From the moment you enter this cottage, you are transported to a place of unbelievable tranquility and calm. The view of the ocean greets you like a soothing hug, and you immediately know you’ve entered a very special place. The house was beautifully appointed with everything you could need or want. It was super clean and tidy, uncluttered but cozy. Whether you sat on the deck or cuddled up in a warm blanket in the window nook, the ocean views kept calling to us to take another look. We even cancelled dinner reservations and decided to cook at the house so that we could drink in more of this wondrous coastline. There was a well-stocked market not too far where we could get provisions. There is also a private beach access for those who like to wander in the sand. If you are looking for one of the best seaside experiences of your life, do not scroll by this beautiful cottage. It went way beyond any of our expectations, and I’m sure it won’t disappoint you either.

I was so sad to leave the River House! It was peaceful and private even with hosts on the same plot of land. The house is beautiful and full of thoughtful details, and we loved spending slow mornings reading and playing piano taking in the natural surroundings. We originally chose to stay here because the house itself looked amazing and like a lot of fun for our dogs to play in the River, then we fell in love with Ukiah too. We hope to come back and kayak when it’s warmer out. Thanks for having us

A spacious, beautiful house with amazing views of the ocean, cove and beach.

Beautiful location right on the coast. Wonderful views from the deck and hot tub. You didn’t need to leave the property feel like you were on vacation.

We are in love with this neighborhood, the kids loved having their own upstairs space, the neighbors are so welcoming and knowledgeable, the yard was perfect for our dogs, the scenery with ocean views and wildlife frolicking about it unreal, and we absolutely love Ft Bragg including the botanical gardens and bakery within a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive. We hope to be back another time!

I almost hesitate to say how great this place was so that it stays a hidden gem that’s available to us for stay after stay. It has stunning views from every window, is more spacious than it appears in photos and exceeded all of our expectations. Particularly fabulous were all the stunning houseplants - including some two stories high - that were all healthy and happy. We could not believe this is a dog friendly place - there wasn’t any evidence that a dog had ever been inside. Immaculate. Ted was responsive and friendly. We hope to be back soon!!

Great Views, great place. Beach is amazing. Loved the stay and would recommend it. Well stocked kitchen with cast iron pans that are so much better than the usual rental scratched non-stick pans you find in other places. Just missing an ice cream scoop. Some of the linens were scratchy. I think they were microfiber which were once super soft but when washed repeatedly the synthetic fibers break and become scratchy. The bedding in the TV room we had to stash in the downstairs closet because of the obnoxious smell. I feel like the cleaning service must have spilled a bottle of Febreeze in the wash or something. The hot tub was hot and had a great view. Everything worked and was clean. The rental book was very detailed with directions, how to access the beach and use things with the exception of the downstairs TV which had a baffling smart TV like none I’ve ever used. The upstairs Roku TV worked great. The house was easy to keep a comfortable temp. As far as rental go this

The location, the view, the outdoor sitting area, the hike to the beach, and the hike around the huge property were all wonderful and we'd go there again. It was isolated, a long ways from any other home, and far off the highway for silent peace with just the sound of the waves. The home was unique and we'd stay there again!

This place was beautiful, homey, relaxing, and all around an exceptional stay. Lisa, the host, was very responsive and kind. The place is in the heart of Mendocino Village yet very quiet and private feeling. We will stay again!

An unbelievable experience - the place has an unbeatable view and is just stunning all around. Can’t say enough good things about this Airbnb - would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a relaxing getaway.

Brenda and Butch were very welcoming and helpful with directions. The property is beautiful and better than imagined. Spent lots of time relaxing, floating and swimming at the river. (Chevy Silverado 4x4 made the river access very easy.) We also loved fishing for bass in Brenda’s pond! The cabin had all the essentials. We were able to make wonderful meals on the bbq with a breathtaking view. A bald eagle frequented the valley and we held hope to see a bear, but only saw tracks. We really enjoyed our stay at Carley Ranch and we’ll be back! Thanks Brenda and Butch!

Our overall stay was absolutely amazing — we couldn’t have asked for a better place. We brought our little ones with us, and ever since the trip, they’ve been begging to go back. The kitchen was perfect for cooking, the views were breathtaking, and we will definitely be returning!

Loved our stay and the house was fantastic, the couches and chairs in the common areas were very uncomfortable and I wish there was an outdoor relaxing/ eating space. The views and beach access were amazing.

We were in Fort Bragg for a very special weekend and Karyn's home took our celebration to the next level. It's beautiful, warm and homey. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you may need. The fire pit, view, deck, comfortable beds .. it is truly the perfect setting and heals the soul. Karyn is amazing! Very responsive and kind. Ultimate host! My family and I decided that we are going to make this trip again and will only stay here. If you are thinking of vacationing here, don't second guess it...Do it!!!!

Wendy’s place is absolutely spectacular. It was a well needed private & quiet time with a private lake among vineyards! We have started planning when to come back here again as soon as we stepped in. Wendy is also such an amazing host. She went above and beyond to help plan for my wife’s birthday. I can’t recommend this property enough! You must experience it!

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Kevin’s place and it won’t be the last! Perfect location next to the lodge (walkable for meals and drinks) but completely private and very well equipped to never leave if you don’t want to!

Beautiful home perfectly situated on a quiet cul-de-sac. Gorgeous ocean views with a lovely deck with dining table and outdoor seating area with gas fireplace. Spacious kitchen and living room - plenty of space for our family with two young kids.

Wow! This home has an exceptional setting - the spectacular views of the ocean from the great room are mesmerizing. The master bedroom and lower level bedrooms all have gorgeous views of the ocean as well. The Ocean Bluff Trail passes right behind the house, making it so convenient to explore the coast. Great for nature lovers - we saw seals, deer, rabbits, fox, and many varieties of sea birds. Also the home is pet friendly and our dog loved it! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Such an amazing stay and visit! We had an extremely relaxing a peaceful stay at Sea Ranch. The house is so welcoming and stocked with anything you could need. Everything is so thoughtful, and well appointed, you feel like you are at home. We loved all the little details about this place that is such a treasure and clearly so loved. We saw so many animals, and could easily walk to the beach. You can hear the Ocean from your window and enjoy your coffee in the morning watching the ocean. Honestly, Nate and Nora’s place is our new favorite at sea ranch. Hosts are so nice and quick to respond. We had a lovely time relaxing, and being out in nature. Beautiful and super clean house in the magical woods. We loved the window seats everywhere and watching the deer visit every day. The beds are very comfy and towels plush. We enjoyed the sauna and hot tub under the stars. Some aspects of the house are a little more rustic than modern, but still very comfortable and cozy. The owner is super responsive and thoughtful and obviously cares a lot about her home.

Had a wonderful stay at Willa and Craig's home. The house is beautiful and had plenty of space to spread out. The loft was a hit with our five year old. Location is great, roughly five minute drive to Gualala and a short walk to the beach. Would stay again!
