My husband and I know this pretty medieval village and area well as we’ve had a house here for many years. But as we had to make an unexpected brief visit in mid-winter we decided to stay in The Pastel Nest rather than having to deal with cleaning and heating up our house. Marina was lovely to deal with and her place was cosy and comfortable for a brief stay. It was very cold out and she had put the electric radiators on in advance to heat the place before we arrived which we greatly appreciated. This bijou house looks like the photos or even better and the description of amenities is accurate. We would not hesitate to recommend The Pastel Nest.

What a fabulous place! We stayed here for 4 nights and it’s in a great location! There were 3 of us girlfriends traveling together and we each had our own bedroom with our own sink and shower (2 shared WCs, —one on each of the floors that had bedrooms) The kitchen was equipped for making meals which helped us budget our expenses. Every morning we made coffee and enjoyed fresh baguettes 🥖 still warm from the nearby bakery (BTW the croissants 🥐 were amazing too!) Natalie was a gracious and thoughtful host. She gave me recommendations for places to see and helped direct us to where we could find groceries, etc. Also, we were delighted to see she left us a bottle of water and a bottle of wine in our fridge upon our arrival. This is a lovely place, and we appreciated the spiral staircase that connects the 4 floors inside the apartment—it was both charming and gave us a sense of spacious for when we wanted time to ourselves. I’m so glad we stayed here!

Really great stay at this lovely house in Carcassonne. The place is even better than the photos, very spacious, very well equipped Kitchen and the roof top terece is just a perfect spot for a coffee or beer overlooking the Citadel. We were here for 4 weeks with perfect WiFi. The host is really friendly and helpful. He helped organise some bikes for us at an outstanding rate, and was on call for any queries or recommendations. Would happily stay here again and would recommend to others.

My friend and I stayed at Tim’s place for 3 nights and absolutely loved it, his photos do not really do it justice. It is so much bigger and better than we were expecting. Everything we needed was there: the beds were comfortable, it was close to both the medieval city and the modern city, where there were lots of places to eat at. Both the River Aude and Canal du Midi were delightful to walk along, and the locals were so friendly and helpful. We cannot fault it and would like to thank Tim for all of his help and local knowledge advice.

A swimming pool's shimmering turquoise water reflects sunlight, creating a serene atmosphere. Stainless steel steps invite entry into the clear water, while natural wood decking surrounds the pool, offering a peaceful setting for relaxation.

Sandrine’s place was wonderful, i can highly recommend. The pool and garden are a real oasis in the city, so peaceful and perfect for chilling out after a busy day sightseeing. The house had everything we needed and lots of lovely extra touches, condiments and tea/coffee etc in the kitchen, a nice bottle of wine on arrival, the bathroom had a good selection of toiletries for us to use. Sandrine was super helpful and responsive throughout our whole stay. 10 out of 10!

the apartment was spotless, beyond our expectations. we have 2 young children and the accommodation was quite suitable. the supplies are complete and we did not lack anything. the accommodation was also very well renovated (double glazing, good insulation and good layout of the space, recent installations).

Cathy’s townhouse was a great accommodation for our family for a week in Carcassonne. It is ideally located with shops, restaurants and attractions all within walking distance. We had a rental car and always found a parking spot in front of the house. Cathy and co-host, Marc, were quick to respond to questions and always helpful. Navigating the narrow staircase at night to access the WC on the second floor could be challenging. However, the view from the bedroom on the third floor is magical!

Couldn’t be better situated in a lovely area between the city and the bastide, with walks along the river and a green area just in front. Close to restaurants and shops but in a little oasis. Host was very responsive and met us to show us round. The let is the first two floors of a large house but as there are two exits this isn’t an issue. Kitchen well equipped, welcome bottle of wine and huge showers

We had a wonderful two weeks at Lodge Marie. Marie was an incredibly kind, thoughtful and generous host who clearly cares about the comfort and happiness of her guests. The house was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept so well. Loved the terrace adjoining the bedroom as it was a great sun trap. We enjoyed local walks around the vineyard lanes and to the neighbouring villages but also the house was in a great location for the places we wanted to visit. Easy access to Carcassonne and supermarkets but so many lovely places to visit in the area. WiFi was excellent too. We will certainly return to Marie's if we get the chance. Merci Marie...vous êtes vraiment gentille, charmante et généreuse et tous vos gestes gentils ont été vraiment appréciés.

The space was bigger than I expected, it's a small townhouse at the foot of the citadel. One of the bedrooms has a view of the Citadel. The bedding was comfortable and the rooms are completely dark once the shutters are closed. 👍

Veronique's accommodation was perfect for both of us, we enjoyed the fans because it was very hot, normal in August, the pleasant room, the perfect bedding, the impeccable bathroom, the main room suitable for 2 people, because we ate few meals on site. I recommend and recommend visits to the area of Minerve, Carcassonne and Narbonne for its beaches as well as nearby Spain...

We had a great stay at Benedict’s house. The house was charming and in a lovely location in the town. The views from the roof terrace were beautiful and the kids loved taking a dip in the pool at the end of the day. Benedict was incredibly helpful and quick to respond to any questions and very generous with everything in the house.

The casita is charming we felt very good, Cecile is very attentive. the area is very quiet there is little trade around, but then you walk 10 minutes and you have the castle area and the medieval judad. The house is really cozy, and you have to keep your car.

The house is a large comfortable French home with lots of space. Sadly we were there when it was very hot so we couldn’t use the garden. Located in a fabulous position right in the centre of Caunes. It did help that I had been to the town many times before and I’ve got friends there. The only downside is that another 2 seater lounge is needed in the living room. We had a fabulous holiday and I thoroughly recommend the home and the place.

My friend and I had a wonderful time at Julia's apartment. she was a fantastic host and extremely accommodating of our requests and gave helpful information on where to eat locally. The apartment is spacious, very clean and modern, with all the utensils and facilities you need. It is close to the castle and well located for all Carcassonne has to offer (a lot!). We would happily stay again!

The typical and pleasant house, the location and Renaud's hospitality, everything is done for a great stay and to discover this jewel that is Carcassonne. Renaud is very attentive to his guests. We felt right at home at Renaud's. For those most sensitive to noise, consider earplugs because in the city, and in an old townhouse, there is bound to be some noise.
