Vacation rentals with a patio in Franklin County

My sister and neice and I stayed at Key To Stay's condo for 2 nights in February. I had previously stayed at that same condo in November. I originally gave this condo a great review, which is why we rented it again. This visit had a few maintenance issues, but they were eventually resolved and Key To Stay made sure to reach out to me personally to make sure we were satisfied. I do appreciate their commitment to making sure they improve the guest experience. I will definitely be staying here again after the wonderful customer service. The location is beautiful, the lake view can't be beat. The area has some great places to eat also.

The home was beautiful and the amenities were great. The kitchen was fully stocked with supplies and spices. The home was very clean and very cozy. There is a neighboring town about 15 minutes away, so there were plenty of food and grocery options. It is a perfect remote get away.

The only thing wrong with our stay was it wasn't long enough! The condo is beautiful and clean. There was a welcome cheese and cracker tray in the refrigerator for us when we arrived. The lake is gorgeous and we could have sat on the balcony watching the boats come in all day if we didn't have places to be :) There were 8 deer munching on the grass!!! It was the perfect place to stay to see a show at The Harvester. Great coffee/breakfast place just 10 min away, also on the lake. I can't wait to come back when it is a little warmer and take out the paddle board :)

We can't say enough wonderful things about this property or the hosts. Our hosts were extremely responsive and every last detail was taken care of. The house is very well set up with pantry staples, a fully equipped kitchen, and spotless rooms. There were even games and toys for kids (and adults!). The location is beautiful; we couldn't have asked for more!

This place was absolutely worth a weekend with family away from home. Luca was incredibly responsive and went over and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. If you are elderly or have small children, it’s a bit of a climb to get back to the house from the lake, but it helped keep our blood flowing! Lovely place regardless!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful property! The location on the water was absolutely perfect, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. We especially loved the outdoor areas, which were perfect for relaxing and chatting together. Whether it was morning coffee or evening conversations, the outdoor spaces made our stay extra special. Highly recommend this place for a serene and memorable getaway!

We had our family Thanksgiving here with people congregating from all over the east coast and local family members stopping by for the day. The house has lovely views, a nice dock that was great for lounging, and a fenced in area that is great for dogs. The house itself is large and well laid out, so even with everyone together we all had our own spaces which kept us from stepping on top of one another. We especially loved the sunroom office area with the large beanbag chair. The kitchen, dining room, and grill worked out well for our Thanksgiving meal. Kathy was very kind, accommodating, and prompt in her responses. The one downside (loosely used) is that being late fall in Virginia we couldn't take full advantage of the lake, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards. We had to settle for relaxing beside the fireplace with a good book, which was not a bad trade off. We might just have to book again in the summer so that we can catch up on what we missed this trip.

Great host. Very responsive. The place was extremely well maintained and very clean. Everything worked exactly as it should from the keyless entry to Internet access. The property is located .5 miles down a gravel road, which is rustic and dusty. The area is rustic as well. The price was a little high for a manufactured home but it was a holiday weekend.

Absolutely great place to stay! Exactly as described and it was beautiful. The deck is the perfect place to hang out with your family with the grill and all the space. Inside was cozy and well kept. Stocked with games and books for kids. Joseph was responsive and a great host. We are definitely looking forward to booking with him again!

This was our first time staying in an Airbnb and the first time we visited SML. Our experience was great from our initial inquiry regarding boat launching, docking, and trailer storage at check-in to our departure 5 days later. Armand obtained the info and map links from the security office that we needed to launch the boat and store the trailer. which made it easy once we arrived. The view from the condo is beautiful any time of the day, but the view of the sunrise across the lake behind the mountain is absolutely stunning. We were very comfortable and felt at home during our stay. If you have a boat, bring it, you can’t beat waking down to the dock on this water playground with marinas, restaurants, beaches, and shops to visit. We’re looking forward to returning in the Spring.

We had a great stay at this beautiful, cozy condo! The views of Smith Mountain Lake were gorgeous, and we spent a lot of time just relaxing and taking it all in. The option to choose between the screened-in and open patios was so nice to have. The condo was very clean, and the area around it is beautiful—perfect for a quiet getaway. Leslie and Craig were responsive and helpful, especially when I needed to come back to grab a few things I left behind after check-out. We also appreciated the private dock box, which had nice camping chairs for sitting by the water and floats for swimming. The condo was cozy, with plenty of blankets to keep things comfortable. We hope to be back again!

You will be thrilled if you stay at Patricia’s condo. Amazing views of the lake! Comfortable bed, and she really puts wonderful touches throughout her place to make you feel at home. We will definitely be booking this condo again!

Top-notch hospitality! Alan & Corrine have their customer service and communication down to a science. They are incredibly responsive, proactive, and went above and beyond throughout the entire process. Before my stay, they even sent a detailed digital guide covering everything—check-in instructions, appliance usage, local recommendations, important contacts, the check-out process, and more! It made everything seamless and stress-free. The space itself was exactly what I was looking for—a peaceful retreat with a lovely view, yet still close to cute shops and yummy restaurants. I wanted a place where I could truly unwind, get creative, and recharge. I brought my watercolors and a record player, hoping to find an inspiring space & this was perfect for that! I honestly don’t think they could have done a better job. Every host should take notes from these two! Thanks so much! :)

This was a solo get away trip for me to get familiar with SML, where I had never been before. It was a perfect time of year to visit, the weather was ideal and it was not busy at the lake. The property was exactly as described, very comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities you could possibly want or need. Ben was very responsive, and personable, and checkin and out was easy. I never had any questions or issues or a needed to communicate with Ben because it was all very well detailed in the instructions however, I did ask for early checkin and he quickly let me know that I was welcome to checkin as soon as I arrived at SML. The view from the property was incredible, right on the water with the mountain in the background. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunrise and also using the patio lights at night and the Blackstone grill. I did not use the common amenities or being a boat however it was made easy to do so. I highly recommend staying here if you plan to be at SML.

We totally fell in love with Lauren's place! It was clean, peaceful, and beautifully decorated. This was our second visit to Smith Mountain Lake, as we are starting to get a feel for possibly retiring to that area. Lauren answered any questions we had quickly. We would definitely like to go back!

Thoroughly enjoyed our week stay in this unit. Beautifully decorated, appliances were fantastic. Nice that she provides some basics such as foil, salt, assorted spices, etc We enjoyed the amenities of Bernard’s landing. Pickleball, swimming pools and beaches. Easy to dock our boat at curtesy docks. We will definitely come back. Thank you Margaret for your quick response to any of our questions. Hope to be back sooner than later

Beautiful condo with plenty of space. The bedrooms were large and well equipped. The kitchen was extremely well equipped - one of the best we’ve ever experienced. The condo was very clean and comfortable. Beds and linens were very comfortable. A wonderful stay!
