Beach house vacation rentals in Dana Point

Mimi’s beach house is exactly what our family wanted and needed for the week. The walkability to Carlsbad Village, how easy it was to go for a run along the beach every morning, its proximity to the beach - it was perfectly located. And then the house itself was wonderful - clean, had a fire pit for smores / an evening outside, beds were super comfortable. Will def be back again!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here! We particularly enjoyed using the front patio to sit and enjoy morning coffee, while having the ambiance of the beach town. It was always sweet when people walking by would say good morning or just talk about the joys of the weather that day. This spot was also super close to the beach and we really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach and go back home within minutes. The proximity to a grocery store and dining options was also perfect.

Robert's place in San Clemente was great! Despite the heavily packed houses close together. It is still a very quiet neighborhood. Very close to the beach, unfortunately the walkway down to the beach was closed off due to potential landslide, so we had to walk a few streets up and down to get to the beach or drive. The house is clean, lots of space to eat outside.

Such an amazing place to stay on the island. Memories made!

This spot was great. Just steps from the beach and had bikes and beach gear we could use. Rich was super helpful and responsive. The garage access is pretty tight as described. We rented a full size car and were able to get it in with a second person outside the car to guide it in. Still very nice to have a spot that wasn’t street parking which could have been tough to find.

Very nice place, location was great. Host was very helpful and responsive. The house was very neat and organized. Will definitely come back to this Airbnb again highly recommended both for the host and the house.

Very nice and cute house to stay in, I would aboslutely recommend! The kitchen is nicely stocked, the place was clean, and the couch and bed were comfy. You can occasionally hear the upstairs neighbors walking when in the bedroom, but you cannot hear them from the rest of the house. The house felt very spacious as well.

The PERFECT place!! Location. Location. Location. Clean. Responsive. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. It had it all. Parking for 2nd vehicle was a challenge but really not that bad. Neighborhood was super safe and plenty to do and walking distance. Truly amazing in every way. Highly recommend.

I recently stayed at this beach house, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with the stunning ocean views. The house itself was immaculate, nicely decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I could possibly need. I especially loved the deck where my family and I enjoyed our morning coffee while watching the sunrise. The bedrooms were also cozy and comfortable. I appreciated the thoughtful touches, like coffee, snacks, and beach towels provided for our use. Casago management is also very responsive!

This beach house is everything and more. You won’t want to leave! We came out to celebrate my birthday and just relax for the holiday with local family. We had a great time. It was a bit chilly so we didn’t get to use the backyard as much as we would’ve liked but sitting in the living room with the door open and listening to the waves was priceless. Heather was so friendly and easy to communicate with. We had everything we needed. Dolphin and surfer watching every day and we even saw a whale. We will definitely be back!!! One tip: try to have a compact car so you can park in the driveway spot. Although, we never had trouble with street parking. My hiccup was the street sweep is early am and I was scared to get a ticket! Easy to work around though and well worth it for the location.

Anthony's place was great! He and Amanda were super communicative and the place was easy to get into and was exactly as described. We had a great stay. If you are unfamiliar with the Carlsbad area, as we are, there are a couple of helpful things to know: - there is quite a bit of street noise as the home is directly on the street across from the Pacific. - the beach directly across the street from the house is at the bottom of a bluff - there are quite a few stairs to climb down in order to reach the beach/water. - there is no beach across the street at high tide - the water comes all the way up to the bluff - there are great beaches about a half mile either direction from the home that are easier to access. None of this would have changed our decision to stay, but would've been good to know if we were more familiar with the area. Overall great stay, at the home was very well laid out for my elderly Mother with all amenities on the first floor and not stairs to enter the home.

Dan and Britt's listing was a beautifully furnished and an extremely clean and relaxing house with an ocean view! Their home was fully loaded with house amenities, including a completely stocked kitchen! They were very easy to communicate with and they made the stay by the ocean so relaxing, with their various board games provided, as well as puzzles! The highlight of our trip was sitting by the fire pit on the deck and drinking tea and hot coco, while talking and laughing for some great family time! This house has a great family room to enjoy everyones company, and it was the perfect size for three families! Thank you so much for Dan and Britt for a great stay!

