Condo vacation rentals in Bowness-on-Windermere

Our family had a lovely stay even our kids loved the apartment. The apartment is very central as it is walking distance to all the restaurants and the city centre. It has a beautiful view of the lake from the lounge and the balcony, peaceful surroundings and it has free parking which is very convenient. We will definitely stay here again when we come back.

Really enjoyed our stay, the property is just as described. Really cosy, but plenty of space, sparkly clean, beautiful view and well located. Can not recommend this place enough!!

We had a fantastic stay with the kids and the dogs for 3 night during the Easter holiday. I would recommend highly if you want a comfortable base to relax but want to be close to the beach and towns. we had a great time exploring the area. Accommodation was top notch, I would definitely stay again.

really excellent apartment with a stunning balcony and views. we loved the sunset and the great atmospheric lights on the balcony. It is a huge apartment with very comfortable beds. great clean kitchen and terrific bathroom. Totally clean with plenty towels and warm. The parking was perfect and key entrance was easy. lovely communication. we will definitely go back to apartment 3. highly recommended and a great location for a stroll to the restaurants and bars.

We had a lovely 3 nights at No.4. After a warm welcome from Dave, we felt like the apartment was a home from home! Everything you could need is there, including a Sainsburys less than a minute walk away if you’ve forgotten something! No.4 is right on the main high street by some excellent cafes and shops, but tucked away so it’s a peaceful and secluded spot to unwind. The evenings were so cosy and warm! We had a great time exploring Troutbeck, Townend and Wray Castle - all accessible on foot straight from the doorstep. So you can leave your car parked safely at No.4! Ambleside is also a short (10min) drive away (or a bus journey) for some lovely meals, and Sizergh Castle is a great place to visit if driving back down south at the end of your stay. We had a great stay at Irina's apartment. We arrived by train and it was easy to walk to the apartment. It is in a central location with easy access to nearby attractions like Kendal Castle. It was easy to catch buses to Ambleside and Grasmere for hiking and touristic excursions. We would definitely recommend Irina's place for a trip to the lake district.

Tranquil setting, lovely apartment and a great base to explore the area from on foot, bike and quick drive to lots of amazing hikes.

What a lovely place and the people are super friendly and very very nice people, shown to our room and immediately you could tell it was absolutely immaculate, parking was easier than we anticipated, the place is absolutely home from home with everything you need, definitely one of the best places we’ve had and will definitely return and have already passed on details to our friends, located in the centre of the village which has loads of pubs and places to eat, highly recommend the butchers also, thanks very much, 5 ⭐ from us

Lovely, cosy holiday apartment with comfortable beds, great bed linen and workable cooking facilities. In excellent location, 4 minutes from the railway and bus station and very close to all of the shops and restaurants in the town.

An Easter Break at The Beehive ,Grasmere. From clear communication & instruction, The Beehive was a perfect place to spend the Easter Break in the Lake District. Accurate description, spotlessly clean. Complimentary bottle of wine and a lovely fruit cake on arrival . The decor was lovely throughout & the apartment had everything we needed during our stay. The views from the communal garden space were lovely & an easy walk into Grasmere took us to some lovely eateries . Really enjoyed the Distillery & The Swan Hotel . Rather than use the car we hopped on & off the regular 555 & 599 buses to Ambleside, Keswick . They were so easy & cheap too. With a flexible check in & out and great communication we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & will surely return . Thanks

What a fabulous host Scott is - lovely apartment in the centre of Cartmel. The quality of the linen, bed and furniture was like being in a 5 star hotel. Lovely touches with chocolate Easter eggs and fresh tulips in the lounge made it an excellent stay.

Ray & Sue's place is superb, very well equipped to a high standard. We found everything to be exactly just right for our needs. Would recommend and would definitely love to return again next time.

Superb location and the perfect base for exploring the area. I only wish I had more time to enjoy Cate’s place and its beautiful surroundings—it all looked absolutely stunning. I had a quiet coffee outside one morning before heading home, and it was incredibly peaceful. Inside, everything was just as expected and fully equipped. Cate also left me some of the best brownies and cookies I’ve ever eaten—such a thoughtful touch!

The apartment is in a fantastic location (can’t get much better in Keswick). Clean, tidy and well looked after. Claire our host was great, super helpful and quick to respond to any queries. I would definitely stay there again.

Can't recommend Kim's place enough! The location is perfect - absolutely loved sitting out on the terrace just listening to the water and looking for red squirrels (we saw one a couple of times!) Very comfy and clean inside too.

We stayed here for 3 nights but could have stayed the whole month. Indoors, this cozy apartment has everything one needs and outdoors is a heaven for walkers and hikers. Free parking is a bonus. The bus stop is just around the corner and so handy for quick visits to the other parts of the lakes. Will recommend to friends

Thurnham hall is a great place to stay!

We loved our stay. The apartment was not like the photos on the listing but it was nice nonetheless. Quiet, easy access to Lancaster, helpful staff, top facilities - we highly recommend the spa. Would like to stay again.

Howe Tarn was such a beautiful place to stay- really peaceful and great location. Mark left the apartment very clean for us and emailed us a guide on what is nearby/ local recommendations which we used. This was really helpful. Great host and great communication. The only small negative was the shower which was not very powerful and not too hot! But other than this, Howe Tarn is a very beautiful place to stay and would recommend it to anyone😊.

This is a charming old place with the character and essentials as if someone still lives there. Very, very clean and tidy. It is set in a beautiful outerskirts area of Bowness with only a short walk to the busy centre. This will suit someone who wants a very peaceful and quiet getaway in a stunning location yet close to the township as an option.
