My wife and I really enjoyed our stay! The location couldn’t have been more perfect. We absolutely loved our stay at this amazing condo! 😍 Check-in was super easy, and the moment we walked in we were blown away - everything was spotless, beautifully designed, and felt so cozy. You can tell a ton of love and effort went into every detail. The kitchen was a dream to cook in (there’s even an espresso machine! ☕), with everything labeled and organized perfectly. Everything is well maintained and high quality! The private patio with a view of the lake and palm trees was so peaceful - plus, adorable geckos kept the bugs away. Both bedrooms were super comfy, and the main bathroom? Total spa vibes - you have to take a bath there. The beach is just a 10-minute walk away, with amazing sunsets and the Lava Lava Beach Club right there for drinks and food. There’s also a cute little plaza on the way with shops and restaurants. Honestly, this was our best Airbnb experience ever!!! The host was super helpful, proactive and friendly. BOOK it before it’s gone, it’s a gem

Last-Minute Aloha Deal Private Beach Access

SueRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Went with my husband’s parents for their 80 and 85th birthdays. It was their first time and they were truly impressed with the accommodations. They loved sitting on the lanai for breakfast and enjoying the calm serenity. The rooms were spacious and everything was clean. Beach equipment was provided and all instructions clearly laid out. We were very close to the pool and the private beach, which we loved. There were plenty of shops and restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive. We would definitely come back again.

Boho Island Paradise - Remodeled 2BR/2BA

JasonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We really enjoyed our stay at Sean’s place. Everything matched what was in the photos and description. The condo was very modern and the individual AC units in each of the rooms were awesome and made all the difference in overall comfort. The beds and sheets were very comfortable. The overall location was great with the essential amenities nearby. Sean sent out clear instructions for check in and was in constant communication throughout the stay to make sure everything was ok. We would definitely stay here again.

Piece of Paradise Coffee Farm

DrewRating, 5 stars2 months ago
To each their own but for us this place was perfect. Reasons we preferred this place over a hotel: Secluded and and away from tourists. You can truly relax and unwind after the days activities in peace A very large place for just the two of us to enjoy. Nice kitchen for those that prefer to cook instead of just eating at restaurants Picked fresh limes and grapefruit to use in drinks and breakfast every morning Don't need to pack much because they have a nice washer and dryer Lots of wildlife including roosters, frogs, birds A large and lush property to explore, walk around and enjoy. Very relaxing and peaceful. The infinity hot tub takes some extra steps to warm up and take care of but being up at the top of hill overlooking coastline in a non chlorine hot tub was exquisite

Wow. What a spectacular place. A true eco-jungle-lodge-type experience. The location, the home, the host's communication and aloha spirit - everything was fantastic. Highly recommend 4WD / AWD car for the driveway, although we made it work with a sedan (kind of comical, actually). We are an adventurous family of four adults (2 grown kids) that likes experiences and lodging that would be the opposite of a cruise ship or resort. This place was perfect for us. We will be back!

Private Pool - 180° Ocean View - Minutes to Beach

MelanieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful 7 day stay. Our 3 boys (16, 13, and 10) spent hours on the diving board and in the pool. Sandra’s place had everything we needed for beach trips, including beach chairs, wagon, umbrella, cooler and beach towels. I was so happy to have a washing machine to wash out the sandy towels and suits after our beach trips. It was a 5-10 minute trip for Costco,-target and Walmart and a 30-40 minute trip to Hāpuna Beach (don’t miss the Malsada stand on the highway on your way). We would come back to the house to cook supper, swim more in the pool, and watch the sunset from the beautiful yard. We also got a lot of use out of the basketball net in the driveway, and volleyball net in the side yard. Sandra was extremely helpful with all aspects of our stay, including local recommendations. Would definitely stay again if on the Big Island!

Big Family Home, Pool, Views, Yard, Lanai, Clean!

BrianRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The house, which is very spacious, is located in a quiet residential neighborhood (the only real noise is from the many birds), which is five minutes from a grocery store and some restaurants in Waikoloa Village, and there are many restaurants, beaches, and things to do within a 30-minute drive; downtown Kailua-Kona is 45 minutes, and Volcanoes National Park and Hilo are about two hours (but easy driving everywhere, except for typical urban traffic congestion in Kona). The landscaping is amazing, and the backyard with a swimming pool is extremely private. It is also west-facing, so you get gorgeous sunsets with a slight ocean view (the property is inland). The AC units (for which there is an extra charge) are only in the bedrooms, so the house gets stuffy during the day, but cools off quickly in the evening. We had one minor maintenance issue, but the host, Andy, was responsive and addressed it quickly. We would definitely return if we have a future trip to the Big Island.

