Vacation rentals with breakfast in Island of Hawai'i

Lovely home! I was expecting just a room in a house like the description but the space has its own entryway, bathroom, and dining area so it feels like a separate studio apartment. It was beautiful and clean. Would recommend to those wanting to stay close to Volcano National Park!

The accommodations are simple. The bed was very comfortable with AC in that room. The unit was clean and simple but reasonable for the location - very close to kayaking and snorkeling. There were plenty of towels, hot water, easy cooking facilities, private quiet and safe. If you want upscale fancy - go to a hotel. If you want some space to spread out for a reasonable price by the beach this unit wins my vote! Loved our stay and we will return.

We already want to return. The house was easy to find and enter. Private and beautiful surroundings. Close to the National Park. It was exceptionally clean and set up for littles too, with a huge game room downstairs. Its just as the pictures description. The only thing that caught us off guard was at checkout there were some simple chores. As a mom of 2 littles, I was looking forward to not having to do any chores on our stay. One of the asks was to haul off our own trash. We had already paid a cleaning fee and had zero space left in our small car that was packed to the rim. The host was understanding about it. The check in-out time was short for one night booking from 4pm-10am. We were able to get the house earlier so our littles could nap. And get dinner. We recommend this place and would like to come back here. We were also gifted a 100% cotton tote bag. For me, the little notices of cotton material for the tote meant a lot. Overall I would give this place 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Jason was an amazing host. House looked just like the pictures and you can tell it is well kept. He was quick to respond when I had any questions.

Kurt and Kana were wonderful hosts! The breakfast was amazing and Kurt had an “after breakfast chat” where he sat down and chatted about everything and anything. We felt right at home and he and Kana were very welcoming. He had great restaurant recommendations and other good local tips. Highly recommended! Thanks again for making our stay so relaxing!

We had a wonderful family vacation here! We wanted to take the kids to Hawaii (their first time) and needed a home with lots of space. We have 4 kids so a condo or hotel room just doesn't work for us. We loved that we had a home for them that was quiet, away from the resorts, and surrounded by the rainforest. This house had a small pool which was perfect for the hot afternoons. The house is beautifully decorated and every room was spotless. What sold me on it was the location (rainforest surroundings), Hilo is 20 minutes away, and the large porch which was perfect for hammock naps and wine at the end of the day. Cathia was very helpful, she gave suggestions on things to do, places to eat, etc. They live on the ground floor which was actually nice...if you need help, they are there. We only saw them when yard work was being done. The property is quite large with coconut trees and orange trees, which our kids really loved. We fell asleep to tree frogs singing every night, can't beat it!

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home very much. Plenty of room for our family of 5, and the kitchen was fairly well appointed for cooking in. There were also many extras that we appreciated as well, such as flashlights (the property is remote, so very dark outside at night), laundry detergent, books and games. etc. One thing to note is that there was a slight musty smell; I suspect due to the wall-to-wall carpeting in the bedrooms and the tropical climate. This did not bother half of us, but the other half of us who are more sensitive to smells were a little bothered. I think a change of flooring would be a good idea (not an easy fix, I know).

If you want a quiet place to stay this is a good choice! Away from the crowds but easily accessible to attractions. The property is stunning with beautiful flowers and birds and incredible views.

This was a peaceful and cozy place to stay. The host was very friendly and responsive. I would recommend to anyone who is simple and wants a relaxing getaway.

Die Unterkunft hat wirklich alles übertroffen. Auf den Fotos sieht man leider nicht viel vom Interieur der Unterkunft. Der Kühlschrank war gefüllt mit Frühstücks Utensilien und verschiedenen Sorten von Milch was sehr angenehm war. Kaffee war auch genug da. Im Bad waren die Schränke ebenfalls mit nützlichen Utensilien ausgestattet. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Das absolute Highlight war die liebevolle, herzliche Art von Viviane. Sie spricht französisch, deutsch und englisch. Die Aussicht war grandios und wir haben uns jeden Morgen gefreut dort zu frühstücken. Wir wollten nicht mehr weg und somit werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Es war wunderschön. Mahalo an Viviane. Liebe Grüße Ramona und Daniel

It was pretty basic, but what we expected. A lovely view from the swimming pool...and a great location to explore Captain Cook!

