Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Guimaraes

I spent a glorious month at Maria Celeste’s home. It was simply the best place to reset, connect with nature & rest. I’ve never been to a more peaceful home. Freshly squeezed orange juice (from trees) every morning. Lemons for water. A natural spring to swim off hiking grime. Mountains to climb surrounding the entire home. Lizard & butterfly friends. And so so quiet. Maria Celeste picked me up & drove me to the location. Taxi services available to go to town when needed. I can not recommend staying at this home more. If you need some R’n’R, stay. You won’t regret it.

Rafael's place is absolutely gorgeous! On arrival, he gave us a warm tour and shared the property's history—fascinating. It's beautifully restored, surrounded by trees offering total privacy. His dad keeps bees nearby (we could’ve visited) and grows cherries, lemons, and oranges—he encouraged us to help ourselves, and they were delicious. The property was perfect for two, with a well-appointed bathroom, living area, and a private pool—compact but fits four comfortably. Rafael was super attentive and responsive, a brilliant host who clearly takes pride in the place. A few minor notes: the pool has no cover or hoover, so needs a quick skim due to nearby trees (his dad cleans it regularly); there are only 3 loungers and 2 extra chairs at the front; and indoor seating isn’t the comfiest for four, with 2 chairs being wicker which differs from the listing. These aren’t real negatives—just things to note. Amazing value and we’d love to return when we're back in the area!

We had an amazing time at this lovely house! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—close to the river. What really stood out was the warm hospitality. Our host was incredibly kind and helpful, offering great local tips and making us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Porto. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Beautiful location, private and serene, Maria Lurdes is a fantastic host. She took time to show us around and explain the local culture and towns. The house is beautiful with so much space for games, gym, office space, living area is spacious for large groups. The river is right in front with easy access. Will definitely go back again to enjoy the house and Maria’s great hospitality. Would easily give the place 6 STARS out of 5!!!!

Vielen lieben Dank, Rita & João! Rechtzeitig zur Ankunft in Porto erhielten wir eine detaillierte Wegbeschreibung zu den Gegebenheiten vor Ort. Wir wurden äußerst freundlich im Anwesen empfangen und erhielten die Schlüssel. Das Anwesen entspricht exakt den Bildern und es mangelte uns, während des Aufenthalts in Ventosa, an nichts. Wir haben die freie Zeit sehr genossen!

This was a wonderful Airbnb with a great location. The layout of the house was very nice, with thoughtful design woven in throughout. The location was very convenient for walking by foot to restaurants or visiting the downtown. I wish I could have stayed longer :)!

We stayed here for two nights and loved the house. It’s situated within walking distance to the attractions within the town and also a close drive to the Douro Valley. I would highly recommend. Host was also quick to respond to any questions.

Excelente localização, apartamento muito bom

Isa’s condo was absolutely beautiful and so clean. The view from every window was stunning. We were able to walk easily to restaurants and shops. If we ever had a question, they were quick to respond. The beds were very comfortable. We could not have been happier. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Porto!

Host super disponibile e amichevole, ha sempre risposto rapidamente alle nostre domande e ci ha dato un passaggio dalla stazione fino all'alloggio. L'appartamento era veramente spazioso e ben illuminato, situato in una zona tranquilla un po' fuori dal centro che era comunque raggiungibile a piedi. Ottima esperienza

Beautiful place. Very well located. There was a supermarket, cafes, restaurants, and a pharmacy all within 5 meters of the apartment. It was also right on the edge of the inner medieval quarter which had a lot of bars, cafes, and restaurants. Squeaky clean and very nice rooms. Three king beds and one room with twin beds. The room with twin beds does not have a closet or anywhere to put a suitcase but we worked that out without effort. Great place and a great price.

I had the most sublime visit. There is an abundance of nature, good food, convenient shops, activities and such peacefulness. This was my most memorable and favourite AirBnB experience by FAR. There is also a garden with fresh herbs and some vegetables that you can pick from. I kayaked, I walked, I swam, I read, I cooked, I hiked. Everything about this experience is MAGICAL. I most certainly will return. Thank you Fernandes for such warmth and kindness.

