Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Cambridge

We had a wonderful stay at the Farmhouse. It was bigger than we expected from the photos and very comfortable. Inside had everything we needed (and more!) including toys and games for the little ones and the gardens were just beautiful. We had lots of fun on the tennis courts! Lots in the area for young families. Hosts were very responsive whenever we had queries. Would recommend and would very happily stay again.

Mark and Nicole are truly the perfect hosts 😍 My husband and I spent nearly four months at ‘The Stables’ and couldn’t have been happier! The house is fabulous and has everything you could wish for. We love to cook and enjoyed cooking here as the kitchen was of a very high spec. The master bedroom was beautiful and the king size bed so, so, comfortable. So If it’s luxury you want, then it’s here. The location is delightful set far back from the road, along a track next to fields. There are lovely country walks nearby, where there are many beautiful horses, muntjacs and many other types of wildlife to see. We regularly had a pheasant who would peer in through our door 🥰 I would recommend staying here as the accommodation is very well appointed and in a lovely peaceful setting. Ampthill only being a short walk from the house is a wonderful little town to go shopping, have coffee or enjoy a lovely meal at one of the many eateries. We will definitely be back and miss being there.

Absolutely gorgeous house with a homely cosy vibe. We felt right at home and had everything we needed to make it a home from home. The host was friendly and very responsive and gave clear instructions how to gain access to the property. Just a short walk into the town which made eating out so easy and accessible - we felt sad to leave and would definitely book again!

Quiet location, about 20mins walk into the city centre. Plenty of space, great for the family and hot water for the shower! Space was exactly what was needed for a quick weekend away. Parking a little tricky as the road is narrow with lots of cars parked on both sides but we could find parking for all the cars.

We had this booked for a weekend recently for a long weekend and it was the perfect setup. Elizabeth was very helpful and accommodating to our needs. Checking in and out was super easy. The cottage lovely and cozy with a great garden to enjoy a morning coffee in. It was spotless and you could tell they care for the property very well.

The most gorgeous house with great facilities. Such peaceful surroundings and felt very safe and secure. The host gave some many recommendations on activities and places to go that aren’t far from the area. Can be a little hard to find, however the host gave clear instructions. Couldn’t recommend more!

I will stay again as it was very comfortable and homely. Nice touch of coffee and biscuits and bread,jam and milk in the fridge! The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in so much so I have got the brand and type so I can replace mine. Loved the soft sheets and duvet too! Plenty of towels. Washing up took a bit of time due to old pipes for the hot water but I saved it up rather than trying to do it each time. The host does warn you of this in the detailed book of flat and local information. The hot water wasn’t an issue though in the bathroom with an electric shower with lots of instant hot water. It’s a very sunny flat with lots of sun during the afternoon. Easy to park behind the building. The building is an old building and does reflect the age but the flat itself is very nicely done. Great quick communication with the host.

Savio's apartment is spacious, clean and beautifully decorated which is equipped with the household essentials I need. It is located in a pleasant and quiet neighbourhood and local shops and supermarket are just across the road. Savio is friendly, considerate and responsive host, who ensures I feel at home. Our communication is clear and smooth. I really enjoy my stay and would recommend this place without hesitation.

I had an incredible stay with Elaine as my host! From the moment I arrived, she made me feel completely at home. Her attention to detail and thoughtfulness ensured that everything was perfect throughout my week-long stay. The space was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly cozy. Elaine went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and was always available for any questions or assistance. She is an exceptional host who genuinely cares about her guests!

This space is an ABSOLUTELY GEM of a find! I ended up with a prolonged stay of about 2.5 months and it was a joy to have this space to stay in and work from. The hosts were receptive, proactive, friendly and supportive. I have nothing negative at all to say about my stay and can’t think of anything that would have made my stay more enjoyable. 5 stars easily!

This flat is an excellent place to stay in Cambridge! A friend and I spent a few days in the city, and we found that this property was the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. It is located about a mile from the city center, so be prepared to walk! We were pleasantly surprised that the property felt even bigger in person than in the pictures. It is quiet, comfortable, and well located for easy access to local shopping, dining, and the university. The kitchen is well equipped if you plan to do your own cooking, and the flat was extremely clean. Kash is a wonderful host who provided clear instructions to access the building upon arrival, checked up on us throughout our stay and provided helpful recommendations for outings in the city. We highly recommend staying in this property on your next visit to Cambridge!

We had a lovely stay at The Parlour with our two young boys. The barn was comfortable and we felt at home straight away. There was a lovely footpath 1 minute away which led to a woodland area, we explored it most nights. We also visited nearby attractions like Knebworth house and Hertfordshire zoo which were great days out. Would definitely recommend.

I booked Tina's lovely annexe as somewhere to stay with my bridesmaids the night before my wedding. It was perfect for what we needed, easy to find and very clean. Would recommend to anyone needing somewhere to stay around the Hitchin area.
