Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Island of Ortigia

We loved this beautiful apartment, large bedroom and bathroom with great wooden ceilings. Lots of character with beautiful fixtures and fittings. Very comfortable bed. Great powerful and hot shower. Lots of lovely toiletries available to use together with some food and drinks supplied. Such a lovely touch to our stay. Shared balcony was great to sit on and have breakfast and drinks later on. Situated in a fabulous spot in Ortigia, right in the heart of everything, lots of bars and restaurants yet very quiet apartment. Host responds quickly to any questions.

Wow — this place was absolutely incredible! The photos truly don’t do it justice. The views were breathtaking, the location was unbeatable, and everything about our stay exceeded expectations. The service and accommodations were spot on — very helpful, very friendly, and made us feel right at home. Everything you need is within walking distance, and you’re in the ocean within 60 seconds. We’re already dreaming about coming back, hopefully for a full month next time. Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality! Highly recommend.

Brilliant apartment and definitely the best value for money for the places we stayed in Sicily. The apartment is great fun with loads of funny and quirky decorations everywhere you look. Luigi is very responsive, flexible and a great host, he did he upmost to ensure when we arrived we were welcomed despite our late arrival and made sure we were comfortable during our stay with recommendations and wine on arrival. Great host and the location is nice and quiet, only a 2 minute walk from busier areas and a 15 minute walk (max) into the nicer areas of the city. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great place close to Ortigia, walkable. Apartment was as described, the only thing to mention is there was construction outside the apartment, however little to no noise, very few workers. Didn’t interfere in enjoying our stay. Would recommend!

This apartment is charming, elegant and well equipped. The kitchen is great and we had fun cooking the wonderful food from the market. The position is perfect. Close to the market, the ocean and wonderful cafes and restaurants.

I dearly love Marco’s home which checks every box. Location is great! It’s like 3-minute walking to Train, Bus and Local Bus station which connect me to Noto, Modica and Fontane Bianche in sweat-free matter. Plus, there are multiple eatery options nearby like Onda Blue (love its Fasolari soooo much), Il Matto (affordable yummiest Pizza) and Fuori Ortigia (pretty good Calamari) and La dogana (sublime Carbonara). The house is clean and surprisingly silent from the noise I was worried upon staying in the house though it’s very near a transportation hub of the city. Air conditioner works well and so does shower. Most importantly, Marco himself is such a nice host. I do recommend his nice place.

Idéalement situé près du temple d’Apollon , nous étions au calme dans ce logement charmant ultra propre, fonctionnel, équipé de tout ce qui rend un logement confortable et surtout décoré avec goût. La literie est ultra confortable . En outre , nous avons apprécié l’accueil chaleureux de notre hôte, Maria . Merci pour son écoute, sa pro activité, sa réactivité et toutes ses attentions qui apportent le petit plus magique dans la location… des bouteilles d’eau et des produits de toilettes . Merci aussi pour ses bons conseils et pour les excellentes adresses pour déjeuner et dîner. Tous les ingrédients étaient là pour profiter pleinement de notre séjour à Syracuse en plein cœur d’Ortigia et nous nous sentions dans le logement très à l’aise comme chez nous .…l’expérience nous a enchanté et nous allons revenir . We had a wonderful stay at Marta's place. The property is located in a very convenient area situated close to both the seaside (the closest beach is literally few seconds away) and the heart of Ortigia. Nice bars and restaurants nearby. Marta is extremely friendly and responsive, she gave us lots of advice and local recommendations. Her father came to collect us at the bus station after we arrived with the last bus from Catania. Very nice and welcoming from them. The apartment is as described in the pictures. The bathroom is large and the kitchen is well equipped for people who want to cook there. The bed is very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and we hope we can come back!

The apartment is huge and in a great central location. We walked everywhere. It's surrounded by fab bars and restaurants. The view from the small balconies is beautiful and we loved seeing the sea through the sitting room windows when we came in the front door. As someone else mentioned, there has obviously been a water leak at some point which could do with sorting and a couple of other areas could do with some tlc. Overall, we loved the apartment and would definitely stay here again.

