Laura’s Cottage is a fantastic base for exploring São Jorge Island. The house is thoughtfully designed, highly functional, and exceptionally well-equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The beds and mattresses were particularly noteworthy — very comfortable and clearly chosen with care. One of the highlights was waking up in the main bedroom to a breathtaking, unobstructed view of Pico Island (weather permitting) — a truly memorable experience. Germano was an outstanding host: proactive, thoughtful, and incredibly responsive. He reached out well in advance with a wealth of useful tips about what to see and do on the island, which made a real difference in shaping our trip. Throughout our stay, he remained attentive and helpful without ever being intrusive. I honestly couldn't recommend Laura’s Cottage more — it was a perfect stay in a magical place.

We had a pleasant stay at Liz’s house. We enjoyed the sunset and dining in the patio with views on Faial, Sao Jorge & the Pico mountain !

We had an amazing few day's at Jorge's place. Horta is a fantastic location and the house is nestled into the hillside with fabulous views over the town and harbour. Perfectly located just a few minutes walk into town. We loved to sit eating our breakfast in the morning enjoying the wonderful view and star gazing at night after enjoying the island of Faial. Not to be missed! Hiking around the Caldeira, Capelinhos & Whale watching were all highlights for us! We would love to come back for a few more days....maybe next year :)

There were six of us in Casa Comprida for a week. The house is a bit off the beaten track and therefore very quiet. From the airport, it was still only 20 minutes by car. The house was just right for our needs. There was a nice, impeccable equipment and we also had enough space for six. The view from the terrace is especially beautiful. Upon arrival, we noticed that the coffee maker was not working properly. Our host Zilda was always easily accessible and responded in no time. So, we had a new, working coffee maker the very next day. In addition, Zilda was very keen to ensure that we had a pleasant stay and always thought of our well-being. We were completely satisfied and can highly recommend the house, especially for a family vacation!

Lovely home is a great spot close to the main town of Madelana and number of good walks nearby. The pool was perfect for a sunny day and many friendly cats! Wifi was a bit in and out but the whole island seems to be like that. Plenty to do offline anyway.

Nice personal welcome and farewell by Andreia. She was always available. Parking right outside the door. Apartment equipped with everything you need. We felt very comfortable.

Monica was flexible when we had to twice ask to change our dates. The apartment is intriguing, a mix between 150-year-old building, but with a very modern, spotless interior. The location is beyond brilliant, steps away from Porto Pim beach and restaurants and a three-minute walk from the marina and downtown. We'll be back next year!

The apartment is large and clean. There is everything you need. The view from the roof terrace is magnificent! Joao was always very accessible and even took us from the harbor to the apartment and back. The wipes were changed regularly and the garbage emptied. Only in the kitchen we missed some things such as Baking paper or plastic wrap. However, the shop is not far away and is open for a long time every day.

We had a very enjoyable time at this apartment in Urzilina. The location was great and a good base for getting around the island. Also there were many good restaurants nearby. Joselina was a super great host…very friendly and knowledgeable about the island. She went out of her way to share many good tips about the island. She was always very communicative throughout our stay. The accommodation was very modern and spotless with great amenities. The bed was very comfortable and we had some of our best sleeps in the Azores. We would certainly come back on our next trip to Sao Jorge. Highly recommended.

It was our 3rd stay at Agostinhas place, very good location 2 mins from the main Street, very quiet, beautiful garden, nicely decorated flat with lots of history of Faial. The host family is fantastic all around. We will be back next year!

My few days at Zé's were wonderful. Located on a quasi dead end, it is quiet and facing the sea and Pico. Rita made everything comfortable and flexible and it was a pleasure interacting with her and her lovely family. From a visitor's point of view, the casa is well located on São Jorge, with shopping and restaurants not too far, and a lot to visit without driving too long.

Beautiful ground-level apartment that had everything I needed for my 4-day stay. As nice as the accommodation is, the best thing about the place might be the host Florencio who lives upstairs. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet Florencio, as he was called out of town to help with a friend’s medical emergency. However, he was very attentive to making sure I had good directions, local information, etc. before I arrived and was easily reachable for my questions and responded quickly during my stay. Five stars for the place, ten stars for Florencio —- highly recommended !

Perfect location in the heart of Horta. Easy to walk to the marina and all the restaurants and bars. The apartment was spotless and extremely spacious. Host is very responsive and extremely helpful. Excellent home for your visit to Faial.

Eunice was an amazing host. She was always responsive, helpful and very kind. We had issues with the lock box and within 10 min she had the matter solved. We would definitely recommend Eunice as a host!

Thanks for a lovely stay in Madelana. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. The garden was a big bonus. Easy to walk to restaurants in town and very close to ferry terminal if you’re travelling to or from Faial.

Great stay on Failal! The accommodation has everything you need, it is clean and is nicely located in ‘Varadouro‘; you can even walk to the natural pool by the sea. The host will give you a lot of information and tips and is easily accessible! Recommended!!

Beautiful small apartment with good kitchen. Just outside of the city. Would have stayed longer if I had more vacation days.