Mila was a fantastic host. No detail was overlooked, the home was spotless and had every amenity you can imagine. The beach, the views and sunsets are unsurpassed. Every room has a full view of the beach & you cannot help but be relaxed. If you are considering Mila’s home for a vacation do not hesitate, jump on this right away. You will not regret it. Every request we threw at Mila was met with thoughtful consideration and in every case we were accommodated. We have stayed at a number of different Airbnb’s, this is by far the nicest property and best host we have ever experienced. We used the home as our headquarters for our wedding weekend, this included having a few visitors and every single one was over the top impressed with this home. You cannot go wrong staying here no matter how long or short your stay. We did not want to leave. Thank you Mila for adding so much to our weeding weekend!

We had a wonderful visit at Mai's place. The kitchen had everything necessary to prepare our meals and we appreciated the amenities stocked (salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, etc). Rooms were as described and we found it very spacious for a family of 6 adults and 3 young children. Our family really enjoyed the outdoor space, especially the Koi pond sitting area. The pool was very clean and we all enjoyed our time there, especially the kids. We made use of the BBQ and had no problems getting it started. Our only suggestion would be to update the instructions for the pool as it appears the host controls this via wifi and that is not stated in the instructions for use. Overall, we loved our stay and would not hesitate to visit again! Thank you to Mike & Mai for promptly responding to any of inquiries during the stay.

Cynthia’s place was perfect, she communicated promptly. Great location and clean bathrooms and kitchen. Loved the washer and dryer, clean and very accessible in the garage. Definitely recommend this place!

Enjoyed our stay at The Bright House! Loved how quiet and peaceful the neighborhood was, and how close it is to the beach and great shopping and restaurants.

We stayed at Pete's place because it has a gorgeous pool (the pool slide was a huge hit), is close to Del Mar racetrack, and is close to the beach/ocean (you can see the ocean from the front yard). We took our two Bichons and felt safe and secure letting them out. We have family in San Diego and had a small family cook out on Sunday. The grill was awesome, and there are lots of fun things to do on the property, front and back yards. We didn't take advantage of the jacuzzi, but it was already heated up. Since the house doesn't have air conditioning, there were fans in the family room and bedroom. Large kitchen, so you can cook and bake if you don't want to eat out all the time. The house is single story, but outside there are lots of levels where you have to go up and down some single steps,so small children would need help and elderly or disabled folks may need help, too. Pete gave great directions about how to access the main entrance, and the self check-in security code.

Great place! Especially if traveling with kids. Very clean and has all the comforts of home. The yard is a bonus for letting little ones play. Mari was helpful and accommodating and easy to communicate with. My family was actually set to stay at another one of their properties but at the last minute, (and due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control), we were unable to stay at the original booking. But Mari was quick to reach out to me and was very helpful at getting us booked at another location. Definitely recommend and would stay again!

Amazing location with the best floral surronded walk to the beach. Kids and adults loved hanging out here for our vacation.

We stayed here for our spring break with my 6 kids. Ages 23-5. We are not partiers just a family get away to relax and cook together. We booked this place based on the pool and it was worth it for us. The previous reviews were alarming about quiet hrs and it being strict but we had no problem and stayed in the pool till 945 at night. I did tell me younger 3 kids to be quiet at night to be respectful and they were for the most part but definitely got loud with their voice a few times. Great house no complaints beds were very comfy!

We usually stay at 5 star hotels in area but decided to try a home in light of our longer term stay. Fortunately, this home on west side of Pac-1, became available during our scheduled trip. Jynel's home met all of our interests and requirements: close walking distance to beach, a pool, easy access to town, comfortable layout, good parking, TV and a view of ocean. Jynel was very responsive to my questions during stay. Kitchen was well stocked and high-end coffee maker was nice touch and avoided having to go elsewhere. Host might consider adding a key for backdoor as easier to enter after beach. Although, we rarely stay at ABNB's or other online booked private homes, we thought Jynel's pricing was a good value; however, the cleaning fees should be a pricing range tied to each tenant circumstances determined post-stay) and ABNB's fees are still excessively high at 15%. In any case, Jynel should remain a superhost.
