Stayed here while I attended a wedding at Redworth Hall so it was a perfect location for that. The room was nice and spacious, lovely comfy bed and I opted for the £5 cooked breakfast in the morning which was a nice treat. Paul and Jasmine made me feel very welcome.

Great stopover whilst doing the C2C cycle. There is bike storage, a large and well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and clean bathroom. The local pub was not serving food so we went via the co-op in Stanhope to stock up on food. When we arrived at the airbnb there was fruit and breakfast ingredients - a great touch! Sophie was good at communicating and Lizzie was very welcoming - thank you!

Great place to stay if you’re doing the C2C cycle. The Cross Keys pub is a good 10-minute walk (downhill there, uphill on way back). Make sure to save some energy for the walk and book in advance as pub is quite small and v busy! Breakfast was great: help yourself and tonnes of cereal, toast and eggs. Sophie very kindly got some soya milk after I asked for a dairy free option. Sophie and Lizzie also kindly turned the heating on so the room was lovely and warm on arrival. Thanks for a great stay!

Super friendly hosts, great home-cooked food. Lovely room. Immaculately clean, great location for town and for sightseeing further afield.

Nice place to stay for a few nights. Beds were comfortable, able to to have coffee and tea in the room. Cafe next door that is cheap and nice for breakfast. Easy to find and parking was very useful!! Would stay again.

100% worth the price, best of the best. We had a really really great time together. Pete has a very strong sense of humor, and Carole makes us a wonderful local feast and breakfast. It’s FLAWLESS! My family is really enjoyed. One thing I hate is our English is not so good that we can’t express all our happiness. Even that, they use translation apps to break the barrier. There are so many wonderful details that can't be expressed in the comments. They show the true brilliance of humanity and tell us that friendship knows no boundaries. 100 out of 10!

I had the misfortune of having to see a friend at James Cook University Hospital. Fortunately, I found the wonderful place with Claudio. super spacious suite, 20 minute walk to North Entrance to the hospital, affordable parking spot, beautifully cooked full English breakfast. very happ experience and will recommend to anyone visiting families

The room looks just like the photo. The whole house was spotless/clean/tidy. Avril & Angus were welcoming and really helpful - the perfect hosts. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choice. And the in-room snacks & drinks were plentiful. Hoping to stay again next year xx

Another lovely stay at the Cara! The beach is on the doorstep & you come back to a warm stylish room, soft white towels, hot shower & TV. Lots of choice for breakfast, from full English to pancakes or breakfast burritos even! You'll feel really looked after by Mareia or Julia if you stay at the Cara. Highly recommended. brenda x

Steve's place is a beautiful original farmhouse. The bathroom was tastefully renovated with a fantastic shower. He is very friendly, booked dinner for us, gave a fascinating rundown on his sheep-milk cheese production. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Very welcoming stay with Jan and Doug. It was like coming home after a few days hiking and they cooked an amazing breakfast. Good location and easy to walk into the town centre too.

Heather is a wonderful host and the Coach House is exactly as described. The information provided by Heather is really helpful and Heather responds to queries very quickly. The Coach House is spotlessly clean and has everything you need although the provision of a TV would be a bonus. However, WiFi is available and guests are offered the opportunity to watch TV to on their own devices. The location is excellent with lovely views from the Coach House windows. I would highly recommend the Coach House and I plan to return soon.

Our stay at Dominic and Elaine's home was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms by the kindest and friendliest hosts we’ve ever met. They truly went above and beyond with personal touches that made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed! The house itself is absolutely stunning—every corner beautifully designed and immaculately kept. We were constantly in awe of the space and comfort. But what truly made our stay memorable was the incredible breakfast they prepared. It was not only delicious but felt like it was made with such care and love. If you’re looking for a stay that feels both luxurious and warm, we cannot recommend Dominic and Elaine's place enough. We left feeling like we had made new friends, and we’ll definitely be back! Such a homely, lovely place to stay. Julia was very kind and communicative. The room was really comfy and clean and I slept very well. The living room, bathroom and kitchen also had all the amenities needed which was great. I would recommend to anyone visiting and will definitely be back!
