Vacation rentals with a kayak in Franklin County

We had a great stay! Very peaceful and relaxing. Caitlyn is a tremendous host.

This was our first trip to Smith Mountain Lake. We were in town for a wedding at Water’s Edge Country Club. This location was very close to the country club and wedding activities. The home has a beautiful lake view on a quiet cove without speed boats and jet skis racing by all day. The dock was convenient for swimming and relaxing. I had to call host Ronald upon check in with a couple questions and he immediately called back. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and appliances. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms stocked with towels. The only reason for the 4 star on location has nothing to do with the home, however there is a marina with a boneyard of heavy equipment that you pass through coming and going. Overall we had a great weekend.

I must say this was my first experience with ever staying in a Airbnb and wanted a change from a hotel and very glad we decided to give this a try. Tammy was an absolutely awesome host very responsive and a very nice lady. The description matches everything. Very beautiful property and very clean.

What a beautiful place!! Our whole family loved the deck in the mornings! We had wonderful weather, and the views were just gorgeous as we enjoyed our coffee outside. 😍 Great basement with so many games to enjoy and room for everyone! The gravel driveway is very steep, but thankfully it didn’t rain while we were there, so we had no trouble getting in/out. Very clean, well-stocked house. The closest grocery store is about 30 minutes away, so maybe stop by on your way in. We would love to stay again sometime!

Great host. Very responsive. The place was extremely well maintained and very clean. Everything worked exactly as it should from the keyless entry to Internet access. The property is located .5 miles down a gravel road, which is rustic and dusty. The area is rustic as well. The price was a little high for a manufactured home but it was a holiday weekend.

We had a great time staying at the cabin for a weekend get away with ladies from our Bible study! We loved all the various places to sit and relax, especially the screened in porch and down on the dock. It was exactly what we were looking for and we would definitely recommend this cabin as a great place to stay!

Kelsey was probably one of my favorite hosts ever, easy to communicate with. I booked on short notice she was patient, helpful compassionate and understanding she responded quickly. I never had to wait for any length of time for her to respond. We rented a different place first, they weren’t very helpful at all or even willing to help…I was majorly disappointed & stressed Kelsey was exactly what I needed, she was helpful and accommodating. We traveled from Idaho, to attend my mother’s funeral. Kelsey was very friendly, sympathetic, understanding she was so kind and gracious to us. The absolute perfect host. A perfect home allowing us focus time to face our loss, grief & family bonding. Rather than stress over our accommodations. The house was PERFECT clean, quiet so well stocked I didn’t have to worry about “anything” or if I had forgot something all my focus was on my mom’s siblings, my kids, my husband…. I was able to focus on my family. Thank you

It was great stay at LAKE Chez At At - Private Lakefront Home, house was found as it’s described, neat and clean, adequate amenities supply for our family members. Kids enjoyed the fire pit by making s’more. The kayaking on the lake was awesome experience for us. We really had wonderful time there. Highly recommend the house and will be rent again if we go around that area.

Lovely peaceful stay!

What a lovely little a-frame house! Perfect for a weekend getaway. The house is a little quirky - only one bedroom has a door and wall for privacy. The other bedroom is a loft upstairs with a curtain and the basement is down a small spiral staircase that is open to the main floor. Great for friends or a young family, but maybe not older folks because of the spiral staircase. Two back decks (not screened), and an additional separate screened-in porch at the front of the house. Steep, long staircase down to your own private dock, with plenty of room for boat parking or other activities! The house is on a nice, quiet inlet at the top of the lake, so the boat traffic wasn't an issue or noisy at all on a holiday weekend. Conveniently 10 minutes away from the Food Lion. All of the amenities were great! We especially loved the access to kayaks and SUP. I would definitely stay here again!

Our family had a fabulous time at One the Rocks. The setting was gorgeous, the kids loved the boathouse set-up and the house was very well stocked with everything we needed to make Easter dinner. We loved having the flexibility of the other cabin when our group grew. We hope to come back next year!

Beautiful home right on the water with a small view of the lake. Water depth at our time of stay at the dock was 18ft checked with my boats depth finder. Beautiful dock with plenty of room to relax and dock up your boat so you don’t have to out it in and take out every time you want to go for a ride. Overall beautiful home and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay for a small family or couple getaway.
