Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Johnson County

We really enjoyed our stay and wish we had more time to take in all the beauty and serenity the place has to offer. The home was clean, it fit our crew of 4 comfortably and had everything we could have needed. It looks like a newer home or remodeled and felt very nice and accommodating. There were even kayaks available, a blackstone grill, several TV apps which came in handy for cartoons for my youngest (and husband) and the lake is steps away. There’s a cute restaurant and general store that sells homemade and other goods about a 5 minute drive down the hill which we visited a few times. Great place and great location. I’d love to come back in the summer next time!!

Yvonne’s farmhouse is absolutely amazing! Exactly as described and was surrounded by beauty! It took me back in time when I grew up in Boone. Beds were very comfortable, couches and chairs were amazing, as well! Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed! The farm fresh eggs, juice and milk (along with all the goodies on the bar) was such a sweet and thoughtful touch to this already amazing home! We had such a wonderful time here! Thank you so much for being an absolute amazing host!! 10 plus stars! ⭐️✨ ✨ 💜🤍

Perfect stay for our family! Incredibly clean, beautiful decor. The hosts have paid close attention to detail and this house had everything we needed and more! We enjoyed the fenced in yard and fire pit. The sound machines in each bedroom were a great touch, and all the beds slept great! This is truly one of the nicest airbnbs I have ever stayed in. The hosts are so friendly and respond quickly. I would recommend this place to anyone and we will definitely be back!

Paul was so quick to respond to any questions I had. He was also very friendly and helpful. Heavens Gate, WOW, the name says it all. The cabin is so beautiful and very well decorated. When you first walk in, you're on the second floor. There's large sliding doors that lead outside to the deck that has the most amazing views of the lake. It is truly breathtaking! They have a very well equipped kitchen. It has a regular pot & a K-cup maker which came in handy. There are games, tv, great wifi and an awesome hot tub! The hot tub was hot and clean. We quickly unpacked, made a mimosa and jumped right in. That view, also amazing! The Wifi worked outside to play tunes while we soaked in the tub & amazing views. The road was scary for this FL girl, but you do get use to it. Also deer walked around the house and we saw an eagle. The beds were super cozy and there were plenty of dressers to unpack. The master shower was so nice. I can go on and on... just book it, you will not regret it!

My husband and I stayed for a month at the house and absolutely loved it. It was peaceful and beautiful with the music of a rushing streamf filling the house everyday when we opened up the French doors. It was refreshing to see that the house actually matched all of the photos and the amenities that were listed. It was great to have a grocery store and a restaurant within 15 minutes of the house. we loved it so much. we're going to come back again next year.

It is very cozy for a short stay. It is about 14 minutes to Grandfather Mountain. Great communicating with Amy prior arrival, she greeted us at the entrance.

Highly enjoyed my mountain stay! The view was spectacular, the driveway was bit rockery than anticipated but my Toyota Camry made it up fine! It was very clean and cozy! The hosts did an amazing job at communicating and accommodating our stay. The guest book was adorable and full of fun recommendations of activities to do. I really loved it here, will happily visit this same property on my next stay!! worth the money and the view!! Thanks again!!

Warren has a lovely home in the mountains. The property was very quiet and surrounded by nature. I especially loved sitting outside at night watching the fireflies, the stars and smelling the sweet scent of nearby flowers. The bed was comfortable and the unit had everything needed to make meals.

The Blue Mountain Apartment was absolutely perfect for my weekend at App State graduation! The apartment was extremely clean, organized, nicely decorated and stocked with everything I needed. I would highly recommend staying here if you want somewhere comfortable with a beautiful view for a peaceful getaway.