I would highly recommend this place. The location is perfect, a stone’s throw from the city centre but away from the hustle & bustle and noise. Maria and Sergio also met us upon arrival and provided us with great recommendations. The view from the terrace is exactly as pictured - it is the perfect spot to kick back and relax on the Duoro River after a long day of walking the hills of Porto.

El apartamento de Sandra es magnífico: limpio, luminoso, céntrico, muy amplio para dos personas y muy tranquilo. Nuestra estancia en Guimarães, en pleno centro histórico, fue estupenda gracias a ese alojamiento. La relación precio-calidad es óptima. El cercano y barato aparcamiento Camões también facilitó las cosas. Sin duda recomendamos este lugar agradable y bien gestionado. Muito obrigado.

Beautiful tranquil little converted farmhouse. All the amenities you need, lovely pool and very friendly dog. It is walkable to supermarket and local bars or a cab to Guimarães is very cheap. Our host was very friendly and helpful throughout.

Muito boa estadia

The apartment was just like the pictures. It was a 5 minutes walk into the heart of old town. It was very quiet at night, even with the windows open. It is up a short, steep street, and on the 3rd floor (and there is no lift) so be prepared to get some exercise. We thought the location was great, and there was everything we needed in the apartment.

Bardzo mile mieszkanie dla 2 osób, z wszelkimi udogodnieniami - ręczniki, szampon, mydlo, ekspres do kawy, pralka, żelazko. Bardzo mily i pomocny gospodarz, pokazal nam na mapie Porto miejsa warte zwiedzenia, na bieząco odpowiadał na wszystkie pytania - bardzo dobry kontakt. Mieszkanie polożone 500 m od plaży., w bardzo dobrym punkcie komunikacyjnym ( metro, autobusy ) Bardzo polecam .

L'appartamento è attualmente in ristrutturazione e ci è stato dato quello al piano inferiore simile ma con una grande terrazza L'appartamento comunque nuovo, comodo e pulitissimo. Dal 22 al 29 maggio, con mia moglie e mio figlio, abbiamo soggiornato in questo appartamento dotato di ogni confort, tutti gli elettrodomestici in cucina e nel bagno sono nuovi. Tutta la biancheria, da letto e da bagno, è stata disponibile e perfetta. Letto matrimoniale comodo e grande Inoltre in casa c'è un wi-fi perfetto e veloce e due condizionatori nuovi L'alloggio si trova vicino a Campanha, in una zona tranquilla ed il condominio è molto silenzioso. David è stato gentile e disponibile rispondendo immediatamente alle nostre domande Soggiorno da rifare sicuramente ... Consigliatissimo. Grazie di tutto Prima volta su Airbnb ed è stato tutto fantastico...ho trovato David!!!

The apartment is very beautiful and in a great central area. We went everywhere by foot. The communication with Daniel was perfect, he is very nice and responded quickly. We really enjoyed our stay there.

All I can say is wow! We spent 11 days staying at Adriano’s apartment and it felt like home! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a well equipped Air BnB. If you could think of it, Adriano had it. In the bathroom there was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryer and hair straighteners. In the kitchen there was every utensil you could think of and more, I think you could cook a full Sunday roast dinner and have every pan and dish required! We are a family of four, with children aged 5 and 7. They made the most of the swimming pool during our stay and the beach. The pool is cool but refreshing. The sea was like ice but we made good games of jumping the waves and splashing one another. The beach is less than a five minute walk from the apartment and is a must during your stay, even if it’s just to watch the surfers fight the waves. It’s a very peaceful beach! Adriano is a great host and very helpful. We will be looking to stay again if we come back to the area!

Joao was a super great host, very helpful and very flexible on check in which he met us personally to give us a walk through of everything. Very responsive and the place was perfect with a little garden to have coffee in the morning. Great location and enough provisions for our short stay. Highly recommend!

Mieszkanie bardzo przytulne, czyste i bardzo przestronne. Gospodarz bardzo komunikatywny, szybko odpowiada na wiadomości. Otrzymałyśmy bardzo dokładne wskazówki jak dostać się do apartamentu, co było bardzo pomocne. Lokalizacja kawałek od centrum ale dla nas to nie był problem - zależało nam aby apartament znajdował się blisko uczelni (ok. 10 minut spaceru do universytetu). Zdecydowanie polecam to miejsce!