Large enough for group stays of 4 people. Great restaurant right next door. Nice kitchen and bathroom. Very comfy!!

Her place was wonderful! She was really kindness, friendly. I much appreciate her offer to outdoor activity, also would like to recommend. You can enjoy your space :)

Maxx was very accommodating to us as there was hiccup in renting out the Escape to Mauna Loa Village and gave us another space to spend the rest of our trip. It was very clean, easily accessible, and a perfect location for exploring Kona. I would definitely love to book with Maxx again in the future!

We had a wonderful stay and are so thankful for the hospitality shown to us! The B&B is in the middle of forest trees, very tranquil, and we loved the sounds of all the birds and frogs and even the rooster and cow out back! Very comfortable beds, spacious room with extra amenities that weren’t listed like a microwave and mini fridge, and our suite had a lovely private lanai as well. The included breakfast was absolutely delicious and our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Would absolutely recommend!

Such a beautiful hidden gem, nestled in the forest just outside of Hilo. It's about a 3-minute drive to "downtown" Hilo, which has a surprising number of very good restaurants for such a small town. Cody's place has only 3 units, and a balcony that includes a shared breakfast area (self-serve) and views of the forest and small waterfall. Bring your bug spray! Overall, a comfortable, beautiful place convenient to Hilo, Volcanoes National Park (an easy 45 minute drive), etc. We are glad we found it!

She was always responsive, kind, and genuinely cared about my comfort. The place itself was clean and cozy, but it’s the host’s warmth that made this experience unforgettable. I really enjoyed my 5 nights. My family had been with me for a couple weeks at a much higher nightly cost, so in my extra 10 days I wanted to ratchet down to a more reasonable nightly cost. And this natural paradise was a success for me. I loved getting know Honokaa area better - and the roads around this retreat are just remarkable with their huge eucalyptus trees! Kitchen was pristine, and they have a nice French press for my critical morning coffee. And enjoyed eating the farm’s bananas for breakfast. And space in the fridge & freezer for my extra foods left over. I was tempted to stay extra nights, but figured it better to keep exploring the awesome island. They had an extra blanket because it does get chilly in the middle of the night. Memorable and enjoyable airbnb!

My daughter and I had a great stay! There were no surprises, Steve was very informative about our accommodations when we got there & the location was perfect. A quick 5 minute drive in to Hilo Town and a great base for exploring the island. We were so busy during our stay that we were bummed not to have time for the pool or hot tub! Mahalo for having us!

i came here to recenter myself and this was a perfectly peaceful indoor/outdoor cabin set in the midst of a banana grove to do it in. there are no frills. it is very much as shown. only 25 mins outside of downtown hilo if you need a people/activity fix and there are parks and beaches and lots to do nearby including a farmers market every tuesday. this is a charming location and akiko (who is a gem all on her own) invites you to do sitting meditation, gentle yoga and to visit as you like. sharing the kitchen/bathroom is fine -- there's only one other guest to share with. it's a lovely place and i recommend it if you're not a high maintenance person and just need/want a peaceful space to be. mahalo akiko! mahalo.

Wir kamen sehr spät Abends in der Unterkunft an, dort war ein ausführliches Infoschreiben für uns hinterlegt. Der Check-in verlief somit problemlos. Das Haus und der Garten sind wunderschön, sauber und gepflegt. Das tägliche Frühstück von Hannah war für mich das Highlight. Das Frühstück kann man auf der Veranda mit Blick auf das Meer genießen. Ich kann die Unterkunft von Michael nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen und würde sofort wieder hier übernachten.
