Townhome vacation rentals in James River

Great roomy home just a short walk to the bay. A big kitchen table for meals and family games. We loved this gem!

We booked Vacation Village 4br timeshare through Andy but it was full. Andy was able to leverage his connections and find us a 3br HOUSE at Kings Creek Plantation through Spinnaker which was better, I think! We had a full 3br/4bath house to ourselves with three porches in a peaceful setting. Absolutely recommend Kings Creek Plantation through Andy. Close to everything and amazing setting. So quiet and pencil. We will be back!

We had a fantastic stay at Sylvia’s Airbnb! The space was much more spacious than the pictures suggested, and it had such a cozy atmosphere. The kitchen was well-equipped and perfect for cooking meals, and we really appreciated having laundry and a hot tub—both great bonuses after long days on the slopes. The location was super convenient, making it easy to get to Snowshoe. The only downside was that essential supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags were limited. While Sylvia wasn’t able to restock them during our stay, she did reimburse us for what we purchased, which we appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience and would love to book again next winter!

The pictures and the description of the place are exactly what you’ll find at Tony and Paulette‘s townhouse. The place is super close to downtown and about 15 to 20 minutes to the Monticello. It is super clean and they provided plenty of towels for us. The only small recommendation I made would be to have smart TVs in the bedrooms. I’d say it’s a great day for folks planning for a short visit.

The condo was exactly as described. Great location. Would definitely stay again. Chris and Abby were great at responding to all our questions.

Enjoyed our stay. Just a few minute drive to Town Center with tons of great shops and restaurants. Townhome was clean and a convenient location for our trip. Easy check in and out.

Wonderfully clean and everything in good order. The walk to the beach was easy for the whole family down to our 5 year old. Fantastic coffee shop about a block away (Fathom Coffee) so I never even made my own at the house. The balcony was great for the kids to "Play outside" without worrying about them wandering off. Beds and pillows were cozy and clean. The extras for Beach use were so nice- a little beach cart, some toys, chairs, Beach towels and an umbrella. Google maps insisted on taking us to the opposite side of the block on 19th Street and left us basically on the backyard of where we needed to be. A little common sense got us over a block and we found it pretty quick. The jet tub was nice for the kids to warm up in after a chilly evening at the beach. I wish we'd gotten to stay longer so I could have enjoyed it!

Rob’s place was very conveniently located near the beach, we really enjoyed that. There was a problem with the downstairs toilet and when I messaged Rob he immediately responded and had someone come over first thing the next morning to check on it. A plumber came and got it back up and running. We appreciated his quick response and concern to get it fixed. Check in and out was seamless.

Joseph's place exceeded expectations and looked nicer in person than in the photos. I was able to prepare full meals since the kitchen was equipped with a variety of appliances and even had some spices available. Having accessibility to the bikes was a nice touch, which I personally think made Joseph's place stand out against the other Airbnbs.

Meg’s place is perfect for a base to explore Richmond or relax! Airy, spacious, and just a few blocks away from all the museums, restaurants and shops of the Fan District and Carytown. Would absolutely stay here again!

This place was awesome for the money. Even came with your own boat slip. The host is very nice and responsive. Would absolutely stay again.

It was great stay for us with a family of 5 (3 adults and 2 kids). Place was clean and beautiful and there are lots things to do around that place. Had a great time

I cant say enough great things about this airbnb. It was very clean and we were very happy with the location and clear instructions on parking. Our host, Jon, suggested local places to visit. The pool was unfortunately closed due to a storm and maintenence issues but Jon went above and beyond to quickly remedy the issue and was very professional, kind, and came up with a solution to fix the issue that was not his fault but he did everything to help make it the best outcome possible. I can tell Jon is a good man with great integrity and my family truly felt like he genuinely cared about making sure our visit was as peaceful as possible. We will definitely rebook this airbnb next time we are in the area.

We had a comfortable stay, the living area and bedrooms were spacious for our family of four. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms amazingly quiet. Bring along your white noise or soft music machine if you’re not used to that! A delightful “problem”, we’ve been to numerous Airbnb homes that aren’t quiet because of traffic or other things. Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Lauren’s place. The apartment was clean, spacious, and located right in town. Very private as well, and much larger than it appeared in the photos. Lauren was a great host snd the communication was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

What an absolute gem! This place was so lovely, well-appointed, comfortable and clean. The towels and sheets were soft, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were luxurious. We loved the kitchen, it had all the new appliances. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Charlottesville for a few days. It's central to just about everything.

Very nice and quiet place!

The townhome was perfect and met our needs. It was a quiet end-unit with a fenced in backyard that was perfect for us and our pets. Great place to take our dogs for a walk. The house itself was clean and comfortable. We felt at home instantly and appreciated the setup and amenities. Lastly, we appreciated the responsiveness of the host. All in all a great place to stay and a great host.

Shared this lovely 3 bedroom townhome with my extended family. The home is conveniently located to main roads and easy to get restaurants, shopping, and University. Beautifully decorated with high end furniture and finishes, including a comfy sectional and fireplace. The beds were extremely comfortable with nice luxury bedding making for a peaceful night sleep. I would highly recommend this place if you and your family are staying in the area! Donna

We had a short one-night stay at Natasha's place which was extremely clean and was comfortable for our party of four adults. We had everything we needed and it was nice to find coffee and sugar for the morning (there were also other spices etc. we didn't need to use). The neighborhood was quiet and we all slept well. We had trouble figuring out exactly how to lock the door so called Natasha who picked the phone up immediately and walked us through it, which was great because we were in a rush. We were in town for a funeral and Natasha allowed us an early check-in which enabled us to change clothes before the wake; she also offered us a late check-out in case we needed it which was very kind.

This was my third time staying at this airbnb. I have family in the area and we come here for family events. Airbnb is close and has plenty of room for my family. Nice neighborhood.

My family and I had an amazing stay. Morgan was very responsive and friendly. She sent a list of recommendations for things to do in the area. The location was great, the house was very clean and easy to find. Would highly recommend this place for a peaceful getaway.
