Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Calheta

The villa was beautiful - stunning location - and perfectly furnished. Lovely walk to Ponta do Sol village but the walk back is not for the faint hearted - Bolt is available :-) Whilst there were a few teething issues on arrival, Rita was super responsive and helpful in sorting any problems and our stay was great. It was a lovely stay in a stunning villa with amazing views and we would love to come back.

We had very nice 10 days and were able to use the time well. Everything was immaculately clean and the most important things, like vinegar, oil, laundry detergent, etc. were all there.

We had a fantastic stay at Filipe’s home, which is beautiful and really thoughtfully designed. It’s very well appointed, spotlessly clean and in a very charming little village away from the hustle and bustle of Funchal, but still accessible by car. Communication was excellent and the fruit and biscuits were a lovely touch. Highly recommended.

We (two couples) had a wonderful week in this beautiful house. The house is a little more spacious than we thought. Nice view. Lovely swimming pool. On this slope, there were sometimes clouds, so the sun did not always show itself. For restaurants, you have to take the car. Hosts always responded quickly to a message from us. All in all recommended!

The house was exactly as described — clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Everything was well prepared for our arrival, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and the whole place had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The location was perfect — quiet and peaceful, yet close to local shops, restaurants, and everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space (great for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening). The host was extremely friendly and responsive, always ready to help or answer any questions. You can really tell they care about their guests and put a lot of thought into making the stay enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area

The apartment is peaceful and beautifully situated. The apartment is large and nice, with lots of space inside and outside. Private parking is a plus. The apartment is very well equipped, with good beds and comfortable bed linen and plenty of towels. Very good instructions on the use of the apartment and how to operate the TV. Very well equipped kitchen The apartment is very nicely located, with good views and very nice outdoor area. The apartment is very deserted so car rental is a must. It has a great bathroom and a small but nice toilet as well. We were only 2 guests, but it is fine to stay 4 people here. Even though it's deserted, it's fine to find your way with GPS. Overall a VERY nice apartment if you appreciate staying outside the city's noise and noise, and rather prefer nature, views, tranquility and staying a place that is more real Madeira.

We stayed 13 nights at Fatima's. We've never had a place so clean! The accommodation is damp but Fatima makes sure that we are as comfortable as possible (spare sheets, towels in large quantities, etc.). The apartment is very well equipped, we did not lack anything. The views are splendid! Fatima and her family know how to welcome us, they are very kind and very responsive to our requests. The only negative point, but which is minimal compared to the full potential of the accommodation, is the sound insulation. The ceiling is just a floor and we can hear Fatima and her family walking if we stay in the apartment during the day. The noise never woke us up or prevented us from falling asleep. We highly recommend this accommodation and now know where to stay if we have the opportunity to return to visit the beautiful island of Madeira.

We were in good hands in this beautiful apartment. Since private accommodation is in a residential area, there may be something going on during the day, but as a tourist you are usually on the go anyway. The best equipped kitchen we've ever seen. You think of everything that you don't have to buy yourself because of a week. Shop and restaurant also within walking distance. Good internet. Hope to see you again!

Comfortable and very clean apartment with parking. Well located to visit Madeira especially the western part (we did not change accommodation to visit the eastern part). Thank you for the delicious chocolate cake, fruit and eggs that were waiting for us upon arrival. Good value for money. One small downside, perhaps think of blackout curtains for the bedrooms.

Amazing location, right across the street from the beach! Resturants and a grocery store less than a 5 min walk. A great place to call home during out week in Calhetha.

The accommodation offers a parking space, breathtaking views and in the kitchen you can find everything you need for cooking. Also very clean - so everything is great and you get what the pictures promise

Flawless accommodation, great terrace, it's really a plus Barbecue available, very nice! Small downside on the bedding and the musty smell in the house. Please note, parking at the top of a very steep slope, difficult to access from the road...

Manuel picked us up personally from the town center and helped us with the luggage. We had a great time and would love to spend our vacation in the Oceanic apartment again at any time.

The stay at Juan’s House let us to relax in great atmosphere. The apartment is well equiped even including cofee machine. There is a view at ocean from taracce. It is very clean and very well prepared for guests.

A lovely apartment: convenient, well-situated and pleasant views. Good location if you have a hire car; Funchal isn’t far at all, and there are many local shops and restaurants. Host-wise, unless you speak a little Portuguese, it can be slightly difficult; Jose is happy to call and speak for his mother. Very friendly and welcoming!!!

Wonderful apartment right on the ocean. The apartment was very spacious and has everything you need. Also has easy parking just outside. An extra bonus is all the great restaurants nearby!

This condo was beautiful, clean, and had an amazing view. Plenty of seating, close to a grocery store and many restaurants. The infinity pool which looked over the ocean was lovely. We would definitely recommend.

Everything perfect! Really nice place

I consider my stay at Jennifer's apartment to be one of the best I've ever had. Our group felt very comfortable in the apartment, we had a lot of space and everyone could spend time freely. The view from the balcony was great, the view of the ocean and the surrounding banana plantations pleased our eyes. We prepared meals ourselves in the kitchen, which was fully equipped and there was a lot of dishes and cutlery. In the room with a barbecue and billiards, we had a great time in the evenings, everyone found something for themselves;) I highly recommend staying with Jennifer, the best option you can find on the island. Nice little accommodation with everything you need, good amenities and Carla was very friendly and helpful with questions and if we needed anything. The windows were a bit cumbersome to operate but you can also do that with a little practice. We'd come back.
