Lovely cottage - beautifully restored, cosy and very clean. We especially liked the sun room during the daytime, and the log burner for the chilly evenings. The area is stunning, and Hartington has lots of amenities - shops, tearooms, nice pub. Dave was really helpful and responded to our queries very quickly. Would definitely stay again!

Had a wonderful stay at Rose Cottage with my friend and my 2 Labradors. The cottage was just perfect, spotless, cozy and situated in the most beautiful location. John greeted us with a freshly baked loaf of bread and was on hand for any help we needed- including plasters for our blisters from all the beautiful walks! Will definitely return!

We had the most wonderful stay at Dora’s cottage over New Year with our 2-month-old baby—it was the perfect first holiday as a new family. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, set in a secluded and peaceful location, yet equipped with everything we needed for a cosy and comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring we all had a great night’s sleep, and the thoughtful touches around the property made it feel like a true home away from home. The check-in process was seamless, with clear guides and helpful communication from Jackie, making everything stress-free. The location was ideal, with fantastic places to explore nearby, such as scenic walks along the Manifold Trail and a visit to Chatsworth House. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to return in the future. Highly recommend this gem of a cottage!
