Kominka in Miyajima that warms the heart

Guest House Kokoro is located one block from Miyajima's Machiya-dori Street. 　When you pass through the warm curtain at the entrance, you are guided to the courtyard by stepping stones, with bamboo walls reminiscent of a Kyoto row house restaurant. The courtyard is also beautifully balanced with white marble and gravel, contributing to the calm atmosphere. There are glass doors in the living room that allow you to see the courtyard. 　The building is only for guests to stay in through the garden, so there is no need to worry about anyone. From the outside, it is an ordinary private house, but when you step inside, it has a different atmosphere, which is part of the charm of the inn. I heard that the previous owner has always loved gardening and had a wide range of hobbies. However, as I mentioned at the beginning, I didn't intend to start an inn at first, so there is no bath facility (there is a shower). However, you can use the nearby inns as an outdoor bath. The first floor is a living room, and the second floor is a two-room Japanese-style bedroom, and up to 6 people can stay comfortably. 　In the courtyard, there is a white stone character "kokoro" (heart) inscribed in the gravel. It was made by the gardener a long time ago for fun, and it is the origin of the name of the inn. He said he wants to welcome people with all his heart and help them relax and enjoy their stay.

Nishimura-tei Hanare - 100-year-old old house with a kitchen & dining room

Nishimura Residence is an old-fashioned Nara-machiya that has been standing on a piece of Nara-machi for more than 100 years. I was a “grandmother” for a long time when I was a child. In Nara Town, there is a pleasant despicable feeling that never changes. "I want to be filled with this pleasant contempt even for future generations." With that in mind, I took care of the empty Nishimura Residence. - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

Wakuku, a detached house on a hill in Owarano, Yao-cho, Toyama Prefecture. Meals available (extra charge).

"Yoko's Inn Wakuwaku" is a "separate" inn adjacent to the creative home cooking restaurant "Wakuwaku", limited to one group per day. There is a private entrance. The first floor is a living space with a dining table, and the second floor is a bedroom. From the window, you can see the vast rural landscape and the Northern Alps Tateyama mountain range in the distance. Guests can optionally have breakfast, dinner, etc. (breakfast 1,000 yen, dinner from 2,000 yen. Please ask).
