Vacation rentals with lake access in Carcassonne

It's hard to write a review that doesn't seem sponsored because everything was so perfect, but I assure you, we're real human travelers and we really found a perfect place. Val and Phil are very present while being non-intrusive, they have excellent advice and are very attentive to the guests of their cottages. I say "their" because there are 3 cottages for rent in addition to their private residence and each of them has its own personal private area, the (large) swimming pool is shared but this allows you to meet together for moments of conviviality. The "Figuier" cottage we booked is perfect in its design and offers breathtaking sunrise views. A little piece of heaven at the foot of the Black Mountain.

Gaëlle is a very responsive host and her listing is as described. It is decorated with great care and you can feel at home. Small plus, for the terrace that allowed us to enjoy the sun. ☀️ This property is fully equipped to accommodate family and/or friends. I would highly recommend this rental. Apartment rented during a business trip. Had a very good stay. Laëtitia is a welcoming person, the apartment is new, very clean, well-equipped and tastefully decorated. I recommend it without hesitating.

Thanks to Fabienne for hosting us, she is very responsive to answering questions and was a good source of tips for visiting the area. She and her husband are lovely people. They run a charming little restaurant in the village, very nice to have a good time. We had a great weekend with friends with our children. The house is perfectly clean and tastefully decorated. The environment is relaxing and peaceful if you want to disconnect from your life at 100 miles an hour and you enjoy nature, this is the right place! The WiFi works without any problems😉! Never given a 5 star review for everything before but Christophe deserves it hands down. Everything we needed was available in the property and Christophe supplied all the information from how to use to local attractions. He even visited to welcome us 😊. I would without hesitation recommend both Christophe and his lovely property and would rebook without a second thought.

Very pleasant stay in our cottage (Le Mas d'Hélène) with all comforts, which is on the ground floor of the owners' house. The cottage overlooks the large garden of the house. The garden is very well maintained and we enjoyed the deckchairs after our hikes. 😊 The owners, Sophie and Laurent, are very friendly, caring and available. Their dogs are adorable. They also have chickens. The village of Mons La Trivalle, right next door, is lively and pleasant with all amenities (Vival grocery store, bar, restaurant, market on Thursdays). The greenway runs through it (bike rental possible). The cottage is conveniently located for beautiful hikes in the Caroux and Espinouse massifs (Héric gorges, Colombière gorges, Caroux summit, etc.) without forgetting the pretty village of Olargues 8 km away. A big thank you to Sophie and Laurent for this very relaxing stay!

Top-notch arrangements and services for the 2 couples we were!! We were able to enjoy the pool 👍 The kitchen, although we only used the coffee maker and kettle, is very well equipped. A "paradise cocoon" furnished and tastefully decorated, a few kilometers from Narbonne while being located in a beautiful small village at the foot of the water with the possibility of very decent catering (×2) on the pretty typical square of the south 🥰 We highly recommend it for anyone who loves peace and quiet while being able to easily access various activities. And again THANK YOU to Carole, a warm host, who does everything for our well-being, and, a guide to good information+++!! If we come back to the area we will know where to stay 😁

Everything is nickel-chrome at Catherine's. The apartment is very spacious and very well furnished. We discovered her Book on the site, it gave us ideas for interesting visits.

Nice and well-appointed accommodation. Comfortable bedding. The garden is nice, a little left to the birds but nice. Brigitte was discreet and responsive. Although the apartment is located within the family home, we enjoyed the quietness of the place. In addition, Peyriac-de-mer is a very friendly village with its ponds and walks on foot or by bike. I recommend booking for restaurants.

We couldn't fully enjoy the accommodation and the area because our stay was very short (one night). Nevertheless, it went very well. We particularly appreciated the total autonomy and communication with our very friendly host.

We had a great girls weekend in this beautiful place. The house is located in a quiet area, perfect for relaxing. It is very well equipped, the pool and hot tub are really great! There were 7 of us and everything was perfect to fully enjoy the stay. I highly recommend it!

The cottage is perfectly positioned with a lovely view over the nearby lake. The accommodation is bright, spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our month long stay in this beautiful place.

Stunning property in beautiful isolation, with woodland, wild garden areas and babbling stream - but close to pretty small villages and Carcassonne only 1/2 hour away with large supermarkets for a “big” shop. Very easy to settle in to a very relaxing holiday. Our host has a family house renovated sympathetically full of character and personal effects. 3 good sized bedrooms, though only one toilet on the bedroom floor. Huge living room with fantastic views - ditto the kitchen, which is well stocked. We met Guillaume whilst mowing his vast area of grass - absolutely charming and he was very helpful and responsive throughout. Some toys, cot and a stair gate for our toddler grandson! We absolutely loved it - a joy and a privilege to experience this unique property. PS NOT for people with mobility problems. We absolutely loved it!

Wonderful stay with family. The house is perfect for gathering with its multiple levels! Everyone has their own little space. The garden and terrace are great for having a good time (meals/relaxation) and hosting pets (enclosed). I recommend it for recharging (house surrounded by nature) and visiting (proximity to several villages and Carcassonne). However, some small elements were missing to make the stay perfect (only 1 towel present, no dishwashing product, empty hand soap upstairs). I therefore recommend that future guests plan everything they need. Thank you

A very nice stay with family for the Ascension, in an area full of charm and a beautiful environment that could be reminiscent of Tuscany. Vines, cypresses, olive trees, sun, outdoor dining, beautiful sheltered pool, very large and beautiful garden, a little paradise! Close to the village and abbey of Lagrasse (Le Bastion gastro restaurant!), the splendid abbey of Fontfroide, Carcassonne and the African reserve of Sigean, enough to keep the whole family busy. A beautiful memory.

An exceptional stay! The gite is so well set up from the glorious setting and peaceful atmosphere to the fast wifi, underfloor heating, modern interior, large comfortable bed and luxurious bedding. It is a little hidden gem, surrounded by beautiful countryside and our hosts were beyond amenable and welcoming. Colin’s incredible art just creates a wonderful atmosphere. Truly one of the best Airbnb experiences we have had in a long time! Wouldn’t hesitate to return to this lovely gite in Aragon.
