Monthly Rentals in James River

Victor, Texas My wife and I, stayed 5 nights at this nice little house. Dale was friendly and helpful. She provided my wife a pajamas because for the first night our baggage didn't arrive at the airport. Also, she gave me information to find a good restaurant and store to buy our groceries. I highly recommend this place to enjoy a good vacation. It's surrounded by the beauty of nature. You can really live a romantic experience.

Kingdom’s place was amazing, spacious and comfortable. My family and I went down to visit our son in Petersburg and the house was in a nice location - very peaceful with huge backyard. There was plenty of space to lounge and the game room was a big hit! The bedrooms were large and beautifully decorated. Kingdom was so gracious and included so many thoughtful small touches to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely stay at Kingdom’s place again!

Glasgow House was an amazing place for my wife and I to stay as we waited to close on a house in nearby Lexington. The rented area is spacious and peaceful. We enjoyed the beautiful art on the walls and made good use of the kitchen, which had everything we needed. The back patio was a joy. We spent many mornings watching the spectacular sunrises over the hills and almost as many evenings under a dark sky stargazing and listening for the howls of cayotes and the hoots of owls. Elise and Eric were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. We often enjoyed walking around their property and along the gravel road, which leads to it and runs alongside the clear waters of the South River. The most memorable moments of our stay involved the numerous animals that share the property. The deer (including many fawns), woodchucks, rabbits, and turkeys were plentiful, and we also saw several bald eagles. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to spend some time in such a wonderful place.

If I could give a separate host rating, I would give Mary Ann 10 stars. I couldn’t have felt more welcome, and I even got a full tour of the city. I am a remote worker, so having a dedicated office is such a luxury. I was able to relax on the weekends without thinking about work. This is a great place, especially for an extended stay. It’s comfortable, in a great neighborhood, and I have paid twice the price for places nowhere near as nice. It was exactly the escape I needed after the holidays, and I would not hesitate to book again.
