We just returned from a wonderful weeklong visit! This is a true home away from home. Clean, cozy, private and inviting from the minute you open the door. We went kayaking, enjoyed waterfalls and nice restaurants and visited with family and friends. Every day we fed the sweet little animals and it was hard to say goodbye to them. Our week went way too fast! The host has a heart of gold šŸ’› Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Private Escape at Whitetail Ridge

RobinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The home is totally private with vistas of only trees and fields. The home was in immaculate condition with well thought out amenities to make our stay perfect. A well placed spice rack was in the kitchen with all the common items stocked along with additional basics in the cabinets such as foils etc plus condiments and creamer in the refrigerator. A covered porch swing, large enough to hold two people lying down, was a nice touch. (Sheets were provided in the garage storage) We enjoyed the hot tub at all hours but recommend you bring a tent canopy for shade that is needed from about noon till 5pm. We brought our 10x10 tent canopy that allowed us to be in the tub anytime of day without sunburn worries. We saw lots of wildlife in both the front and back yards and recommend you bring a good pair of binoculars to supplement the spot telescope that was provided by our host. We saw deer and wild turkeys that were regularly roaming about, a raccoon and a glimpse of a fox passing through.

Elegant Entertainment Home The SPOT + HOT TUB

JanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
"The Spot" was perfect for our stay. The surroundings were so beautiful and peaceful. Upon arrival, my daughter spotted a deer nestled down in the wooded area just a few feet from the driveway. If you love nature, like I do, then you would definitely enjoy this location. The house was clean, nicely decorated, and stocked very well. The host...Khaled & Doreen, are awesome. They were very accommodating for our needs, and always quick to respond anytime I had a question. If you're looking for a nice "spot", this is it, in my opinion.

Handsculpted Nature Inspired Enchanting HorizonsĀ®

SarahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was by far the best trip we’ve ever had. The house was absolutely breathtaking—every corner was filled with thoughtful details that showed how much love and care went into creating it. It truly felt like a work of art. The hosts even left a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us, which made our celebration even more special! Our days were filled with unforgettable experiences, from exploring The Lost Sea and the Hunter Museum to horseback riding and taking in the majestic beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains. Plenty of antique shops to explore and every restaurant we visited served the most delicious food, making every meal a treat. Each night, we returned to what felt like a dream home and woke up to the most stunning views of the mountains and the town below. We couldn’t have asked for a more magical and memorable getaway. Everything was PERFECT!

Joe and Karly were so kind and their cabin was everything we were looking for to celebrate our honeymoon. The location was private and serene. The cabin was clean and cozy with everything you could need! Joe and Karly let us know ahead of time about an unscheduled maintenance check happening to the cabin. They made sure we were taken care of and knew what was going on. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone! It was beautiful and had breathtaking views! We miss it already!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect! The views were incredible, so peaceful and serene. The sunsets were breathtaking! My mom grew up on a farm so we loved the goats, chickens and roosters next door, reminded me of my grandparents place! We had some questions early on and Travis got right back to us immediately when I messaged him! We went to Rock City Gardens, Foster Falls, Fiery Gizzard trail, Fall Creek Falls and Greeter Falls. Such a blessed time!

Nocturnal Nest! Scenic Moody Mountain Escape!

ZachRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is possible the best spot in Sevierville for a get away. Beautiful mountain view, quiet neighborhood, and hosts sterilized everything prior to stay. Host had all listed amenities and even provided movie snacks! Hot tub is clean and operable. Overall very happy with this stay, only be warned that the road to the location can be tricky and give your heart a jumpstart if you aren’t very focused! If going during the winter you will need four wheel drive or chains for tires. That small issue is trumped by this amazing home though.

We really enjoyed our stay at the TreEscape. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the quiet, peaceful, beautiful location was perfect. We especially enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings when the air was cooler. The one evening it was cold and rainy, so the hot tub felt exceptional! The loft where the bed is was super neat with windows on the roof that the sun can shine in in the mornings. Would definitely recommend.

Romantic Treehouse w/ Sauna, HotTub, & Pickleball!

MadisonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Jake is an awesome host. He was in contact a few days before our reservation with local recommendations and all the details we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the intimacy of the treehouse. It’s far enough away from the other cabins that we felt like we had the woods all to ourselves. All of the quirky elements of this house fit together perfectly, and it was clear that a great amount of thought and care were put into its creation. As locals, we loved reading about how parts of the treehouse were repurposed from our historic town. There were plenty of activities provided in and around the treehouse, but our favorite part was relaxing and enjoying the sound of the rain on the trees.

Your guide to Tennessee

All About Tennessee

Tied for the state with the most borders (eight, with Missouri), Tennessee touches on a little bit of everything: history, culture, nature. One of the more northern of the southern states, it’s known for dry-rub barbecue, being the birthplace of country music, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park with its glorious 522,427 acres of old-growth forests, mountain peaks, and waterfalls. Tennessee’s two largest cities, Memphis and Nashville, draw visitors from around the globe looking to light it up at their honky tonks, restaurants, and music halls. While on the quiet banks of the Tennessee River Chattanooga is awash in greenspaces, art museums, and jaw-drop views from atop Lookout Mountain.

If you crave a dose of throwback charm to go with your national park gateway town, Gatlinburg has campy throwback attractions like pancake houses, wax museums, and moonshine distilleries all within close proximity of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Tennessee

In spring, the irises bloom, days are warm, and the humidity is low, but you’ll encounter more rain than you might expect, so come prepared with an umbrella. During late April, you can see the pastel blooms of the dogwood trees at Knoxville’s Dogwood Arts Fair. Summer is the peak season for vacation rentals in Tennessee as days are long and hot, city patios are open, and the region's biggest music festivals take place. Summer thunderstorms are common in the evenings and bring refreshing cool breezes. The brief fall is one of the most enjoyable times in Tennessee, when the weather cools off and foliage lures visitors to the mountains. Winter is the off-season; you’ll want plenty of layers for the cold, although snow is rare in all of the major cities.

Top things to do in Tennessee

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is America’s most visited national park, welcoming more than 10 million visitors each year. These mountain peaks formed hundreds of millions of years ago, and they’re now filled with more than 100 different species of trees, about two black bears per square mile, white-tailed deer, salamanders, and more than 200 varieties of birds. The park has paved roads for auto touring, hiking trails that reach popular destinations like Rainbow Falls and Andrews Bald, and 2,900 miles of streams that you can fish with a license.

Music museums

Tennessee has been the epicenter of many musical genres, including blues, rock ā€˜n’ roll, bluegrass, and modern country. Head to Memphis for the blues of Beale Street, Stax Museum of American Soul Music, the rock ā€˜n’ roll mecca of Sun Studios and the mother of them all, Elvis’ Graceland. In Nashville, you’ll find the Country Music Hall of Fame, the African American Music Museum, the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum, and an overwhelming amount of live music every night.

Nashville

Tennessee’s capital has been revitalized in recent years thanks to an influx of young creatives, and while it’s known for country music landmarks like Broadway’s honky tonks and Music Row’s recording studios, Nashville also has award-winning upscale restaurants, record stores, professional hockey and football teams, community-focused festivals like August’s Tomato Art Fest, a thriving cafe culture, niche museums, and laid-back nightlife in East Nashville.
