Tranquil cottage in Wanlockhead

Jackie Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a really lovely, very well equipped, cottage. Lovely and clean, with free toiletries and comfy bed. There are 2 rooms, living and dining, as well as the kitchen, so there's plenty of space to move around. It's set in a very peaceful area and, as I think another guest has commented, all the local people are incredibly friendly. The Mining Museum is just a few minutes walk away and I highly recommend the Visitor Centre, the tour and the cafe. Again, everyone here is lovely. The host left a very good folder with every bit of information you could possibly need on holiday, and she was responsive, friendly and helpful. I was genuinely sad to leave. Thank you, Ruby, for a lovely stay.

Ord’s Loft - Old Town Historic Apartment

We absolutely LOVED staying here. It was truly incredible! The host, James, is genuinely so kind and thoughtful. He always responded quickly and when we got in a pinch, he was proactive and super helpful. The loft is so beautiful - I wish I could live there. It is an easy walk to anything you want to do in the city. It’s close to everything and in a gorgeous part of town. If you’re coming to Edinburgh, you MUST stay here. It is truly breathtaking and exactly as promised online!!

Cosy Self-Enclosed Gamekeeper's Cabin Near Biggar

RosieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A lovely cosy little cabin in beautiful grounds of a large home, the gardens are gorgeous and I enjoyed walking around them and greeting the chickens. It was really nice to have a good log burner and wood in the living space, and a comfortable bed. Well equipped, lovely place and would stay again if in the area.

Blackside Cottage in stunning Ayrshire countryside

ChristopherRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had the most wonderful stay at Blackside Cottage and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and attention Andrew and Elizabeth put into making the place welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully presented. The cottage itself is immaculate – stylishly decorated, cozy, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen was a real highlight – far better stocked than most places we’ve stayed – and the log-burning fire made our evenings incredibly relaxing. The setting is just magical. Peaceful, private, and surrounded by stunning countryside, it was the perfect place to switch off and unwind. The freestanding bath was a real luxury – perfect for a long soak after a day of exploring. Andrew and Elizabeth were brilliant hosts. Everything was smooth from booking to check-out. This place is a real gem!

Gran's Cottage

WayneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Scott's place was great for what we needed Quiet tiny village with more sheep and rabbits in the Main Street than people most days If your looking for that out of the way place in a quaint homley cottage this is the one for you take what you need as the village doesn't have a shop so your a couple of miles or so from the nearest small store or 12 to the nearest small town but the views and the drive though the menock pass are well worth it Will definitely be back later in the year as it's handy for our trips and just loved it Wayne n Suzie
