The Old Barn, Buxton - A Dream Come True

It's rare to find a place that's both historic and modern. It has been my dream to renovate the unique and private barn at our Grade 2 family home and finally it has happened! I would love to share it with you. Ours is one of the oldest houses in Buxton dating back to the seventeenth century and was once a coaching stop on the medieval road to London. It is now a boutique property set near the common, ideally situated to explore the Peak District yet just a short walk into the town centre.

Smithy Bungalow is in central Buxton, with private parking. Check in 3PM, check out 12PM. Designed for 2 but can sleep 4 people; the bedroom has a king bed with an en suite and the lounge has a double sofa bed with a toilet and sink in the utility room serving the lounge. Dogs are welcome; we just ask that guests keep them off the beds and sofas. Bed linen, towels, cooking utensils plus some basic cleaning and cooking condiments provided but no toiletries for environmental reasons.

The Burrows garden flat in central Buxton

The Burrows is a self-contained garden flat tucked away on an unadopted back road in the heart of Buxton. It has its own private entrance and garden (5 steps down) with an off-road parking space for a small car. A deceptively spacious bolthole the flat has one large bedroom with a kingsize bed, bathroom with bath and shower, a library and study area, a light and airy living room, and a recently upgraded kitchen.
