt incredibly blessed to be able to see the sun rise and set and very often a rainbow -- all from the comfort of our room. The unit was comfortable, quiet, and met our needs. The grounds are exceptional, and we really enjoyed eating at Happy Talk, as it looked out over the pool that looked like a stone cove, complete with waterfall. The big downside of this property is having to pay for parking that is a very long walk from the unit, in addition to paying a daily resort fee. While Laurie can't help that, it does take away a bit of the joy, especially since HBR now shares the small beach with 1Hotel next-door. Nevertheless, I can say that even the most experienced traveler would be impressed with this unit, as it is perfectly situated to soak in the best of Hanalei Bay.
