Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Franklin County

My family and I loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat!!!

A wonderful home with beautiful view of the lake and a two level massive back deck to view it from, with the lower level covered. House was very clean. We dealt with a snow storm and power outage while we were there and the staff with Blue Ridge Escapes was very proactive in checking on us and responsive to our questions. 5 stars!

This place was absolutely worth a weekend with family away from home. Luca was incredibly responsive and went over and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. If you are elderly or have small children, it’s a bit of a climb to get back to the house from the lake, but it helped keep our blood flowing! Lovely place regardless!

Jessi’s Air bnb exceeded my expectations! The house its self was beautiful, and the inside was very well kept up! The back deck made the perfect lounging area, as well as the boat dock! We enjoyed lots of sunshine at the dock! Jessi’s communication was amazing, checking in on us, keeping up to date and her response time made questions answerable within minutes! The location of the house is 15 minutes from restaurants which made it very accessible! The house is perched back into a cove, which made it very peaceful and relaxing! I would highly recommend Jessi’s air bnb!

This was our second stay at Kate's beautiful home and we are already planning a third. Quiet and peaceful with absolutely beautiful views of the cove and lake beyond. The house is sparkling clean and well appointed with everything you could possibly need. Even though the weather didn't cooperate we found plenty to do to keep ourselves entertained.

So Beautiful! So Peaceful! We enjoyed every second in this beautiful home, on a serene lake, surrounded by nature and love. Rachael was an amazing host. We were coming to town for a vow renewal ceremony. Rachael was responsive and super helpful when it came to logistics and flexible with the check-in, so we could get to the ceremony on time. The home was lovely and pristine! It had everything we needed to cook and have fun. The 2 decks and dock framed the lake beautifully. The kayaks were a big hit and all the board games kept us entertained. We loved our time in the home and on the lake! We would definitely book again!

Overall fantastic stay - one of the better Airbnbs we’ve stayed at. They’ve thought of everything - literally. So well thought out on the amenities. Loved the hot tub, game room, movie theater, fire pit and dock was perfect for our boat rental from just across the river Short 10 minute drive to a ton or restaurants and activities Will be our go to SML vacation spot!

Great host. Very responsive. The place was extremely well maintained and very clean. Everything worked exactly as it should from the keyless entry to Internet access. The property is located .5 miles down a gravel road, which is rustic and dusty. The area is rustic as well. The price was a little high for a manufactured home but it was a holiday weekend.

The apartment is very comfortable and cozy feeling. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The kitchen and bathroom were both well stocked with anything we might need. Very nice outdoor sitting and eating area as well. We had such a relaxing time!

The home was beautiful and the amenities were great. The kitchen was fully stocked with supplies and spices. The home was very clean and very cozy. There is a neighboring town about 15 minutes away, so there were plenty of food and grocery options. It is a perfect remote get away.

It's always a pleasure to stay at Miss Susan and Mr. Tom's charming bed and breakfast. It is beyond comfortable and inviting. The breakfast muffins were just wonderful 😊

This was the perfect place to stay. Very clean and well equipped. Two private bedrooms and a large living room. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you could need. Having a regular coffee maker and a Keurig is a great touch. It is a very private and quiet place to stay. Will definitely try to stay here again the next time I’m in the area.

We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend stay at the cabin. The surroundings are beautiful and had we been in the area to enjoy ‘lake life’ this cabin would be a perfect fit. We were in the area to visit some museums in Roanoke and usually stay in hotels, but our dogs tend to bark and that bothers the other guests. As the cabin is dog friendly, we were able to crate them for a little while, while we enjoyed our day. Our host provided plenty of towels for our use, though we were surprised that there were no washcloths provided. When I mentioned this to our host, she said they’d take that recommendation for future guests. I’d also suggest that a box of tissues would be a nice addition (fortunately we had one in the car). But this is nitpicking, really. Bottom line - it’s a beautiful cabin and the surroundings are the same. Any lake loving boater would be right at home. And our host was friendly and communicative.

Kate's house in Penhook is gorgeous! The views of Mountain Mountain Lake from the home are truly stunning. The area around the airbb is quite remote, so ensure you have all your needs before arriving, but as long as you do there is no need to leave once there! There was a cleaning miscommunication out of Kate's control before we arrived and she handled the situation with above and beyond hospitality. We felt so supported and grateful. This house has plenty of room, a good kitchen for cooking, a cozy wood burning fireplace and nice large dining table for gathering, in addition to both a deck and a dock. We definitely hope to come back in the summer!

Stayed with large family and had plenty of space for everyone. Very comfortable place that feels like home and had everything we needed. We were so grateful during snowy/ice weather that Eric checked up on us and put salt down the driveway to make sure we were ok and safe. Beautiful and peaceful views that we were sad to say goodbye to. We all really enjoyed our stay and would come back!

The land around the cabin was gorgeous, a great place for our dogs to run and play. The cabin had a really cool vintage vibe with a wonderful screened in porch that was perfect for reading and relaxing with the calming sounds of nature. The Smith River a great place for fishing was within a 10 minute drive. Would definitely love to make this an annual trip destination.

Melba's little cabin is amazing. Don't just stay somewhere nice, stay somewhere unique and wonderful! From the custom details in the house to the adorable animals just across the fence (especially the little pig), this cabin was a heartwarming, peaceful experience we'll never forget. Close to great dining, too and of course Smith Mountain Lake. Thank you, Melba and family. We hope to come back.

This cabin was a very nice place to stay. It was clean and had everything we needed. There were 3 of us and it was perfect. My youngest son loved the loft. The host is extremely responsive and very friendly. You are staying on the host's property (their residence is across the driveway) but we found them to be very hospitable and friendly yet left us alone. We loved the outdoor area with lights and the fire pit. We were there primarily to attend the a Nascar race in Martinsville but I would go back again because there is a ton to do in the area.

Cabin is perfect, feels secluded in yard with the creek running beside. But you are about 10-15 minutes away from anything in Roanoke. Yard is great for the dogs to run around and explore, with a fence high enough to keep our one escape artist dog contained. Everything was very clean and cozy inside. One thing I noticed that isn't clear in the listing, is that for one bedroom there is not a door between the bed and bathroom. Could be uncomfortable if sharing that room with another person.

Very comfortable stay super close to Cave Spring. We had everything we needed and loved being able to spread out and have the fenced in yard for our dog. Rhonda was extremely proactive with instructions.
