Cottage vacation rentals in Channel Islands Beach

This is our 3rd time staying at Joseph & Kelly’s place! It is always a pleasure! They make you feel right at home and are willing to help with any need! We love this place and plan to return very soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at Dana's cottage. It was very clean and comfortable with a kichen that had everything we needed to cook great meals. The neighbors were friendly and it was in a great location for enjoing all Ventura and the surrounding area has to offer!

**An Amazing Stay!** We had an incredible five-night stay at this wonderful Airbnb after our wedding, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The comfortable furniture and cozy atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home. We slept like babies in the super comfy bed! The neighborhood was fantastic, and we enjoyed surfing every day and indulging in delicious meals. You have to check out Malibu Brew Co and get a burger and a couple of beers. The hosts were exceptional—they clearly know how to run an Airbnb and made our experience unforgettable. This is definitely one of the best Airbnb’s I have ever stayed in. I very highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time and loved the house! It was extremely clean and well-outfitted. We would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a lovely home in a beautiful location!

Our stay here was quick, but just what we were looking for—peaceful and quiet. Our family of six stayed, and one reason we chose it was because each of our four kids would have their own bed. No pillow barriers needed haha. Speaking of beds, these were the *most* comfortable ones we’ve used at an AirBnB. The space was comfy, inviting, and super cool. We loved looking at all the music industry memorabilia, too; what a neat legacy for Michele to share with her AirBnB guests! One thing to note: the place is a converted garage so it is cooled and heated with a mini-split. It wasn’t turned on when we got there, and we wish it had been because it was a pretty cold, drizzly night (December) and took a long time to heat up. So if you stay here, maybe request that it be turned on in advance of your arrival. I’m sure the property management wouldn’t mind at all because they were nothing but accommodating and welcoming. Our big family felt lucky to find this place to stay while in the area.

George’s place was the perfect beach getaway! The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location can't be beat - just a short walk to the beach made it so convenient to enjoy the sand and surf. The host was welcoming and check-in was a breeze. I had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend this rental to anyone looking for an amazing beach vacation. Five stars all the way!

Wonderful stay. Wanted to get away from LA and have a nature focused time with my dogs. Felt right at home. Perfect little cabin!!

My husband and I spent 2 days at Darryl’s beach cottage in Malibu. The house is beautiful and the location just amazing. It is simply lovely and you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Darryl was very helpful and responded in a timely manner to all of our questions. After spending the days in a very busy Los Angeles, returning to the beach cottage was the highlight of our days. And we were very happy with the choice we made. There is a whole foods market just 2 minutes drive away. The beach is right in front of the house. On our last morning we had breakfast out on the terrace and a group of 3 whales passed right in front of the cottage! Such an amazing thing to see from your front porch! We highly recommend staying here!

This was an amazing stay for my wife and I's honeymoon. Not only is it a 10 minute walk to the beach, but has quick and easy access to Santa Barbara and Ventura. Reina was kind, helpful, and was always available if we had any questions!

This was a nice little place to stay. It’s kinda secluded but very peaceful. I would recommend it to other people looking for quietness.

We throughly enjoyed our stay here! The location is amazing and the cottage was exactly what we needed. All the beach supplies in the garage were awesome, including the bikes. We used the grill every night on the patio before walking to watch beautiful sunsets. Gary even let us add an extra day at the last minute. Everything was easy, plenty of towels, kitchen/grill supplies, washer and dryer, and even a cordless vacuum. Beds were comfortable and the living room space was perfect for our family of 4. We hope to stay again!

Leah's place is beautifully situated near the beach, downtown and the Amtrak station. We arrived by train and did not have a car. The beach and restaurants in town all walkable! The cottage is comfortable and quiet. Leah is a very friendly and responsive host. We will certainly stay here when we come back to Carpenteria!

What a great spot! There is a lot to do within walking distance but there are a lot of stairs to get to the main thoroughfare. The cottage was super cozy for a tiny house. The kitchen had amenities for the first morning which was helpful after a day of travel. We wished we had more time to spend there but there was so much to do in Ventura.

Had a wonderful peaceful stay at the cozy cottage. I was staying over Easter and the real Easter bunny visited in the back yard! Great bucolic retreat from a hectic work schedule. Would return and recommend this one for romantic getaway, cooking and al fresco dining, lounging in the shade and finally writing that script or novel you’ve been contemplating!

We loved staying at Fawns place. So close to the beach and great restaurants, we also loved the farmers market on Sunday. Will definitely be staying at Fawns place again!

Nancy’s place was perfect for us for our week+ stay while visiting family in the area. The house was immaculate and well stocked with everything that we needed. Nancy was quick to respond to any questions we had. We loved the neighborhood as we are big walkers and the neighborhood streets and the preserve trail right at the end of the road were great for exercise. It was a bit of a cool week while we were in SoCal so the heater/fireplace was a welcome plus for keeping us comfortable. As a tea drinker, I was happy to have an electric tea kettle available while my husband enjoyed the keurig machine and the supply of k-cups Nancy provided. We would certainly stay again.

You will never stay in an Airbnb as beautiful or with a host as accommodating. Fari and Nina set the bar for what an Airbnb experience should be. Upon arrival we were greeted by Fari and his lovely wife Nina and made to feel immediately at home. We were lost for words for how beautiful both the location was and also the quality of the property's finish and all of it's contents (the kitchen is better equipped than our kitchen at home!) Fari went the extra mile to ensure we had the most enjoyable trip and were treated like family, as opposed to tenants, throughout the whole stay - whilst also ensuring we had all the privacy we needed. Fari ensured we felt settled in Malibu - providing local expertise and guidance to all the wonderful hiking trails and flora & fauna in the area and showing us the sites. Not forgetting the best daily smoothies! We are truly grateful to both Fari and Nina for having us at their home, and leave feeling like we've gained new friends for life. Until next time

We come to Ventura a few times every year for work, and we would be glad to stay here again!

My family and I had a great stay! Upon arriving, I was highly impressed with how clean everything was! We loved being able to walk right across the street and enjoy the beautiful beach views. The location was great and Erica was responsive to any questions we had. She also gave us a great breakfast recommendation. Being able to do laundry was a bonus for me, and the outside sitting area was very relaxing. When visiting the area in the future, we will definitely stay again!
