Very happy with this accommodation. Met up with our brother and sister in law who were also in Scotland at the same time as us. We are all on holidays from Australia. Oak Cottage was lovely, the kitchen is spacious and really well equipped. The lounge is also very comfortable with some books and games. We were all impressed by the quality, space and furnishings. Had everything we wanted for dining and cooking up hearty meals. It was so beautifully warm too, especially when we arrived and it was misty rain and cold outside. The welcome pack was also appreciated. Thank you so much. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation.

Carmen is a super host, we absolutely loved the home from home home feel. My little boy who is 2 years of age settled to sleep well in the childrens room (this tells me he felt safe in the cottage). The roku stick was available to use and worked easily. The trail at the side if the house has beautiful waterfalls to view and a few stopping spots for those who need to go a little slower/steady or have children. We experienced no issues at all with our stay. Thank you Carmen we will definitely be back again.

Brilliant, private, quiet location. ideal for walkers or for gold panning in the Mennock pass. Has all the necessary facilities you may need and the 'welcome' pack came in very useful. Dog friendly. We intend to visit again when we can free up a long weekend. Very enjoyable. Linda made sure we we arrived and had everything we needed advising where the nearest shop and pub were. ***** highly reccomended.

This is a really lovely, very well equipped, cottage. Lovely and clean, with free toiletries and comfy bed. There are 2 rooms, living and dining, as well as the kitchen, so there's plenty of space to move around. It's set in a very peaceful area and, as I think another guest has commented, all the local people are incredibly friendly. The Mining Museum is just a few minutes walk away and I highly recommend the Visitor Centre, the tour and the cafe. Again, everyone here is lovely. The host left a very good folder with every bit of information you could possibly need on holiday, and she was responsive, friendly and helpful. I was genuinely sad to leave.
