A great place to stay for a long weekend in the Charleston area for a friends wedding. Place was clean and spacious. Would recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the River Road Retreat! The space was lovely, clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed. The location was perfect—just a short drive to great restaurants and the beach. We especially appreciated the beach towels and chairs provided in the guest closet, which made for a relaxing afternoon at Sullivan’s Island. While it was too chilly to take a dip in the pool, we enjoyed a peaceful walk through the charming neighborhood behind the home. Although we didn’t get a chance to meet the host family, their hospitality was clear throughout our stay. Highly recommend this retreat!

My husband and I spent nearly a month in this gorgeous retreat, surrounded by nature. It was very peaceful and relaxing and the house looked and felt as beautiful as the pictures. Clara was very helpful and responsive, and the house was well-stocked. We had everything that we needed and felt right at home. We look forward to returning if we come back to the area.
