Cottage vacation rentals in Comal County

Cute little cottage with a ton of amenities right outside of downtown Wimberley. The location is great because it’s quiet but close enough for a 3 minute trip down the road to restaurants and shops. I’d recommend cabin 1/white because your porch with hot tub is very private. Everything was very clean and in excellent condition. I’d definitely stay here again.

We had a great time, Tom was quick to respond when we were booking, the place was great, brought our dogs and had a really nice time. Right on the water and we had fun fishing from the lower level of the yard. Great outdoor grill and dinning area. Would stay again. Location was great and very convenient to everything.

Great stay!! Very comfortable for family of four. The park access was excellent for swimming and enjoying the river! Lots of deer activity every day. Thanks again hopefully be back soon!!

We enjoyed our stay! Perfect location, quiet and peaceful! The hot tub was a plus and the house was cozy. We would definitely recommend this place and come back!

We had a little hiccup getting into the cabin but Cherri immediately came out to help. The cabin was perfect and secluded exactly like the photos.

Absolutely an adorable house with a lot put into the decor. It felt like home away from home. There are 3 types of AirBnbs: 1. Not going back there 2. That was enjoyable 3. Didn’t want to leave We definitely DIDN’T want to leave. -Neighborhood was clean. -Property and inside of the house was clean. -Easy to find. -Was private but yet people were around. -Adorable unique decor. -Solid A/C and heater. -Great water pressure. -Host was very responsive and friendly. We want to stay there again!!!

Fernweh AirBNB along the Guadalupe River was the best stay-cation. The amenities with pickleball, basketball, pool/hot-tub, and the river complete with private tube launch (of course!) entertained both my teenager and first grader for days! They even allowed us to bring our dog ( for a very reasonable added fee ) was so thoughtful and generous. We can’t wait to return again this summer! Thank you, Dakota, for a fantastic Spring Break experience for my family & I.

On our 5 week work-related tour through a part of the USA, we stayed some days in Wimberley. In April Texas is not too warm, and every night we sat on the porch. Inside was also great. And one thing: there were more than enough plates, spoons, cups et cetera. It was way better than we expected, after staying in a hotels a couple of nights.

We had a wonderful stay! This place was perfect for us & our older kiddos & 2 dogs - the property was a perfect fit! It was centrally located to Wimberley (we visited a winery), the River (we floated one day) the lake & several other restaurants and attractions that Ginger & Randy had listed for us. But the thing that stood out the most was the deer!! There was deer corn on property already for us, but we grabbed extra at the Lowe’s grocery store down the road. There is an empty lot next to this one, the deer, baby deer, families.. come up and feed. They are so close, it’s almost as if you could hand feed. So amazing and definitely a highlight for us! The yard is so spacious for your dogs to roam/run, it is fully fenced. There is a guest house that is part of the listing. Fun house with everything we needed! Thanks for hosting us!

Fantastic Airbnb. Private and spacious, well appointed, and comfortable—with peaceful and relaxing vibes all around. The wrap around deck is the perfect place to hang out after a day of hiking and swimming. So glad we found it. Also excellent, accommodating, and responsive host. If you’re there for a show at Whitewater, look up NB Rides on FB—it’s a local rideshare service that’s way more reliable than Uber given the location and cell reception.

We have stayed here before. First time was because it was the only place we could find that would take 3 dogs. This time was because we wanted to stay here again. We love how accommodating it is for the dogs and us. They can run free in the front as we sit and drink our coffee in the morning or chill on the patio at night. I love not having to worry about them getting out or anything getting in. It definitely meets our needs. Close to all the cute little Texas towns in Hill Country. Our daughter is in San Marcos and we like exploring the Wimberley area. We drove into Austin for the day and it was not too terribly far. An hour to South Austin. We have dined nearby Ollie's with our dogs at Savage's, Krause's, Monster Treats, The Let Go...There are more! The Hill Country is very dog friendly.

Wonderful place with plenty of room for the entire extended family! Loved the view, location was close to anything you needed, games were super fun, had lots of great laughs with the family! Great place, we will be back!

Felt right at home. ☺️ Had all kitchen essentials for cooking. Liked that there was a washer and dryer since we did enjoy a trip to the river. The patio chairs on front porch were very comfortable. I like the privacy of having our own separate space even with other rentals on site around us. All in all a great location for being able to access the park or river. Definitely would rent this place again.

We had a great time staying 4 nights at Jim&Tambra's Casita. Great location between San Marcos and Wimberley. Easy access to restaurants, San Marcos attractions and located in beautiful TX hill country. The casita is located in a super quiet neighborhood, especially enjoyed the option to go for runs or walks in the quiet neighborhood streets as well the path on the property. The casita is exactly as described, super clean, everything is new and super functional. Jim&Tambra were very helpful and even explained some of the uniqueness of their beautiful place. Definitely recommend and will stay here again for future visits!

This place was beautiful very peaceful. Going inside was so beautiful very clean and organized. Kitchen had everything you need the living room was nice with game to place with the family. The beds, pillows and sheets were supper comfortable. Restrooms were really clean. Highly recommend!!

The cottage was amazing. Dillon was very responsive and extremely hospitable. Road noise took away a little from the serenity, but not enough to ruin anything. Sitting out by the fire under the stars was so peaceful. The cottage itself was extremely clean and organized. Dillon put an enormous time and effort into making this a spectacular getaway. Highly recommend.

This getaway house on the river on private property is the best for a family of four. We were blown away by the layout with the river access steps away. The fire pit was the best! We were able to start a camp fire each night and the kids loved making s'more's. We were able to unwind and relax in our own area of the river as well. We absolutely will be back and book again when coming back to the river. They had tube's and everything needed for the river as well for the grill. Can't wait to be back!

I decided to splurge on my family visit & this didn’t disappoint. My brother lives only an hour away but we were seeing Willie at the Whitewater Ampitheater (both phenomenal) and I wanted to treat us all. Brownie points all around for my choice that are still going strong! Driving up the little hill into the driveway, we found the house nestled in among the trees with a view to the lake. Clean, stylish, roomy on the inside, my 6’4” brother was delighted with the king size bed, my daughter was delighted with the little balcony off her bedroom so she could read and watch for wildlife and we loved our big bed overlooking the front where the herd of deer gathered waiting for their corn! But the weather was perfect and we spent most of our time gathered outside in the comfy Adirondack chairs or in the screened in porch. The only sad thing about the entire time was how low the water in Canyon Lake has gotten. Pray for rain soon! Thank you, Richard. My brother will be back with his clan!

I had a wonderful week long stay in Wimberly and this house was a great home base. The house was very clean and comfortable. The owner had supplied water, snacks and coffee as a courtesy. The host was responsive, helpful and offered suggestions related to my interests. So much to do in Wimberley! Nearby State Parks, nature areas and parks have great hiking and views. Highly recommended!

I cannot say enough about this place. Perfect size for a small family or a few friends (we represent the former). A rare balance of charming, contemporary, and clean. Plenty of decor details that make you feel at home and immersed in the location all at once. A quick drive to downtown and even closer to the water. The outdoor seating with gazebo was lovely and definitely recommend visiting when the weather is nice enough to enjoy both the Airbnb and surrounding area to the fullest.

The Blue Lake House is lovely. It was the perfect balance to enjoy the calmness of nature all while being within a drive able distance to town. Our boys loved the bunk beds and comfy living area. Drinking coffee on the balcony enjoying the beautiful views was my favorite.
