Amazing hosts, I consider myself lucky to have gotten to stay there! It’s a beautiful home walking distance to the beach, extremely clean and priced very fairly for what they offer. Would definitely stay again if I came back!

Had a fantastic time here. Perfect spot if you like quiet and relaxation. Lots of space and amenities. Close to Hilo and the volcano. Fantastic hosts. Very helpful with lots of tips and info. Very responsive. We're particularly helpful during our arrival day due to a missed connection in Honolulu. Very much appreciated waiting up so late and info sent. Thank you. We will be back.

Beautiful property in Naalehu. Pretty easy to find and there’s a sign that says “Park Here” on the lawn, which is very helpful. Fresh fruit upon our arrival. Paul was very responsive to all my messages. This is about a 20 min drive to the southern most point in the US and to the Green Sand beach hike. Farmers market every Wednesday in Naalehu is really neat. The space is as described and perfect for 2 people. I’ll definitely stay here again if I’m on this side of the island! There’s a washer and drier in the unit too, which is a bonus!

Merlinda’s farm was the perfect mix of peaceful, calm and quiet with the benefit of being close to all of the beaches, hiking and restaurants in Hilo and other areas I could want. Her home is exactly as described, spacious and well appointed. Merlinda was a perfect host, both very communicative and also gave me space to just chill. An added bonus was that there was fruit growing from almost every tree/plant on the property and Merlinda was so generous in showing me around and allowing me to taste them! I highly recommend staying here and I look forward to coming back again! This stay was the perfect Aloha experience!

Great location we walked every day up and down the strip to different restaurants into the beach other sites Walmart, and Safeway are about a five minute drive or about a 10 minute walk Apartment was a good size in newly renovated

We loved the space. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great stay. We're really glad we chose this spot—it turned out to be a perfect base for exploring the city. The location is very convenient and made it easy for us to get to other parts of the city without any hassle.

We absolutely loved Randall’s Garden Suite! The home is located right off the main road but you feel so secluded. The trees were so tall and grandeur, you felt like you’re sitting right in the middle of the rainforest. The yard space was incredible to wake up to every morning, with life teaming all night, frog sounds turn into birds chirping all throughout the morning. (Bring some binoculars and just chill on the lanai, you won’t be disappointed at all!) E’hu the best host of them all, the guard dog, he made the trip extra special, being greeted in the morning or at 2am grilling on the bbq. Yes the fiancé and I wanted steaks at 2am. So did E’hu apparently, he scared the living crap out of me he’s so stealthy and quiet. Such a good boy, he’s living the life! Walking to the botanical gardens was a blast there’s also two good trails close by too Don’t miss out. To anyone deciding to stay here, do it! Unless you and mosquitos have a thing against each other lol. Thanks Randall, cheers 🤙?

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. It is perfect for a couple. The place is not large but extremely thoughtful in its layout and you do not feel cramped. It was very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. I love this location -- it's very central and easy to get anywhere to need to go. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we were so happy to have Pebble Beach just a 5 minute drive away. It felt like our own private beach! This stay was so nice and was filled with nature noises! I highly recommend staying here:)

As we were checking out, my husband commented that Jennifer's place is one of the most comfortable Airbnb's we've ever stayed in and is the most comfortable in Hawaii (and we come to Hawaii often!). Jennifer has thought of everything to make our stay easy, relaxing and comfortable. From lamps and lights in all the right places, to plenty of hooks in the bathroom. The large walk in shower is divine. But the best was having coffee, dinner, or just hanging on the lanai with it gorgeous view, surrounded by amazing flowering plants and fruit trees. Thank you too, Jennifer, for all the fresh fruit from your garden. The only warning I can give future guests is to NOT use Google Maps to find the place. Each time we put the address in, Google Maps tried to take us down the hill on a totally different road. Go by Jennifer's written instructions.

This is a perfect stopover between Kona and Hilo, and is a manageable distance from the Volcanoes National Park. The room is very clean, very private and you have enough space to park your in the drive way. We like the ambience as it's situated right in the middle of a golf course. Debby has been a great host and prepared for our late arrival.

Place was just as advertised. Beautiful view of ocean from cliff with surfers every day! No AC but none needed. Two fans are provided if you like. Ocean sounds and frogs lull you to sleep, birds and sunrise greet you in the morning. Close to Hilo downtown area. Bathroom nice with plenty of hot water and amenities. Would stay there again if I visit Hilo again!

