With a lot of love and diligence, this apartment was completely renovated to highlight the medieval architectural style. Our cozy 25 m² holiday home with garden and barbecue area is surrounded by nature, directly on the Saale and on the Saale bike path in the vineyards of the spa town of Bad Kösen in the Burgenland district. From here you can quickly reach interesting excursion destinations such as Naumburg Cathedral, our numerous castles or Pforta Monastery, as well as historical places and larger cities such as Jena, Leipzig or Weimar. Here you can relax, enjoy your vacation and recover from everyday life.

Our German-American family would be so pleased to invite you into our home. Our charming, 200-year-old guest house is just a few minutes away from the historic town of Weimar. Home to Goethe and Schiller, Bauhaus and rich with culture, there is so much to see and do in this area. We have lovingly renovated our little cottage, framed by roses and furnished with antiques, melding the old-world with a touch of the modern. We hope that each of our guests feels at home.

The bright and cozy apartment is located in a large garden in the district of Taubach, idyllically located on the Ilm, 5 km from the city center in Weimar. A separate entrance leads to the kitchen-living room, a large living/sleeping room and the bathroom. A sliding door can be closed to the kitchen-living room. The garden can be fully used. Various seats invite you to relax. There are two beautiful bike paths to Weimar as well as an hourly bus connection.

Within walking distance of the Landesweingut Pforta is the green oasis with 1000m² country garden - directly on the bike path surrounded by vineyards. The fully developed construction trailer, the separate bathhouse and the spacious terrace offer especially families and larger groups a good combination of togetherness & activity. Since it is a property in nature, everything is never perfect or completely finished - but everything built and laid out with love.

Located directly on the main mile in the west of Leipzig, you can walk to almost everything. The trendy district of Lindenau/Plagwitz offers enough activities for a successful weekend. Stroll right in front of the front door along the Karl-Heine Canal, take a canoe tour or indulge in one of the many local restaurants. The highlight of the apartment is clearly the balcony. Enjoy the beautiful view of Plagwitz and of course the sun, if it shines :)

Apartment with balcony & fast in the center of Leipzig

I am offering our son's newly renovated apartment here. He rarely uses it for work reasons. It is located in a quiet location of Markranstädt. The center of Leipzig can be reached in 16 minutes by regional train. For recreation, you can be at the lake in a few minutes by bike. Feel free to use a storage room for your bikes. Smoking is possible on the balcony. I'd also be happy to greet you in person when I'm in town.

Deutsch: (for english please use Google translate) The whole apartment is fully equipped, there is an Aldi supermarket across the street and the city center is within easy walking distance. The entrance to the city park is 20 meters away. There is a beer garden with wonderful food in the middle of the park and a famous Michelin (1) restaurant very close by.

The town of Apolda is only a few kilometers from Weimar, Jena, Bad Sulza or Naumburg. We hosts live in a house on the same property and are happy to help you with “advice and assistance.”