What a fabulous location for exploring Ortigia, we loved the apartment and definitely recommend! Very spacious, well equipped property with everything needed (including air conditioning units in each room, shutters on each window, washing machine and drying racks both inside and out, plenty of towels, comfy beds etc). We mainly walked everywhere from the apartment, choosing not to hire a car, although parking is available. Easy check in met by the host at an agreed time. Huge list of eatery recommendations shared by the hosts which we enjoyed a few of (including superb gelateria!). The local market with super selection of fruit, veg, cheese etc was just a couple of minutes walk away, ultra convenient! We also took a boat trip from a provider that we could see from the apartment.

The place looked even better than the photos. It was spacious and spotless. Laura and Silvio were quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. Very walkable area. Silvio met us at check in and gave very clear instructions to find nearby parking (covered lot with hourly rate; €15/24° max). Would stay there again. Thanks Laura and Silvio!

My husband and I spent two weeks here, and we absolutely LOVED it! The location is fantastic, located on a quiet street just steps away from the main sites, restaurants, shops, and beach. Elisa was responsive with a hot water issue for the shower, and had a plumber offer a solution for the warm temperature to last longer. We would stay here again in a heartbeat, and cannot recommend this place enough!

We had a wonderful stay at Luigi’s. It's just a short walk from the coast and conveniently away from the bustling main tourist street. The rooftop is a true gem for relaxation. Our host was very responsive and courteous. The stairs inside the flat are a bit steep, but manageable if you take your time with luggage. I highly recommend staying in Ortigia and at this lovely place!

Great location! Easy walk to Ortigia, which is absolutely gorgeous area all around! Airbnb apartment is beautiful and spacious. Regardless of its central location, we have not had much of any street noise and the nights were quiet. Highly recommend this place!

We had a lovely stay in Ortigia. The apartment was beautiful and had some lovely touches like the tote bag for swimming togs, which we greatly appreciated. The location was perfect with lots of restaurant options. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Fantastic 3 weeks at Francesco`s beautiful apartment - superbly located on Isola Ortigia, an absoultely spectacular place. Lively even during winter and a number of sights (Neapolis is a must!). Went to the food market for fish and greens and made dinner at home every other day or so. Otherwise a number of very good restaurants within a 500m radius. Breakfast and lunches on the spectacular terrase, short/t-shirt at least half the days (when in the sun) even during winter. Francesco was very helpful when we needed some minor assistance with heating and dishwasher. The heating system was the best I have every come across in Italy - water heated radiators, not only the usual A/C. All in ll - spotless!

Marcella ist sehr freundlich und zurückhaltend - wenn man sie braucht, ist die da, sie wohnt gleich nebenan. Die Lage der Wohnung ist wunderbar - man ist gleich in der Innenstadt und wir haben sogar in der Nähe immer einen kostenlosen Parkplatz gefunden. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und das Haus hat Charme. Die orangefarbene Wand im Wohnzimmer ist jetzt lindgrün. Den Blick vom Balkon auf den Hafen haben wir sehr genossen.

Goede locatie precies tussen Neapolis en Ortigia, met veel voorzieningen rondom. Aardige host die meteen een rondleiding geeft. Voor twee personen een fijne (stille) slaapkamer, met zn drieën of vieren hoor je wel goed wat er allemaal op straat gebeurt als je op de slaapbank in de woonkamer slaapt.

Appartemento in pieno centro di Ortigia ma fuori dalle vie troppo turistiche, posizione eccellente e comunicazione sempre al top. Appartamento calmo e accogliente. Il piccolo barettino di "Irma la dolce" sotto casa é un punto in più.

Nous sommes ravis de ces trois jours passés Syracuse chez Fabio. Le logement est extrêmement bien placé juste à côté d’Ortigia. nous avons facilement trouvé à nous garer. Le logement est bien équipé et très calme. Fabio toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions, Je recommande.

Cristina defines a new meaning of the word 'hospitality'. She was very supportive and always ready to answer our questions. Flat is nice and clean, as given in description, within walking distance from most of worth seeing places in Siracusa. All of that made our visit to Siracuse a very nice experience.
