My son has thoroughly enjoyed his home away from home at Brenda’s place while attending college at Patrick & Henry’s Rwcing College of Virginia. He’ll be back next semester, too! Brenda and her family are wonderful hosts.

Traci and manager Sophia were super responsive to requests and texts. The place was very clean and as advertised. The location is walkable to the marina and a quick drive to other restaurants, state park, and grocery. We would definitely book again.

This place was the best place we have ever done on this app. The host was the nicest ever. She was extremely friendly and helpful to any question that we had. I give her a 5 stars! Can’t wait to find another reason to go back. We went there for graduation at VT and found ourselves not waiting to get back home to relax and enjoy! Beautiful area of Virginia.

Brenda and Gordon have a great place! Their home is beautiful and they were very welcoming. They gave me a tour of the property which has acres and acres of trails to walk with cows, goats, horses, wild deer, wild turkey...it was amazing! Definitely a great place to get away. The wifi worked well for working remotely and it is 15 minutes from town with many restaurants and shops. It is also only 30-45 minutes to some great mountain biking and hiking trails. Highly recommend!

My sister and neice and I stayed at Key To Stay's condo for 2 nights in February. I had previously stayed at that same condo in November. I originally gave this condo a great review, which is why we rented it again. This visit had a few maintenance issues, but they were eventually resolved and Key To Stay made sure to reach out to me personally to make sure we were satisfied. I do appreciate their commitment to making sure they improve the guest experience. I will definitely be staying here again after the wonderful customer service. The location is beautiful, the lake view can't be beat. The area has some great places to eat also.

We love Peggy’s place. The view is wonderful, and everything well apportioned. This is our second stay and would gladly visit again.

We had a great stay at the lake house. The house was clean and well appointed. Communication with the host was effortless. We have stayed at this property before and were pleased to see many upgrades, particularly the upstairs bedroom and the master space downstairs. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway to the lake.

My fiancé and I absolutely adore Kyle’s place. Caryn was very accommodating and friendly. Would highly recommend for anyone and everyone!

Alisha was very helpful with all the questions I threw at her, before and during our stay. it was very peaceful and private. we loved the movie room. it was wonderful to be able to see movies on a big screen. would definitely recommend if you are staying in the area.

My family and I enjoyed this wondrous and most memorable accommodation. The house was pristine with thoughtfully curated. This home is not just beautiful—it’s accommodating in the truest sense of the word. A layout not just designed, but composed. I’d recommend a thousand times over to those looking to settle back into the values of capturing moments in time to nestle with family. Traveling in from the Northeast took us through a rugged mountain park,vaulted, wild, and more stunning than any photo could capture. Towering trees and mossy cliffs framed the narrow, winding roads, which clung tightly to steep edges. It’s not for the faint of heart, so if heights make you uneasy, check your route in advance. But the view, the journey, and the destination? Unforgettable!! Absolute fave this far!!!!❤️❤️❤️

After driving up a completely private and secluded road , we pulled upon a private, hilltop home with a stunning view of the Virginia mountains . The outside sitting area with supplied chairs, bbq and fire pit was a bonus . The inside of the home was renovated , cozy and very clean . The kitchen was fully stocked, making cooking easy . Bryan was very responsive and friendly . We will definitely tent again if we find ourselves in Virginia again . Thank you Bryan !

One of the best if not the best AirB&b I’ve experienced in the states. Amazing new construction with ample space and great natural light. Every room in the house was spectacular with great amenities. My family felt right at home from day one. Location was as perfect for what we were looking for and surroundings were beautiful and private. Brandon is the cherry on top with great communication and clear instructions. Brandon fixed a scheduling issue with in the day of booking. Brandon was honest, understanding, and respectful during the resolution. I can’t recommend this home enough for your next SML trip.

Fantastic place with great history. I can tell Jim is a great steward of the grounds. this is a place that really needs to be experienced 2-4 weeks at a time. My little girl was scared when we pet the horses but the picnic at the top of the meadow made up for it! I encourage all to really explore the grounds. word of advice for those city folks out there, come in from the west side through bent mountain. The east side entrance from can be treacherous. thank me later and unwind!

What an amazing stay! Beautiful views, comfortable beds, and spotless accommodations with all linens, towels and necessities provided. Amanda and Armand made sure that their guests received a five-star experience even down to their fast response time to our inquiries. We enjoyed all of the offered amenities, heated pool with views, a dock right outside our door, a nice restaurant right next door, and lots of walking areas to enjoy the stunning views of SML. We would definitely return over and over again!

This was our first time staying at Mick’s and our second at Bernard’s Landing. We LOVE the area and LOVED the place. The porch swing was my absolute favorite- the perfect place to watch the sunrise. Mick was very proactive with our needs, everything was laid out in the instructions, no questions needed. The decor was just like the photos and was perfect for our needs. It was clean and cozy. We are already looking forward to planning next year’s anniversary.

A lovely view of the lake! Our Airbnb was extremely clean. I appreciated the attention to detail & cleanliness in the kitchen items, fridge/filtered water & bathrooms. Would visit again!

The condo was perfect for what we were looking for. We enjoyed coffee every morning on the deck overlooking the lake. The pool was great and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

We had an amazing stay at SML. The location was very clean and well maintained. Everything that was advertised was accurate. There were tons of activities available around the lake. We would highly recommend this location to anyone interested in a peaceful stay near Roanoke, VA.

The view from the condo was stunning and beautiful, just like John’s photos online. The detailed directions and descriptions were very accurate. John welcomed us during check-in and thanked us when we left. It would be nice to have screens on the sliding glass door. Definitely would consider staying there in the future!
