Places to stay in Isla Vista

I would highly recommend !! My family and I had a wonderful stay. We loved the location as it was walking distance to most places we wanted to go. The rooftop deck was wonderful to sit and enjoy in the mornings for coffee and plan our day and evenings to unwind with a cocktail and relive the memories of that day. Tatiana is great, she was very quick to respond to an unexpected issue that arose when we arrived, and her husband came to check that all was okay. So I give them both an A+ for that. Lastly, the dumbwaiter is a big help when unloading and then repacking the car. Just remember to double check it before you leave! We added 2 hours to our drive time as my husband had left our final bag in the dumbwaiter and we had to turn around - lol/ugg !!

This was a true vacation. Some places are pretty - this one was gorgeous and super comfortable. The space was so accommodating to us as a family - the rooms to sit, the outdoor table, the upstairs deck, the pool table. I will savor always these memories. The pool table converts to a large table and we had our meals there. The upstairs deck with the fire pit was heavenly - we could hear the ocean. The kitchen has what you need - we were able to have 10 for dinner (local family plus those at the B&B). The beds were super comfortable and so quiet at night - again, with the windows open you can hear the waves. I would LOVE to return to this property. Very responsive management and let us check in early which was so helpful! Thank you for truly a rejuvenating stay!

Beautiful, private cottage setting in Summerland. 15 minutes away from Santa Barbara, where we attended a wedding. The place is much bigger than it looks in the pictures. Super quiet at night, private, and we had breakfast on the cozy front porch!

We had a fantastic time staying here. The house is beautifully decorated, clean and exactly how it looks in the photos. Great walking distance to everything in Santa Barbara. We loved our stay here. The only issue we had was communicating to the house management company regarding parking our car. That took about an hour which we weren’t happy about as we had plans. Overall, we would definitely stay here again as it exceeded our expectations. Wouldn’t hesitate to book it again!

Absolutely HEAVENLY!! Incredible house, on ocean location, well appointed amenities, large deck, hot tub with full ocean view, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, great communication, very helpful staff, will definitely return!

Our family booked this house for Thanksgiving week. It is in a quiet neighborhood with amazing views. The house was very clean and uncluttered. We had an amazing time together cooking, playing games and walking around the neighborhood. We would definitely stay again!!

My mother and I stayed here with her doggy, and we were very comfortable. Ian‘s place is just as described with an amazing view really easy access to the freeway as well as an alternate route through Montecito so we had no problems getting anywhere. Little downtown Summerland is Quaint and a fun walk with good eats, shops, and coffee. Part of our visit was going on lots of beach walks and we were right between all the great beaches from Rincon out to Goleta. We did not make use of the patio. We were out and about quite a bit. Would definitely stay here again. Ian is also a very friendly and responsive host.

We had a fantastic stay—our kids absolutely loved it and begged to stay longer every single day. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, with gorgeous morning strolls and stunning evening sunsets. We especially appreciated that it was dog-friendly—the built-in dog door in the bedroom was such a thoughtful detail, letting our pup come and go without waking us. After full days of kayaking around the Channel Islands, relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind. The kitchen was fully stocked for home-cooked meals, and the welcome snacks were a lovely touch. We also loved not having to pack beach gear—the hosts had everything covered: toys, canopy, towels, you name it. Everything was spotless and well maintained, and the host’s kindness in offering us a late checkout made our departure so much smoother. We’d come back in a heartbeat.
