Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Central Saanich

The Twin Palms at Forbidden Island Motor Lodge is beyond cool. The mid century mod vibes were so rad, from the decor to the layout. The location is easily walkable to the local restaurants and the ferry. Comfy bed, private soaking tub outside and the fire pit were great after a long day of exploring the island. Like a private groovy sanctuary. It was like being transported to the 60s in the best possible way. I was only sorry I didn’t bring a caftan. Can’t wait to come back and see how the entire property develops. Jason has a vision and it’s got fabulous potential for an entire resort.

We had a great stay! Location was close to the ferry. It is right next to the airport so keep that in mind if you are sensitive to noise but our toddler thought it was awesome seeing the planes take off. Definitely would visit again.

Gerry was as excellent of a host as they come! He met us upon arrival to help us find the house. He was very flexible even though we were running later than we thought due to the ferry. The house is amazing - so clean, updated and comfortable. And it has all the comforts of home that you would need. He goes above and beyond, and we will definitely stay there again!

Budd's place was even better than I expected and I can't wait to return. My friends were also blown away by how stunning it was. It had everything you could possibly need and was such a great escape from the city. Highly recommend!

What a slice of heaven! It was even better than the pictures! We thoroughly enjoyed 2 nights here (wishing it was longer) with our 18&21 year olds. There was plenty of space for us to gather as a fam or find a chill out spot alone. Allison and Sean were great with communication and giving advice for good hiking trails too! We would love to one day return!

Tim and Patti were great hosts. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return when next on Mayne Island. The space was clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and peaceful. We were wowed by the great views and appreciated being so close to the trails. Thank you for such a relaxing long weekend!

We had a nice stay of three weeks at this Airbnb. The location is perfect, just a short drive from Victoria as well as close to stunning hiking trails. The place was very clean. We liked that it had a large TV in the living room and another one in the master bedroom. The gas fireplace in the living room was perfect for taking the chill off of the downstairs area in the morning, the only time we felt we needed to use it. The master bedroom was spacious with lots of closet space and drawers. We used the second bedroom as an office, and liked that there was enough space for two people to work. The upstairs bathroom featured a huge walk-in shower that was a real treat. We also enjoyed meeting the owner and his friendly dog, Biscuit, who live next door. We thought this airbnb was very reasonably priced and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

: We stayed at Jiva’s Airbnb for a girls’ weekend to celebrate my mom’s 70th, and it was absolutely perfect! The views of the ocean and mountains are simply breathtaking—better than we could have imagined. The accommodations were wonderful: very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub every night, taking in the scenery and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. It was the perfect spot for a special celebration, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay, which was relaxing, comfortable and felt like home. The bed and couch are both comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. What a treat to have croissants in the freezer! We were pleased that we could bring our dog with us. The Airbnb is close to Shawnigan Lake, a couple of blocks away. We hope to return.

This cabin we didn’t want to leave, it’s so cozy and has more than you need for a relaxing peaceful getaway, fire pit outside, hot tub, fire inside, we will be back, walk to Kinsol Trestle bridge, close drive to lake. Lovely cabin for the perfect nature weekend escape. We loved spending time with the dogs, relaxing in the hammock, and watching old movies at night beside the fire. Michele was a great host and we would come back again!

My family and I had a very lovely, relaxing stay at Jessica’s cabin. It has everything you would need for a weekend getaway. One thing we wish we packed were eye masks as the sun woke us up due to no window coverings!

We had a great stay. Nice home base as we ventured out to some local attractions and hikes. Lots of board games and some activities for young kids also. Beds were comfortable and home was cozy. We would stay here again.

We loved our stay at Leah’s cabin. Everything was pristinely clean and the interior is so beautifully decorated. The property is quiet and peaceful with serene views of the lake. We found lots of great restaurants and hiking trails nearby and the nearest town is an easy 5 min drive. Would 100% stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary weekend stay at Victor's place! Being dog-dads, we always appreciate a dog-friendly rental, and our golden-doodles made themselves right at home. The house was very comfortable. A fire was lit for our arrival, and the place is well stocked for cooking, cleaning, etc. Would definitely recommend!

Such a beautiful home and getaway. The area is nice and quiet. We loved our time here at Trini and Kim’s cabin. They were super responsive when we had questions. Every thing you can possibly need was in the cabin. They even had plates, dinner ware for toddlers/kiddos! Tons of tea and all the appliances and gadgets you could possibly need. Our little guy and our doggies loved the yard space in front. Cabin is a bit close to the road but it’s a quiet road so we didn’t hear or worry about road traffic. Loved the windows and looking out as we enjoyed the fireplace and living room. Really enjoyed their spot.
