Vacation rentals with a kayak in Comal County

A lovely retreat! Close to the lake, and the river. The trail behind the house was perfect, and the kids even enjoyed the basketball hoop and pickleball court at the end of the trail. The garage has so many great amenities, and the game room was such a blast! Kitchen fully stocked (we made almost all meals at home), beds super comfy with plenty of room for all in the home. Hosts had spot on recommendations for swimming as well. Can’t wait to come back.

This is the second time our family stays at Kasie's place, and we love it! The place is amazing, clean, very well equipped, and she is an amazing host. We definitely recommend.

My family got more out of our visit to Amy's home than we could have expected. The house was absolutely beautiful, the pictures do it no justice! It was clean upon arrival, had all necessities that were listed and is nestled in such a beautiful community. The access to the river was perfect; the whole family enjoyed kayaking, fishing and splashing around in the shallow waters. The house also had binoculars which were a nice touch, you never know how much you enjoy bird watching until you're out in nature! I had my daughters, 1 and 5, and the home was very kid friendly! Tons of board games, a few outdoor games, feed for the deer and they absolutely loved chasing fireflies at night! 10/10 would recommend and look forward to staying here again in the future! Great place very peaceful me and the family loved it very spacious. Even though we were looking forward to spend time at the lake and fish , lake was pretty dry . But we drove around and found some incredible places to swim and fish and beautiful.

We had a very pleasant stay at Tim’s place. Our first impression was the house being spotlessly clean, very modern vibes, lots of sunshine and the smell of a new house! We also appreciate being provided with plenty of kitchen supplies, bath towels, and even all the necessities for water activities like life jackets, kayak paddles, etc. Deers were roaming around everywhere in the neighborhood & very friendly! However, the lake nearby the house has been going through a long period of severe drought so you may need to expect a much longer walk to finally see some water but it’s super muddy and not accessible at all either for swimming or fishing. We picked the place based on the expectation of 3-min walk to the lake where there would be swimmable clear water and found that somewhat disappointed — even though we understand by no means Tim could have controlled the weather and water level at all. There just wasn’t really anything else to do in the area without the lake being accessible.

The home was very nice--and the amenities it offered were great (the waterfront location was awesome). The house itself was very clean and ready for guests. The host was responsive to messages and left very clear instructions for us.

We had our wedding in this airbnb and it has so much space the photos don’t do it justice! The views are gorgeous and much bigger in person! It felt very private and safe. We would definitely recommend this property to any of our family and friends!

Nice, clean and private. Great big windows in the front of the house, We requested window shades for privacy at night, completed, and very responsive. There was a minor issue with the heating, fixed, very responsive! There was a small issue with the dryer, fixed, very responsive! The deer 🦌 were our special guests, they visited us every morning and throughout the day until sunset. The area has septic systems therefore we suggest drinking bottled water. The east window has a great view of the sunrise! Ample space for a family with kids with the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. Cable service was great, never had dropping problems. Very close to restaurants and retail stores. Unfortunately, due to the drought they have been experiencing for the last couple of years, we were unable to enjoy any water activities in the Canyon Lake. There is no water activity at all. This is probably one of the better Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed at. It’s obvious they have put in the effort and took the time to truly understand how hospitality operates. The Casitas are perfectly situated location wise, and are all new construction with modern amenities. Being able to walk down to the river where there’s a fireplace as well as having a fireplace outside your back door was truly a treat as they provide plenty of firewood and such. They also have a golf cart rental available, which I do suggest if you plan on staying a few days. Make sure to pay attention to their local recommendations as all of them were very true. We are already planning our return trip.

Great stay!! Very comfortable for family of four. The park access was excellent for swimming and enjoying the river! Lots of deer activity every day. Thanks again hopefully be back soon!!

This place was incredible. Me and my boys had the best time here for the weekend. Deby is a great host and very accommodating. We even got a delicious key lime pie delivered from Deby. Can’t wait to visit again.

Came for a girls weekend and this cabin did not disappoint! Very comfortable and secure. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and spacious. We would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing stay for a quick girls trip. The cabins had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, plates, cups, cutlery, toaster, coffee maker, salt, pepper, oil, etc. AC and fans worked perfectly in this Texas heat and we were very pleased with how cool it remained for the duration of our trip. It was very peaceful and the best part was being right on the river, which flowed really well past the cabin and made for a great day, sitting in the water and enjoying the surroundings. Lots of people kayaking through or nearby fishing. Next time I’m definitely going to bring my pole, lots of big fish in the middle of the river and it’s walkable for about 100 yards up river and about 150 yards down river, on the other side of the rapids. 100%, will stay again.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! Definitely recommend it to anyone for a quiet, clean place, beautiful scenery and close to town!

Beautiful and peaceful place to stay at. Lake to wake up to every morning. Kayaking and fishing was fun! My family enjoyed it!
