Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Île-d'Aix

Carmen is a great host, very responsive, helpful and friendly. Her place is fab, in a great location by the lagoon. As two families we enjoyed the privacy of the ensuite room with separate entrance. Having another ensuite and separate bathroom worked well for us. The main space with a little kitchen area at the back was well used too, opening out onto the terraces with ever changing views of the sea and amazing sunsets. The only issue, out of our host's control, was the bugs - mosquitoes weren't repelled by our repellent or deterred by long clothes, and the gnats and wasps were also persistent during the sunny weather. La Plage restaurant, two doors along, is welcoming for drinks and great seafood. There is an obstacle course and exercise route just along the prom for the kids as well as a baguette machine and another restaurant which rarely seemed to be open! Lidl, E Leclerc and Intermarche are within 10 mins drive. La Rochelle and Cognac within 1 hour. We would happily return.

Cathy, we were very well received. She gave us useful information as soon as we arrived. She remained available when needed. The accommodation offers a plethora of useful equipment for barbecue, coffee and other. The spas were clean and functional. I recommend the house. There were 8 of us with 3 small children. PS: The garden is beautiful

Very nice stay at this family home. Access to the beach is ideal with children, no need to take the car. Everything is designed to host a family. Pleasant sea views in the living rooms. Very easy communication, was able to meet our needs. We'll be happy to go back!

There is a plancha, our son was able to make us enjoy his talents as a Master Chef. The pool is nickel chrome. Bath towels. Deckchairs. For the kitchen, there is everything you need. Pots, cutlery, plates, etc. A little corner with toys that our 4-year-old grandson used well... Everything is perfect, thank you Marine.

Very nice accommodation conducive to relaxation on the terraces after cycling around the island because the cottage is in close proximity to the bike path. The cottage is modern and very well-equipped (the coffee lover was delighted by the percolator!) The bedding is comfortable. A big plus to be able to put the bikes in a room to protect them at night. Very good place.

Very nice stay Spacious and comfortable home

Very nice renovation for this small quiet house 15 min walk to the beach. Ideal for couples or a small family. We enjoyed the large enclosed garden, perfect for our dog. The accommodation is perfectly equipped and contact with Sébastien is very fluid and friendly. Perfect stay!

I thank Estelle and Aurélie again for this impeccable short stay, disconnected, with miles of beautiful beach accessible from the garden. 🧡 The accommodation is ultra clean, functional (nothing is missing), quiet, with panoramic views and beautiful sea. Chatelaillon beach 3 km away adds to the charm of this very good location. It was perfect for a break.

We had a lovely time at Lisa's, the location is really great, the apartment is very charming. It is well-equipped for babies (our son is 15 months old) with high chair, stair gate, etc. Very nice with the terrace and all the windows.

Beautiful new accommodation, clean, beautiful sea view. It is well suited for cycling, bike-friendly, safe. We enjoyed getting around easily by bike for shopping, walks, the beach just opposite is really a plus!! Enjoyed our stay, thank you.

A gem , close to the port , shabby chic interior with gorgeous touches . Patricia was a most helpful host and made our arrival very special . Small but perfectly formed studio with everything one needs . Highly recommended

Pleasant accommodation overlooking the lake and sea, really peaceful and quiet. Parking space, clean accommodation and all the minimum necessities. Walking distance to the beach in less than 15 min. And Pauline is very responsive by message. I recommend it. Thanks 😊

Maryse is a very nice and available host and she is also very accommodating for check-in and check-out when possible! The apartment is ideally located. We rented for our 3-day weekend and we did everything on foot! The parking space is a big plus. We highly recommend Maryse and her property! You can go there without so much as a second thought, you won't be disappointed! Very eager to return to La Rochelle in this very beautiful property, tastefully decorated and so well located in La Rochelle!

Beautiful apartment, fabulous views (even from the shower!), and delightful little private beach - where our kids enjoyed playing while we played boules on the lawn above. Lovely walk into the old port, either along the beach path, or inland along the beautiful grassy avenue. Great restaurants in the town, although we enjoyed most meals at home so we could make the most of the fantastic views. A wonderful stay!

Sandrine, thank you so much!! The accommodation is niquel, balcony overlooking the sea. A dedicated parking space and then, after all, is on foot. I highly recommend if you want to spend a disconnected evening facing the sea!!