Stephanie’s place was a perfect base for crashing our first night on Hawaii. It was easy to get in and out and had everything we needed, including comfortable beds. It’s on a somewhat busy street, but the traffic died down at night. We’re looking forward to staying here again on our last night on the island!

We had a wonderful stay at James’s place! The home was clean, beautifully maintained, and located in a peaceful area that made it easy to relax and explore the Big Island. James was incredibly thoughtful and hospitable. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the island. Thank you again for such a memorable experience!

We had a nice retreat here. The hosts were incredibly helpful and gave us great suggestions including an active Mauna Loa eruption that we'd have missed if not for them. They set us up with coolers, headlamps, and everything else we could need. They'll help you out as much as you want but also give you as much space as you like. They were flexible with timing and too kind when we broke their salt shaker. The spot is near nature adventures including the black sand beach, a farmer's market, and south point. The outside area is a great hangout as well. We thought the heat would be an issue, but the breeze kept us cool all day. Highly recommended!

Puako is a quiet and beautiful community nestled on the coast and Wendy blends this setting into her hosting style which made us feel welcome and at home. The accommodations were better than anticipated and the birds and plants along Puako make for fascinating morning street and beach walks. Not once while walking the entire drive did we hear anything beyond bird calls and waves. Everyone was friendly and we wound up meeting several of the neighbors.

This was my first ever Airbnb experience and I must say, what a high standard Keoni's place set. Everything was clean, tidy and spotless. Had all the essentials needed for daily use but also had essentials to use at the beach. it's a cute little place that Keoni's has setup, with amazing morning and night views. waking up to sunny skies overlooking the ocean felt like waking up in paradise. As a host, Keoni was quick to respond and also accommodate any requests I had. Furthermore, the location is like a 8 min drive to the center of town so it was very convenient to get to restaurants, shops, beaches, etc. all in all, cannot recommend Keoni's place enough. When we come back to Big Island in future, I will not hesitate to stay at Keoni's. Mahalo 🤙

Daryl is a great host! The description of the studio matched what you feel and see when you first enter the unit. Daryl was very prompt in providing instructions and check in information soon after the reservation was confirmed. He also provided very nice local restaurant recommendations when we inquired. The unit was very clean and smelled fresh. The AC provided comfort when the afternoon was hot and the room fans provided great circulation at night when the AC was turned off and we could enjoy the cool breezes in the unit. Daryl’s place was perfect for our needs and budget! We would stay here again if available should we want to stay on the Hilo side of the island

Brian was a great host — very responsive and accommodating. The pool is a shared space but still very nice and well-maintained.. My friend and I loved the aesthetic of the place — there were so many thoughtful details throughout, like chairs, towels, snorkel gear, and even great shower pressure. We’d definitely come again!!

Very friendly and helpful host + very budget-friendly stay = a good value AirBnB experience! I would recommend to anyone who wants to visit this side of the island near Hilo and Volcano, without spending too much. Beds were comfortable, which already makes this place better then many places that are more then double the price. :)

This Airbnb was very clean. We enjoyed our French press coffee in the mornings. It had everything you would need. Beds were comfy and plenty of towels including beach towels. Proximity to town and all the great restaurants is a short walking distance. We really enjoyed Kaleo’s, Ning’s Thai Food, and Pele’s kitchen for breakfast. It’s very centrally located. The sound of the coqui frogs lulled me to sleep. Truly an Hawaiian experience. Matt and his family are wonderful. Matt is very responsive and kind. We had a major flight delay and his wife made us some scones for breakfast. It’s not the Ritz but it’s clean, has good beds and in a great location.

We stayed at Kona Mountain Refuge for our one week honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing :) it’s nestled in what feels like a jungle bungalow and is so serene and peaceful. The location was perfect as we got to explore many different parts of the island such as Two Step, Volcano National Park, Hilo, Hapuna beach. The Airbnb is very clean and has all the amenities you could need. We enjoyed the kitchen and even the complimentary washer/dryer. The host provided all swimming equipment you could think of (beach chairs, umbrella, snorkels, towels, noodles)! Very thoughtful of them. They even sent us a detailed guide/list of recommendations which was so helpful in planning our itinerary. We had a car with low clearance and were able to park on top near the street, so parking was not an issue for us. We especially loved the friendly cat Papaya who I miss already! Would definitely return when we come back to the big island! Thank you for an amazing and memorable honeymoon stay :)

We booked this place after our previous plan fell through. I'm so glad we did! It was beautiful and perfect for our short stay in the Hilo area. Guy and Trey made us feel welcomed and gave us some tips on visiting the local spots!
