This lovely, spacious waterfront home is located on the York River in Gloucester County Virginia. It is the perfect get away to enjoy the relaxing sounds and sights of nature. The views are spectacular! Keep an eye out for osprey and dolphins as you enjoy watching the sunrise and set over the water. There is plenty to do! Welcome to Deer Hideout Retreat! We are located in Palmyra, Virginia, on two acres of land. There's an abundance to see and to do around here, and we hope you choose our home for your stay. We are far enough outside of the city to enjoy the peace and quiet, but just a short drive to all the action. We are close to Monticello, James Monroe's Highland and 28 minutes away from the city center of historic Charlottesville. There are plenty of vineyards all around us and a couple of orchards, too.

Built in 2019, our home was designed to make our guests' stay enjoyable. In 2023 a Grotto waterfall feature was added with surrounding 3-foot pond. There are two master bedrooms with walk-in showers, as well as a lovely play set in the back yard. The 1st floor master closet was converted into a simple nursery with a crib and baby swing. The master bedroom on the 2nd floor has a queen size bed for parents and a space dedicated to toddlers, featuring a princess castle bed.

Come & enjoy a nice relaxing getaway in this spacious 3 bedroom home in down town Covington, Va. Sue's house has lots to offer; from the large private fenced in yard & spacious back deck, to all the household amenities. This house has recently been remodeled to accommodate 8 guests. The area in which the house is located is ideal for hiking, biking, kayaking, tubing, and fishing. It's also near the historic town of Clifton Forge, as well as, The Omni Homestead Resort.
