Beachfront vacation rentals in Kadakkarappally

Beautiful property. The beach is very close to the property and you can really enjoy a private time there with your family. Shamil was really helpful and responsive. He arranged an early checkin for us and was throughout very responsive to all the queries. The caretaker Varghese was very sweet and helpful and arranged whatever we needed during the stay. The nearby restaurants also delivers to the location and Swiggy was also available. Would recommend this if you need to live by beach side and want to have a peaceful time.

Jerin was an excellent host and was helpful throughout our stay. We were provided with 2 bedrooms with attached bathooms. He provided good food and helped us with local transport to station and back. The rooms were basic but comfortable. There was no washing machine but a person was there to help hand wash the clothes. Bathrooms could have had better fittings but one cannot complain as the proximity to the beach meant any fitting would rust due to the salty sea air. The house is a 2 minute walk from the beach. The beach itself was spectacular, with hardly any debris. The waters were calm and clean. If you go in the early morning you can see the fishermen bring in their catch. We had a lovely trip and must once again thank Jerin for his hospitality.

Truly an authentic Kerala jungle/beach experience - with all that goes with such authenticity. Our party was warmly welcomed and generously cared for during the week we stayed with Abi and Minnie. We particularly enjoyed the food, lazing in the hammocks and sorties to Marari Beach.

The place was super nice, right next to the ocean. Great facilities. Both Diphna and her mom were amazing hosts, always asked if we needed something, prepared amazing breakfast and also booked us a autorickshaw on our way out. They also provided 1 hour extra stay at the house as our train was a bit later. Overall highly recommended. Very warm hosts, and very nice place to relax and unwind

Everything went fine and the place was worth to stay, but need some improvements in keeping essentials like a little fridge, microwave and drinking water facilities. One more thing to add is mosquito repellents like All-out or mortein in rooms as well. Overall i recommend this place.

Melvin is an excellent host. He and his family are kind, attentive and lovely to be around. His place is great, exactly as you see in the photos, very clean, simple and comfortable- all you need! The balcony and dining area are great places to watch the sunset. Arthunkal beach comes alive in the evening when local youth play football, fishing boats line the shore and people gather to watch the sunset. The home cooked food was excellent, and Melvin and his wife were very helpful in providing meals that adhered to my dietary requirements (I had just finished 1 month of Ayurvedic treatment and was following dietary advice). Melvin was very helpful in providing local information. He introduced me to other travellers so that we could team up for a houseboat trip. He also personally took me to Marari beach on his bike as I am travelling solo, introduced me to friends of his there who could cook me lunch, and gave me access to a guest house with a bathroom as there are no public toilets on the beach. Excellent hospitality and kindness. Please note that both Arthunkal inparticular, and Marari beach, have quite a lot of rubbish. There were recent festivities on Arthunkal and I believe that in due course a clean up will be organised. As an Australian I'm a bit spoilt for beaches but I was disappointed by all the garbage and think travellers should be prepared for this. I also experienced upsetting harassment at Marari beach, which Melvins friend was very supportive and helpful with, but I would not recommend being solo female traveller here as you may get targeted and revieve a lot of unwanted attention (fully clothed, not even in a swimsuit!) and harassment. The water is beautiful and warm. The palm trees are lovely. There may be stretches of the beach less polluted but I didn't venture too far alone. Neither of these factors reflect on Melvin and the outstanding hospitality provided by him and his family. More of an FYI for travellers, particularly solo women. If you are looking for a place in Arthunkal beach I highly recommend Melvin and the homestay experience provided by him and his family.

Superb place

The villa was as described. very peaceful neighbourhood, beach view, calm surroundings, walkable distance to the beach (clean). Mr. Babu the caretaker was v helpful, and friendly. Came to the main road to show us the way, also brought us breakfast, made coffee/tea and served us. The only drawbook coud be the lack of restaurants near by, gotta travel a bit. however, if you let Mr. Babu know,, he'll get us the food we wanted

Wonderful location, had a memorable & cozy vacation. Served our purpose of just chilling & relaxed time off with no agenda :) Anisha and Sony are great host and their services offered always have a personal touch :) Will visit again, loved meeting Friday too :*

Nice peaceful stay

Beautiful 1950’s villa with a team of house staff led by Mr Cherian, who took care of everything including delivering amazing food from the sister hotel Eighth Bastion. Sumptuous breakfasts were provided at the hotel, or we could make our own with the provisions supplied (even our fussy 6 year old enjoyed the cornflakes and banana cake). Had a wonderful staycation, with daily music lessons at the Kerala Kathakali centre.

Unsere Villa hatte Meerblick, die meisten anderen sehen nur auf den Pool. Beim Bezahlen gab es wegen des Frühstücks Irritationen. Letztendlich mussten wir es nicht extra bezahlen, aber die Beschreibung von airbnb ist unklar formuliert. Das Essen im Restaurant ist relativ teuer und wird bei der Endabrechnung noch zusätzlich besteuert. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne ruhige Woche, es gab immer eine freie Liege oder Hängematte und wir konnten den Fischern beim Netze flicken zusehen. Das Frühstück war bombastisch mit pancake, Omelette, Früchten, Fruchtsäften, etc. Man hätte auch indisch frühstücken können. Das nächste Restaurant ist ca. 20 Minuten Strandweg Richtung Norden entfernt und auf alle Fälle einen Besuch wert.

Even though I stayed here for just one day, the experience exceeded all my expectations! The room was impeccably clean, and the view from the balcony was absolutely stunning. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the essentials, making everything very convenient. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the stay feel more like being at home than just a visit. I would definitely love to stay here again highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time at Jesudas's place.He was extremely hospitable and was very flexible with the check in check out time. He gave a lot of local recommendations and helped us plan our itinerary. Mummy who stayed downstairs was warm and welcoming. Gave us a great cup of coffee and we had some great conversation with her. Such a sweet lady! Definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a cozy place near the Azhapuzha beach

We really enjoyed our stay with Dominic. We had some initial difficulties at the beginning but were able to sort them out quickly and were very satisfied in the end. The location is perfect and really only a jump away from the beach. Dominic is a relaxed and nice guy who recommended a few local things and organised a kayak tour during sunrise.

A great Kerala heritage place to stay at. Walkable distance from Maratikulam beach. Host made sure that we have a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend it to all :)

The stay was very beautiful. We were overwhelmed by the whole experience. The rooms and the stay was very well cleaned and made. The stay was right in front of the beach. The host Mohammed was a real gem. The most cooperative, cool and considerate host we have ever met till now. He arranged a boatride for us, made sure we got the best and fresh banana chips and many more. For all our concerns, he was the solution. He made our experience here memorable. Would totally recommend this stay.

A really good stay if you're looking for something peaceful near Marari Beach. The place is surrounded by greenery, with neat and comfortable rooms. We were served breakfast and tea, which added a lovely homely touch. It's maintained by the host's parents, who were warm and welcoming. Just a heads-up, reaching the property was a bit tricky as the tuk-tuk couldn’t drive through the sandy path, so we had to carry our luggage a short distance. Overall, a calm and cozy stay amidst nature and perfect for a laid-back beach getaway.

Our stay at Sudheer’s place was absolutely fantastic! The accommodation was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. Sudheer was a wonderful host—very responsive, helpful, and made sure we had a comfortable experience. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore the area.
