Family-friendly vacation rentals in Dana Point

This home was amazing, spacious, and fully stocked in the kitchen with a side coffee bar! Outdoor pool, sauna and miniature golfing area. My family and I had an amazing time enjoying the long holiday weekend! David was a great host very responsive to all our questions. We will definitely be back!

Place was wonderful. Check in was ok. Directions was confusing around the place and map was not to helpful at all. Steven was great w/ communication.

Very nice place for rest and relaxation. Renee was very responsive to our messages. I recommend this place if you want to rest. The washer and dryer is a plus!

The place was located very close to the wine trail, which was ideal. We particularly loved that the backyard by the pool was fenced, which made relaxing with our dogs even more enjoyable.

Our recent stay at Michelle’s Airbnb in Leucadia, California, was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Michelle has thought of every detail to make her guests feel at home. The property is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and impeccably maintained, creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere that rivaled the coziness of our own home. The kitchen was a standout feature, fully stocked with everything needed to whip up almost any meal. From cookware to an impressive array of spices, we had all the tools to enjoy home-cooked dinners, which made our stay even more special. It’s rare to find such a well-equipped kitchen in a vacation rental! The location is perfect for soaking in the local culture. Right on the beach, we loved taking daily walks to explore the vibrant Leucadia community. The highlight, though, was watching the sunset every evening from the living room or deck—pure magic! We decided to come here on our babymoon. Check-in and check-out are a breeze. This is a very nice abode only a stone's throw away from the Oceanside Harbor! Comfortable space and a great view from the patio. Can hear the ocean waves from the room which is awesome. We did have an issue with ants the first night -- they were crawling on our bed and along the baseboard. The next day the owner came over with ant traps and that took care of them, but it wasn't the best first night's sleep. She did communicate well. The pool and hot tub area is very nice for relaxing. Definitely recommend for a family on vacation!

Very fun place, my daughter absolutely loved it. Proximity to Disney was perfect, quiet neighborhood. Dan was great, responsive, gave clear instructions, and the tree house had plenty of privacy. A truly unique and memorable stay!

Had an incredible experience. A short walk to the beach down stairs and a great walk path along the beach that takes you directly to the pier and downtown restaurants. We walked it the first day and soaked in the beauty and had a great food. The place was prefect! Had everything we needed and Linda was an amazing host! Went out of her way to make sure we had an amazing stay. Would highly recommend.

Right in between both piers gives you a lot of options just on the balboa peninsula, or just a straight shot to the beach! Really fun stay

This place was absolutely AMAZING!!!! Derek was a great host and very responsive and informative with his instructions. It was the perfect townhouse, location, experience, and environment for a getaway!

We had a wonderful stay with our dog! Fully fenced in yard, beautiful and peaceful and felt very private as well. We were greeted when we walked in with a bottle of wine and fruit/nuts from Kamilo's garden on the table, they were delicious! We met Kamilo in the driveway and chatted a bit, what a lovely person! He is super nice and friendly and we had a great conversation. The location is great! A few minutes drive from the beach and also from great restaurants and shops. Felt like a very safe, quiet neighborhood. It was so nice sitting outside even though it was cloudy/rainy during our visit. The place was super clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable bed and couch/bed. If you are visiting from within the USA, check out the plants that Kamilo sells! They are a great price and such a great selection! If we didnt live in Canada, and can't take live plants back :( we would have bought them all! We hope to make it back again to stay here, loved it!

Mimi’s beach house is exactly what our family wanted and needed for the week. The walkability to Carlsbad Village, how easy it was to go for a run along the beach every morning, its proximity to the beach - it was perfectly located. And then the house itself was wonderful - clean, had a fire pit for smores / an evening outside, beds were super comfortable. Will def be back again!

The property was exactly as described in the listing - clean, nicely furnished and ready for you to use. It is located close to the freeway (as mentioned in the listing) so there is a constant hum of traffic, however it is also located just a mile or two from downtown San Clemente and the various beaches, which is very convenient. Overall a great property to rent if you want to explore the San Clemente area.

I had a great stay at this Airbnb. The location is perfect—it’s in a nice, quiet neighborhood, but still just a short walk to tons of restaurants and the beach. The place itself was very clean and had plenty of space to relax. The bed was super comfortable, and the couch was great for lounging too. Anytime I had a question, the host was quick to respond and helpful. Overall, a really comfortable and convenient spot. I’d definitely stay here again!

Couldn’t be happier with our stay at Manu’s place. The location is perfect, the apartment is beautiful and has everything you need. Parking was easy, we always used the assigned spot right behind the building. Highly recommend and already rebooked for our next stay!

Diane was an ideal host. Great communicator and very responsive. The place was located close to the beach and walkable to restaurants in town. The second floor ocean view spotless place was spacious with plenty of natural light and privacy.

Five stars, 100%, A+! If you have the chance to stay here at Tonya’s beach cottage, don’t miss it! Perfectly appointed, clean & spare but warm and welcoming design and furnishings. Darling neighborhood with lovely walkable streets and a flower-lined pedestrian bridge leading to the beach a short 10 min walk away. And Tonya’s hospitality is truly a gift that she enjoys sharing with others!!! Gorgeous charcuterie board and a bottle of chilled wine were waiting for us upon arrival. And, by some magical combo of a lovely mattress, crisp cool sheets and ocean air, I experienced truly great sleep! Thank you so much Tonya!

Angela’s place was perfect for my short getaway. The studio apartment is beautifully decorated and tucked away into a private area. It was very clean and organized with every amenity you could want in a studio apartment. Most importantly the bed was super comfortable and I slept extremely well during my stay even on the first night. It is very close to the beach as well as an upscale shopping and dining district. And… Angela is an excellent host. She gave me a ton of privacy while at the same time making sure I had everything I needed. I hope to stay at her place again soon!!

Edmunds place was a super nice stay in one of our favorite beach towns! You could see and hear the ocean from either of the balconies and some windows. Other than the remote being harder to use and the steps there wasn’t much that was inconvenient about the stay. We would definitely stay again!

Very nice and cute house to stay in, I would aboslutely recommend! The kitchen is nicely stocked, the place was clean, and the couch and bed were comfy. You can occasionally hear the upstairs neighbors walking when in the bedroom, but you cannot hear them from the rest of the house. The house felt very spacious as well.