What to write in such a small space! Kevin and Susie are precious folks. We got in late on our first night and Kevin helped carry our things upstairs. And chatted with us for a bit. Susie had made some AMAZING cookies for us. We loved the space of the apartment. It was clean, cozy and just as the pictures portrayed. The bed was so comfortable!!! We will definitely be staying here again. Roan Mountain is our me favorite place and Kevin and Susie have the best place to enjoy it! Thanks for having us ♥️

You will be happy with your choice to stay at Campside Cottage! Mariann keeps the place sparkling clean and really pays attention to all the details! She was kind enough to allow us to check in early for our anniversary getaway. There is plenty to do at the lake and the restaurants in the area looked like good choices, even though we ran out of time to try them. The vibe at the cottage is peaceful and inviting, and I highly recommend it!

Brent was a great host with helpful check-in instructions. He made sure I had everything I needed. I hope to stay again in the future.

Very pretty yard that is fully enclosed (front & back) which is great for bringing a dog. Our dog was quite happy we picked this home because he had other pups to visit with. The outside is very inviting, even though it rained a bit. They have areas that are covered, which are great for this. The inside is clean and neat. The bed was really comfortable and our son thoroughly enjoyed the air mattress. At the right time of year, the fireplace would be amazing. The location is great because it’s close enough to town to be convenient, and right by the Blue Ridge Parkway for hiking.

My mom, sister, and I stayed here for my daughter’s graduation from ASU and this place was an amazing deal for the price! A giant TV in the living room AND bedroom, relaxing hot tub (define highlight after walking all day!), coffee bar, and even washer/dryer! All the wildflowers around d were so pretty, too! I highly suggest grabbing this place up before it’s taken!

When I arrived at the Airbnb, it was easy to find and locate. The door code was correct and when I went inside and unpacked my belongings, everything was exactly as promised. The bathrooms were pristine. And the Airbnb itself was immaculate. All the amenities promised were there and the scenery was amazing. This was an ideal location for my trip. I was on an annual motorcycle trip, which I typically take to the mountains of Tennessee, West Virginia and Kentucky. Once I got into the Airbnb and got settled, I went outside to move my motorcycle and my motorcycle would not start. That being said, my host was beyond understandable. He was helpful. Extremely helpful actually, without his help I don’t know if I would’ve been able to get my situation resolved. He is a standup guy, honest, friendly, and everything you would want from a host. I ended up having to cut my trip short. Due to my mechanical issues. But I would highly recommend this Airbnb and I for one will certainly be going back-

This was by far the most beautiful place we have ever been too. The views are of epic proportions the cabin was clean and comfortable. We didnt want to leave. If you are looking for a peaceful quiet getaway there is none better. The location is a good distance from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg or pigeon forge but thats what we were looking for, for our honeymoon. Suba's is excellent dining if looking for a wonderful meal.

Our time spent in this lovely home was perfect and peaceful! Everything was as described and the pictures just don’t do it justice! It was, without a doubt, the cleanest property we have ever stayed in! Communication was easy and quick. Take time to walk around the property and on the nearby trails as outlined by the host, they were just so beautiful and enjoyable. Plan plenty of time for porch sitting, it was just the best! I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful property. It’s good for the soul!

We have rented homes on Watauga 15+ times and this so far has been our favorite. It’s very obvious how well the home and outside is cared for. The patio, furniture, and dock are all so clean. I have found that a lot of places lack that part. It was so nice to be able to paddleboard and kayak without paying extra. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. I highly recommend this house and plan to return for future visits if it’s available!

We had a fun weekend of hiking and brewery hopping and enjoyed coming back to the cabin each night! This is a small, rustic cabin, in a secluded and private location. The cabin has all of the amenities you could want, including a cook top for making breakfast and a washer/dryer for refreshing those gross hiking clothes. The only improvement that would be a game changer would be a bit more attention paid to the grounds and the walkway down to the fire pit. At night it's pretty much impossible to see without using a lantern, which we unfortunately didn't bring, and the pathway itself could use some weed-eating and maintenance. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would return!

If you’re looking for a private cabin getaway close to amenities, this is it. We loved that every bedroom had a full bath attached. The space was clean and cozy. The hot tub was clean and hot. The outdoor space was very conducive to our dogs running around off leash, would definitely stay here again!

Great little get away for you and your animals. Has great views and loved the setup of the home. It was peaceful and definitely would book again!
