Attracted by the nice interior and atmosphere, we decided to stay in the masonry house. When I arrived, the owner greeted me warmly and received a polite explanation.The kitchen facilities, cooking utensils, and basic condiments were also well-stocked. I was happy that I was able to grind the beans and have coffee, and there was a full range of tea. I rented a BBQ set (paid option) for dinner and had a BBQ.The vegetables and meat grilled on charcoal fire were very delicious and cold, but we also prepared a stove for our feet and were very satisfied until the end. The house itself was built of stone, as well as facilities that were not normally found in life such as a wood stove and ladder. It was a one-night stay, but it was a very fulfilling stay.The hospitality of the owner and his wife is also great, and we'd love to stay again.

Keiko-san and Tushi Hisa-san are like the Japanese mother and father I never had. They are kind, generous, and took care of me during my stay. Keiko-san cooked the most amazing, authentic, and filling meals. Tushi Hisa-san harvested taro, which was part of the dinner one night. He regularly stoked the fire, so the living area was nice a cozy, even though the outdoors were cold. They even drew me baths every evening. I had a great time walking around the countryside, watching life move at a slow pace, and relaxed. I highly recommend for those seeking to find calm and peace.

Chion’s House is one of the most special places we’ve experienced. The story behind the house, the special attention to detail and beautiful surroundings. You can walk around the main street which is only 5 minutes away and has many restaurants and shops to explore. But you might not want to leave the house as you want to immerse yourself in the special energy it has! We hope to return one day.

I had a relaxing stay for three nights and four days.I didn't have a car, but the spring garden was so colorful and beautiful that I didn't get tired of it all day, and I didn't feel bored at all because I could use the study freely.Both the garden and the building were full of surprises in a space full of art. There is a local hot spring nearby, and Yu drove me there in a light vehicle.It has a rustic local feel and is highly recommended.You can enter for 500 yen, and you can see the distant mountains from the open-air bath. The main characters, Yu and Megumi, were people who could feel the beauty of a space like a forest of reading.From the fun conversations at the dining table, everyone should be inspired and empowered by your way of life. It was a natural environment, so my heart stopped every time I saw a bug, but it was still a nice place I'd like to visit again.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay! We were so grateful for Toshi and Hiromi’s gracious hospitality, from picking us up at the train station to helpful suggestions for hiking trails nearby, places to explore and eat, and enjoy all Nagano has to offer. Their place is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of so much to do. We only wish we had planned to stay longer. We will definitely stay with Hiromi and Toshi on our next visit to Nagano.
