Wonderful hosts! Super friendly and responsive. Very accommodating and on top of everything. The location was beautiful, especially the trail to the river. The cabin was perfect for my stay and very cozy. I would definitely recommend!

AMAZING VIEWS! The sunrises and sunsets were just amazing at Stephanie's place in Salida.... I've stayed at many "one-person" AirBNB setups, this was as good as it gets! Just a really nice little place, but enough space to set up my computer, have my little kitchen nook, and then the porch outside is INCREDIBLE, huge amount of space, was able to do yoga out there and enjoy the great views and mountain air! It's also walkable to anywhere... I enjoyed walking down to the "duck pond" (Sands) by the Arkansas river, another beautiful place to be anytime of day, but particularly at sunrise/sunset, and while Salida is small, there are some great shops downtown to explore! All in all highly recommend and hope to stay again... Stephanie is a very responsive host, and actually replaced the coffee table on the deck while I was there with a newer version, which was a great sign as to how she keeps the place up to date! 10 stars out of 5!

Perfect for me. Private, quiet, and clean. Kitchen had everything I needed for some modest cooking. Upstairs bedroom with great views and patio. Be aware it has a spiral staircase - might not work for some. Parking is under the bedroom patio, just off the alley and next to living room for fast loading and unloading, great for skiing. Visited for a month and all was positive. Would stay again.

Great stay at this updated cabin near Monarch. The unit was as advertised/pictured and clean. It's in the "town" of Garfield, which is essentially a small neighborhood of homes about 5 min drive from the ski resort. As others have mentioned, there are no shops/services in Garfield, so you'll want to bring your supplies or make the 20 min drive down to Salida. Knowing that, we loved the location and ease to the slopes, and we didn't mind the short drive into town or over to Mount Princeton Hot springs. The hot tub works well and is a nice touch on a cold day/evening. There is only one bathroom and the shower is pretty tight, which worked fine for us, but something to be mindful of depending on your guests. The host was very communicative and it's nice to have the electronic keypad so that you don't have to worry about keeping track of keys.
