Bunk with the Birds -kinda. Sleep in sight of the chickens in this tiny, rustic bunk house. 1/3 of the structure is for the chickens, the other 2/3 is for you - separated by glass. It's a chicken aquarium / PEEP SHOW! The Coop has 3 twins and a full-sized mattress. It is BYO Bedding so come with sheets and/or sleeping bag and pillows. There is a solar charger to charge small devices and run the lamp and fan. The structure is seasonally heated with a Porta Potty near-by, bring a flashlight!

Spacious vacation space!

Come enjoy our vacation rental! We're in a great neighborhood - close to Duluth's Spirit Mountain skiing & biking, the retail district, and lots of things to do and see! The apartment has a large living room, huge deck, full kitchen, full bath, and two separate bedrooms. This is the upper unit in the building. As such, this isn't an appropriate space for anyone with little kids that run around - as it would detract from the experience for the guests below.

This was our first trip to Duluth and this was a wonderful place to stay with our family of four. The house is beautiful and the location was the best of both worlds—private and peaceful on a river, but easy access to the city and great outdoor activities. The house has a great layout for families, a wonderful kitchen, and amazing outdoor spaces…especially the wood fire sauna overlooking the river!

This small home is a perfect place is you want to spend the days on the lake, or if you want to use it as a home base for your other Northwoods adventures. Be sure to read the description of amenities, such as not being able to pour water down the sink and a port-a-potty as an outhouse, but we weren’t at all bothered by these things. We got to hear loons and sit on the dock at sunset, followed by hours of card games in the living room. Would definitely recommend for the price of a tiny house on the lake is what you are looking for!

We had a great experience at The Vault! The house was very clean and had everything we needed and more: coffee maker, Keurig and Kpods, French Press, electric kettle and tea bags, large refrigerator with ice maker, plenty of dishes and silverware, laundry detergent, box fans, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, plenty of towels and washcloths. The host was very nice and helpful and quickly replied to messages. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this rental!

Melissa's property is very well-maintained and exactly as described. It was particularly clean. Someone obviously took great care in making sure it felt like you were the first to stay! Also, the communication was responsive, positive, and flexible. Would definitely stay again if visiting the Carlton area.

We had a wonderful stay! I was traveling with my 5-year-old and 3-year-old, and this place couldn’t have been more perfect for a family getaway. The kids loved spending time by the lake, playing with the extra toys and games on the property, and especially making s’mores by the fire at night. It was the kind of stay where you truly make lasting memories together. A special shoutout to Daniela. She was fantastic. Super attentive, quick to respond, and incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. Her personal touch made the whole experience even better. Duluth Studio w/ Sauna on Working Horse Farm!

Great place for a family to stay. The horses were gorgeous to look out onto in the morning and it was fun getting up close and personal with them. Ron let you come as close as you were comfortable and didn't push it if you wanted to stand back. The play structure was very fun for our 2 year old. We used the sauna every night we were there. 10/10 would recommend.
