"Ynys" cottage

A peaceful and private cottage, the property was clean and a pleasure to spend time in. The lovely views of grazing animals, and no Wi-fi made it easy to truly relax. The hosts were friendly and easily contactable. Would recommend.

Lovely place. Enjoyed the small extras like the lovely cake! Felt very much like a cute retreat and very nicely decorated. Helen was warm and welcoming.

The image captures the striking façade of the Lower Lodge Gatehouse, marked by its castellated architecture and large portcullis-style gates. A gravel driveway leads to the entrance, while a vintage vehicle is positioned in the foreground, surrounded by lush greenery and open space.

Lower Lodge Gatehouse at Kentchurch, Dog Friendly

PaulRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Six of us stayed in the Lodge and we could not have wished for anything better. Three double rooms, all en-suite. Lovely quirky place, mixing old with new, very tastily done. The lodge was immaculate and spotlessly clean. Helen the housekeeper made contact via txt nearly every day to ensure everything was ok and we did not have any problems, which was a nice touch. Stairs to lounge and kitchen are steep, so if using stairs is a problem, then lower lodge is not for you. We were a party in our sixties and seventies and had no problem, but they are steep. Great surroundings and a lovely little pub that does food within easy walking distance. Can't recommend it enough and we will be going back

Characterful Grade II listed 3 bed cottage

Benjamin JamesRating, 5 stars6 days ago
My four friends and I stayed for a long weekend here for another friends wedding. There was plenty of room for us all to rest, prepare and have fun during our time with plenty of beds and bathrooms. The instructions provided were very clear and simple and we were able to quickly find the house and get comfortable inside. The house was extremely clean and well stocked for kitchen utensils and entertainment such as card and board games. Emma and Huw were very helpful and proactive in providing plenty of information about the immediate and surrounding areas and quick to answer a couple questions I had before the trip. Would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return with my friends to visit our newly married friend together in the future

Treveddw Farm Cabin

ChrisRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Fabulous ! The cabin ,as described, is situated in the farmyard. It was a delight to see the horses from the window, and the friendly chickens from the small, enclosed garden..(thanks for the eggs!) The local surroundings are outstandingly beautiful. I walked with Cara the Irish terrier ten minutes to a shady riverside location . A delight on a hot afternoon!" We drove 20 minutes to Skirrid the next day and climbed to the summit for fantastic views. There is much more more to explore, so will have to return. Highly recommended.