Paradise MicroLoft

MarcosRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Dayna and Irma were the kindest and the BEST Airbnb hosts I’ve ever had. Before we arrived they provided tons of great recommendations for activities, beaches, and restaurants. We would have never known that you could snorkel with manta rays in Kona (arguably the best activity we did in Hawaii) if they had not provide that recommendation. Their Paradise Microloft was so beautiful and my wife and I really admired how organized and functional everything was. Dayna and Irma also provided all the gear we needed for a wonderful beach day and even left us some goodies to eat/drink. I’m so happy we stayed at this Airbnb. If you’re thinking about booking a hotel in Waikoloa—don’t. This place beats a hotel in so many ways. Only tiny note of caution for guests is to watch your head when going into bedroom (and go lower than you think is needed)!

We had an amazing stay at Allyson’s condo on the Big Island! The apartment was spotless, beautifully organized, and so thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed – it truly felt like a home away from home for the week. From the kitchen supplies to the beach gear, every detail was carefully considered and made our holiday so much more comfortable and relaxing. The location was perfect for exploring the island, and we loved having such a peaceful, welcoming space to return to at the end of each day. Allyson was a fantastic host - so kind, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the Big Island - thank you for making our trip so special! The best Airbnb we have ever stayed at.

Romantic Private Village Cottage

EvaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The romantic cottage was very quaint. I enjoyed my time there. I guess the only thing I missed was a place outside to sit in the sun, and I’m not one to haul things to a beach. I think if I had had more free time, I may have gone to the beach. I was there for a class reunion up in Waimea (HPA), so timing for a beach trip was limited. It was in a good place for me to walk. I walk 5 miles every morning, and this was a great place to do that. On a good note, my brother rented another “comparable” Airbnb, and we both agreed that your place was BY FAR the better of the two. I would stay here again

Waikoloa Treehouse 3 bed 2 bath

ElizabethRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a spectacular stay. The home is located near the best beaches on the big island as well as resorts if you want to grab a day pass. It’s located equally between Kona and Hilo with easy access to the north of the island. The home is stocked with everything you would need for an island vacation, with access to grocery stores and restaurants within five minutes. The longest trip was to the volcano, but we did it easily in a day trip. Jeff was very responsive and his listing is full of recommendations. I truly cannot recommend this home enough. If I could build a replica where I live, I would. It’s truly an oasis. My kids and I absolutely loved it. Jeff really thought of everything in the home that you would need. As a bonus, the internet was perfect for movies after a long day of adventures. There’s a beautiful sunset view from the deck and master, as well as a water fountain that is the best way to start and end the day. 100/10 stay!

Your guide to Waikoloa Village

All About Waikoloa Village

On the west coast of Hawaii’s Big Island overlooking Waiulua Bay sits Waikoloa Village, a resort town located on an ancient lava field. The days here are sunny with very little rainfall, making it easy to take advantage of the overabundance of local activities. In addition to deep-sea fishing, volcano explorations, and world-class golfing, you can also hike through ancient petroglyph fields and historic temples.

Waikoloa Village also sits next to Route 19, one of the two main roads that create a big loop around the island. While there is plenty to do around Waikoloa Village, its proximity to the highway makes it a perfect jumping-off point to the nearby bays and beaches, like 49 Black Sand Beach, which resulted from a 19th-century lava flow. Alternatively, head off further and discover the many towns and natural attractions of the Big Island.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Waikoloa Village

Waikoloa Village remains warm and humid almost year-round, without much variation between seasons. The dry season from late May to early October is relatively hot and humid. The rainy season is the rest of the year, still warm but with more precipitation. Vacation rentals in Waikoloa Village are popular in winter as well as in summer, when families can take longer holidays.

The shoulder seasons are a great time to visit Waikoloa Village and offer all the same outdoor perks, plus cultural events like a ukulele festival in March. The festival celebrates one of the most beloved instruments in Hawaii, complete with ukulele giveaways and ukulele tutorials in addition to live performances. December to April is whale season, so you may catch sight of a humpback whale while lounging on the beach.

Top things to do in Waikoloa Village

Kona Cloud Sanctuary

Just south of Waikoloa Village, tour the Kona Cloud Sanctuary, a preserve dedicated to protecting and inspiring appreciation of the natural ecosystem. On a tour, you can discover native flora like the ancient Koa, Ohia, more than 100 varieties of bamboo, and 30-foot high fern trees. You can also learn about native birds like the Hawaiian hawk and the honeycreeper.

Genesis Galleries

Discover some of the best artwork Hawaii has to offer at the family-owned Genesis Galleries located in both King’s Shops and Queen’s Marketplace. The gallery contains all kinds of local artwork from glass, bronze, and wooden pieces and painted surfboards to original oils from international and local artists.

Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park

One of the best ways to discover the volcanoes of the Big Island is by visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, a designated UNESCO World Heritage site, about two hours from Waikoloa Village.
