Really beautiful farmhouse, with a great host. The guesthouse has everything that‘s needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay and the garden is lovely! Would really recommend staying here.

Stayed again for one night at Catherine's gite on our return journey this time back to the uk. Catherine had thoughtfully pit the heating on as now the nights are getting that bit chillier. This stay was just as good as our one night stay in October, this time we chose to eat out and Catherine kindly recommended a local restaurant in Jonzac ( an easy 10 minute drive), Le Coq D'or and the food was fab, so many thanks Catherine and hope to see you again.

Lovely little gîte - Suzy had thought of everything! Cosy, comfortable with lots of nice touches. Very peaceful surroundings but close enough to drive for restaurants, etc. Suzy was very responsive and full of ideas for our stay. Would fully recommend!

We had a really wonderful stay here. The Cottage had everything we needed and Mandie and Badger were super hosts. The location is perfect, far enough out of town to really experience peace and tranquility and close enough to everything that you may want to explore. The little touches offered such as fresh bread delivered to your door each morning and everything for your first evening meal on arrival were very welcome. We would love to return!

We had a great time with the family in Katherine and David's cottage. The cottage is very well-appointed and comfortable and they advised us on several interesting activities to do with the kids nearby.

Very good stay in this beautiful and AUTHENTIC family home with undeniable charm. We were 4 adults and 2 children 3/4 years old: the children loved playing in the sandpit/bocce court in the garden and the educational farm nearby, we adults we loved the large friendly kitchen and the masterful bathroom with views of the countryside. Small bonus for dishes: what a pleasure to eat on cute vintage plates! The house is very old, so it was a little wet when we arrived (no surprise given the season) but once the fireplace started and the house ventilated, everything was normal. Assessment: a peaceful and refreshing country stay, thank you very much Katy 💚

Great stay at Les Hiboux! Warm welcome, well-equipped home and suitable for large families. Caring and responsive hosts if needed. Quiet, relaxing place. I highly recommend it!

My time at Le Petite Chouette was utterly magical. I stayed for a month and fully recharged my soul in this peaceful, beautiful spot surrounded by nature. Ania and Mark are so kind and attentive, and the gite has everything you could possible imagine for your comfort and well-being. The kitchen has everything you might need for cooking, and my favorite part is the bed, as it was more comfortable than hotel beds with crisp fresh linens and even an electric blanket for a cozy night. I’ll never forget my peaceful evenings in front of the fire (thank you for generously supplying wood!) my long walks to chateau Lavauguyon and the village, excursions to Site de Peyrassoulat, my visits to the contemporary art and meteorite museums in Rochechouart, and my lovely chats with Ania, Mark, their sweet dogs, and the chickens! I am forever grateful for what this stay has done for my spirit! I highly recommend this place if you want deep rest!

Alfie and I had a great time at Lee's immaculate courtyard cottage while house hunting in the area. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. A lovely, cosy place and a much appreciated and unexpected tipple awaited us after a long drive, which was very welcome! Nothing was too much trouble. The quality of decor and bed linen is first class. We are looking forward to our next stay again soon. Highly recommended.

We had a nice short stay at Frances. Everything was as described, clean and tidy. It's a really cosy place.

We had a wonderful stay at Inge’s farmhouse which is obviously a much loved family home from home, along with beautiful artistic touches. The pool was gorgeous and it was a delight to swim with an uninterrupted view of the vineyards. Our kids enjoyed the swing, volleyball and pool inflatables and we enjoyed the various places to sit outside. Inge and her family were fantastic hosts and shared lots of local info and recommendations for days out and things to do.

We had a fantastic week at La Gigon, so peaceful and relaxing, it had all we needed and more. Our 3 kids (6-9 years) had a ball in the pool and using all the games room had to offer. Judy was friendly and easy to communicate with and Jackie her property manager was welcoming and lovely. I highly recommend La Gigon and would love to return in the future.

We spent a few days in this very nice house. The amenities are very complete, the bedding is very nice and the location of the house is perfect! We are very happy to have discovered this place, we would highly recommend it 🤗

We had a pleasant and relaxing stay, quiet in this peaceful retreat. The environment is beautiful. The accommodation is spacious, spotless and with all the amenities needed. The pool is a plus in the summer. Annabelle and her husband are welcoming, helpful and available while remaining discreet. We'll be back, for sure!

Great, our stay was shortened but we'll be back next week.

Clean, comfortable accommodation, surrounded by nature and animals for the delight of our children, who discovered chickens, rabbits, geese and sheep. There are many attractions to see and do all around (remarkable village, canoeing, walks, etc.) Mauricette was very nice, there for us on our arrival. A real weekend of disconnection. Thank you!

one night stop, on our return journey, but very well received by Florent's wife, and perfect accommodation, new bedding, very functional sofa and cottage full of equipment and leisure.. foosball, comics/ books.. everything is designed for our well-being.. very quiet environment we'll be back to you
