From the moment we arrived, it felt like a peaceful retreat—surrounded by beautiful views and the kind of quiet that instantly helps you unwind. Christie and Donaven have thought of everything. The house was fully stocked with all the essentials (and then some). From extra phone charging cables to those little items you might forget to pack, it was clear they’ve put a lot of care and attention into making guests feel at home. We spent our days out on the lake kayaking, soaking up the calm and beauty of the surroundings, and our evenings enjoying quality time together around the fire. It was the perfect mix of fun and relaxation. Skipping Stones Getaway is the kind of place you want to return to. Highly recommend for anyone looking to slow down, recharge, and make lasting memories in a truly lovely setting.

Absolutely perfect stay! The home is so private and peaceful. And so impeccably clean! You can tell the home is well loved. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in, the master bed was super comfortable and we all enjoyed relaxing on the cozy living room set overlooking the breathtaking view. James is truly a SUPER host: incredibly kind, flexible, helpful, informative, and quick to respond! We could not be more pleased with our family stay at James’ house. Book this place if you are looking to relax in blissful solitude, you will not be disappointed!

My friend and I visited West Jefferson to attend a 3-day art workshop at the Florence Thomas School of Art. The Uptown Loft was conveniently located near the school and the it was delightful to be right in the downtown area to explore the city and find good dining experiences. The Loft itself was true to how it was described and well stocked with amenities. Very clean and well furnished. We would definitely consider staying again if we re-visit West Jefferson. Thanks Ken.

Simply one of the nicest airbnbs I’ve ever stayed! This condo was gorgeously newly renovated as of summer 2025 and was fully equipped with everything you might need. The place was expertly designed to feel like the perfect combo of cozy and modern and was left clean and organized. Location is perfect for Beech Mountain access (less than 2 minute drive, but wouldn’t recommend walking due to the busy road with narrow shoulders that beech mountain is on). Would love to come back and visit soon!

Our stay was perfect! Roxana answered all of my questions any time I had any. The pool and hot tub were both open and really nice. The place was clean and just enough space! We didn’t really need/use the kitchen but it had everything you would need. Place was clean and cozy. Kinda scary getting to it up the mountain with all the turns (from someone who lives at the beach) but nothing you can’t handle! Will book this place again!

Kelly’s place was wonderful! It is the most well stocked air bnb I’ve ever stayed in. The beds were all very comfortable and the space was great for 6 of us. The coffee shop next door is great and all of downtown Jefferson is walkable. We were in town with our 4 kids and were able to enjoy the library and large park right up the street. Kelly contacted us about an issue before we even noticed it. She was wonderful. We will stay here again when in town!
