A great stay. Stayed for two nights in this lovely and peaceful spot out in the countryside. All the facilities you need are available and the whole apartment was clean, neat and tidy. Ross popped over one evening just to check all was ok. Highly recommended. Oh, and the pub down the road is well worth the short walk.

Immaculate little pod with everything you could need from a self catering place, down to tiny details in the bathroom like shampoo, conditioner and body wash, face cloths, a lovely smelling air freshener etc. The oven had a microwave built in so there was versatility when cooking and the terrace out the front is idyllic to sit and listen to the birds! The traffic noise amounts to one bus every 15 minutes and very little else. A real retreat! Jo met us on arrival and couldn’t have been more helpful. What a wonderful place to stay and I am only sad that it only lasted 2 nights. True, there aren’t many shops locally but if you want a quick pizza or a takeaway, the next village is about 1.5 miles away and good for any extras you might forget. Great little place on a working farm with lovely walks around and the old Abbey adjoining. Just fab!

A perfect stay, there was not a single negative thing I could say about this lovely place! We were looking for a peaceful retreat in beautiful surroundings and The Annexe delivered this fully. The decor felt both luxurious and homely, and there were plenty of practical features such as a light in the cool wardrobe. We brought our own ingredients and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment for us to prepare meals. We enjoyed walks in the fields and footpaths nearby; it is relatively remote but good for those who enjoy the faint sound of sheep, cows, and geese, and have a good pair of hiking boots. On a rainy day there are books, games, a smart TV, or fast WiFi for our own devices. And to top it all off you have a friendly, informative, and responsive host who went above and beyond our expectations. Book this place for a peaceful getaway in beautiful surroundings!

We just got back from Grosmont. Would highly recommend Sally who was a great host and the loft was also a great base. We had some great walks and would recommend The Angel pub, good beer plus a decent menu in the evening. We would definitely come back . Thank you again Sally Jane, Dave and Stamford.
